One of my favorite parts of the Christmas season is singing the carols! I'm sure you have your own favorite carols as I do. While some of carols invite us into parts of the story of Christmas, there are others that emphasize the character of Christ par excellence. At the top of my favorite carols is âHark! The Herald Angels Singâ by Charles Wesley and Felix Mendelsshohn. The titles for Christ are liberally expressed throughout the lines: King, Christ, Everlasting Lord, Incarnate Deity, Prince of Peace, and Son of Righteousness! As you slow down and meditate on each one of these ascriptions, the significance of what is involved in Christ's incarnation takes on a deeper, richer significance. The carol resounds with the heart of the Gospel: âGod and sinners reconciled!â The coming of Christ initiated God revealing Himself in human flesh, rescuing rebels and restoring all things! May your Christmas be full of remembrance of the One who was âborn to raise the sons of earth, born to give them second birth!â
We love to share feedback that we hear from our broadcasters about how the Lord continues to bless our efforts in covering the globe with God-glorifying preaching. Here are few comments we have heard.
But first, some other encouragements!
At our Christmas dinner, the entire SA staff raised this money specifically for the Fontan Blood Pump as their Christmas gift to us. We were touched as we have three young children with serious heart defects and they could benefit from such a pump.
Below is some of the feedback from broadcasters we've received just this past week. We encourage you to contact them and tell them that you saw them here!
Rev. Ken Burkett, Ph.D., Greenville Bible Church www.sermonaudio.com/gbc-ms"Our partnership with SermonAudio is helpful in three ways. It allows our members who miss an occasional sermon for some reason to catch up during the week and stay up to date with the preaching. Our members especially appreciate this feature when I am preaching through a series. Secondly, when people have to move away from our area, they often keep connected with us by listening to the messages each week until they are able to find a solid ministry that will become their new church home. Several people have commented how helpful this has been to them during their transition period. Thirdly, we have had several visitors over the years, some who have joined our church, who found our church through SermonAudio. SermonAudio is an affordable way for small ministries to reach beyond their own congregation. Itâs been a blessing to receive and occasional email or a phone call from someone who has listened to our sermons and wanted to ask questions about it or seek counsel. Thank you for all you do."
David L. McIntosh, Jr., Hartsville Presbyterian Church www.sermonaudio.com/hartsvillepca"We have been pleasantly surprised how effective SermonAudio has been in our outreach. When we planted the church, we used radio initially as means to let people know about our work. Eventually we transitioned to SermonAudio and have been very pleased with our partnership. We may never know how it is being accessed in the digital world, but we have had one interesting story. About two months ago a gentleman walked into our church. As I spoke with him, he told me he was moving to the area after working for some time in South Korea. He said, âMy pastor listens to you on SermonAudio and he told me that I had to come to your church when I moved here to Hartsville.â What a surprise! We are very grateful for the opportunity to extend our ministry through SermonAudio because we believe faith comes by hearing the Word of God!"
Reverend Daniel Dillard, Grace Reformed Presbyterian www.sermonaudio.com/gracereformedbend"What a great service you offer! It is very accessible to everyone! You have a tremendous resource available at your site! What a great gift you have given to churches to be able to make Bible-centered, Christ-honoring preaching available to people everywhere! Itâs incredible that we can have access to thousands of Bible expositors on this site. I use it myself to listen to pastors and Bible teachers that I really appreciate and who minister to me. We also appreciate the monthly reports which are so encouraging and helpful to us! We are entirely satisfied with your service!"
Pastor Joshua Holden, Heady Mountain Baptist Church www.sermonaudio.com/hmbc1611"SermonAudio has been such an encouragement to me as a pastor and to our church! We are a small church with only about 30 people on a Sunday but itâs amazing how many people we reach abroad through your site. The process of editing and uploading our messages each week is very easy. We are excited to post our 100th sermon in just 7 months with you all. The price we pay to be able to put that much gospel out there to so many people is worth every penny each month. I recommend it to every pastor who is trying to get the Word out. I love that I can listen to sister churches and other other men I respect and admire on your site. As a pastor, I need my soul feed as well so I am on the site several times a day. I enjoy listening to some of my friends from my Bible school years who are on the site. I recommend the site to every pastor I know who is trying to get the Word out. I knew about the site for several years and prayed about signing up for awhile but couldnât afford it. However, when you ran the $1 sale and then took the limit off the number of sermons a church can upload a month, I took that as a direct answer to my prayers. I also love the ability to upload pdfs to the site and we use the business cards you provide to let people know about our church and your site. Thank you for all you are doing! What a blessing!"
We would encourage you to read through more testimonials we've received over the years from both listeners and broadcasters alike.
