Supreme Court Allows Mississippi Law Protecting Gay Marriage Dissenters to Stand

The United States Supreme Court declined to hear appeals on two lawsuits aimed at striking down a Mississippi law that allows businesses to refuse to service same-sex weddings.

In an order list released Monday, the highest court in the nation declined without comment to hear the cases of Campaign for Southern Equality et al. v. Bryant and Barber, Rims, et al. v. Bryant, respectively.

At issue was Mississippi's House Bill 1523, also called the Protecting Freedom of Conscience from Government Discrimination Act. ...

People stood up for the national anthem, tipped their hats to ladies, and would never dream of assaulting a teacher. Houses and churches were left unlocked, and keys were left in the ignitions of cars parked on public streets. Any kid could look to any adult for assistance if needed; it would be several decades before "stranger danger" made its debut.
Yes, moral standards were higher, but there were occasional lapses, and once in a while an unmarried gal would get pregnant. However, in most cases she didn't remain unmarried long, because even guys who were not above fornicating believed that when you got a gal pregnant, you paid the piper and not the abortionist.
Preachers were respected and invited to partake of the very best dinner a family could afford, not portrayed as buffoons and ogres in movies and in the press.
And best of all, I never, ever heard "Jesus" uttered as a curse word.
IE, a lot of us miss that America, and yet "I'm kind of homesick for a country to which I've never been before..."

When I was a little boy in the 1950s, things were different in America back then. I remember this country when Hollywood had censors, politicians had a conscience&America had a moral compass. Hemlines were lower&morals were higher& sin was called sin ¬ social disorders. Of course, we didn’t have the technology that we have today. Back then if you said Microsoft they thought you were referring to your mattress.&we didn’t have wifi. We had hifi. It was a time when only women wore earrings &only sailors had tattoos. I remember America when it still had a strong work ethic&business abounded in honesty&integrity&a man’s word&handshake was as good as gold&I remember in America when a parent did not have to worry about what their children saw on TV&marriage was between a man&a woman. There was such a thing as shame in society back then. I remember America when the Church still had authority & there was still a fear of God in the land. I remember a nation that stood on biblical principles& looked to God for guidance &to the Church for direction. It was ok to pray in public school back then&the 10 Commandments were publicly displayed.&if any Atheist cried out against it, there were more than enough Christians to shout them down.

I once watched a documentary of TV where a fellow was posing as a homosexual and he went into Muslim bakeries and asked them to make a wedding cake for him and his whatever. I don’t remember the percentage, but the vast majority told him they would not do that because they didn’t support same sex marriage. This means practically:
1. Homosexuals would not dare ask a Muslim baker to do that.
2. If they did, they would never dare to sue them.
Why is that? A rhetorical question.
You are on to something most others aren't. These wicked individuals are at war with a holy God and his Christ.

I wonder what Muslims are thinking about the softness Christians are treating this type of persecution? Someone perhaps has infiltrated the Gay movement just as Russia has infiltrated our democratic system.

Neh9:28But after they had rest, they did evil again before thee: therefore leftest thou them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and many times didst thou deliver them according to thy mercies;
29And testifiedst against them, that thou mightest bring them again unto thy law: yet they dealt proudly, and hearkened not unto thy commandments, but sinned against thy judgments, (which if a man do, he shall live in them and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.
30Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hand of the people of the lands. 31Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God.
32aNow therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people.."
