Russell Moore, Kay Warren Criticize Christians Defending Roy Moore
Evangelical leaders, including Russell Moore, Kay Warren, and Beth Moore, have criticized Christians who continue to defend Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore despite allegations that he sexually assaulted teenage girls while in his early 30s.

Moore, president of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, condemned those who have used the example of Mary and Joseph in the Bible as a means to defend relationships between adults and teenagers

"My blood pressure has been elevated in recent days with people suggesting that even when such horrible things take place that it's the equivalent of Mary and Joseph -- no, it's not," Moore, who is not related to Roy Moore, said during an appearance on Anderson Cooper 360. "Or, as I heard one person say on television, I believe it was yesterday, that this would be a misdemeanor, so it would be the equivalent of stealing a ...

Rush Limbaugh said. “But what’s really driving this – do not doubt me about this. But what’s really driving this is Mitch McConnell saying to Steve Bannon, ‘Really? You think you’re going to get your guys elected? You think you are going to get your guys elected and me kicked out of here? Really? Seriously? OK, watch this.’”

“Don’t forget, Judge Moore is – Trump did not endorse him, but Steve Bannon, I don’t know – endorsed, chose, go behind, supports, what have you,” he continued. “And Bannon has been very upfront about the objective he has, and that’s to get Mitch McConnell out of the Senate. And so I don’t think – even if all we had was one allegation against Judge Moore, this was going to be it for Judge Moore. It didn’t matter because this is now being used to send a message to Bannon and his group that you just – you think you’re going to get rid of me, well take a look at what’s going to happen every time you try. So that clearly is a factor here"

Rush's perspicacity seen in the fact that they remained silent about the concurrent sexual misconduct allegations surrounding liberal Republican George H. W. Bush

one marcher told the Birmingham News, “Every stand I’ve ever seen him (Moore) take in these 15 years has been clearly based on God’s word and God’s law.”

If so, you’d expect that when allegations surfaced of Moore sexually preying on girls as young as 14 when he was district attorney, such supporters would be up in arms. But not Zeigler. He used the Biblical story of Joseph and Mary in Moore’s defense, suggesting if the allegations were true, well, “Mary was a teenager and Joseph was an adult carpenter.”

That was too much for evangelist commentator Ed Stetzer, who wrote in Christianity Today, “If this is evangelicalism, I’m on the wrong team. But it is not. Christians don’t use Joseph and Mary to explain child molesting accusations.”

Oh this was from a link in the article, Why evangelicals might vote for Roy Moore, despite sexual abuse allegations

Did Aleem Maqboob by any chance mention that America did not become "the richest country in the world" by being socialist? Or did that escape his notice, as it so evidently has Jim Link-In's?

Apparently rollicking Roy didn't even have the decency (?) to make any of these girls his child bride?
Franz Strasser wrote:
Angel was 13 when her mother forced her to marry and start a family. "I felt like a slave," she says of her childhood.

While countries like Zimbabwe, Malawi and El Salvador have recently banned child marriage, it remains legal in the US - and half of states have no set minimum age below which you cannot get married.

For the BBC's America First? series the BBC's Aleem Maqbool is exploring health and social issues where the US, the richest country in the world, does not perform well in international rankings.

Judge Moore: Well, Pastor, what people don't understand about this matter, is that when you can be called a hero for just doing your job, well, we are in a sad state of affairs because that is what all officials are supposed to be doing. Judges that are elected, sworn to uphold the Constitution of their state and the Constitution of the United States. There is nothing in the Constitution of the United States forbidding a monument, it is not about the Ten Commandments. It was about the acknowledgement of a sovereign God. And there is nothing in the Constitution whatsoever that forbids that, in fact, the first amendment to the Constitution; "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of a religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...", would not exist without the acknowledgement of the sovereignty of the Judeo Christian God, which gave to us freedom of conscience, and government was precluded from interfering with it. Now through manipulation of words and fraudulent tests, it has nothing to do with the First Amendment, we simply distorted the law. And it is not law, it is simply bad precedent. And what we should do is go back to the Constitution &recognize the sovereignty of God

Oops, sorry about including the previous message.

Nice about case histories, I.E., there are usually the exceptions that prove the rule.

Blue States are doing better than Red States. I would think the article would mean they're doing better without the aid of abortion also. But one wonders how much mothers even teach about the birds and the bees Ultra-conservative families? Perhaps they don't even care about it?

Jiminy Clickit sucks his thumb and takes baths with a rubber ducky. Someone said so, and it was mentioned in an article online, so it MUST be true. I'm not saying Roy Moore is innocent. I'm just saying that the American way is to presume that he is innocent until proven guilty, and not the other way around. By the way Jim, what proof do you have that the allegations against you are not true? Then by your own standard, you are guilty.

To his supporters, Moore’s defiance of the federal courts on issues of church and state and on gay marriage were acts of principled civil disobedience, not dangerous threats to the very notion of legality. In contrast, no one really thinks it’s OK for a 32-year-old man to make sexual advances on a 14-year-old girl. That includes evangelical voters, notwithstanding lame attempts to invoke religion in Moore’s defense.

"Left Behinders"🙈
- common religious viewpoint which might be described as ‘left wing’ is social justice, or care for the poor and the oppressed. Supporters of this might encourage universal health care, welfare provision, subsidized education, foreign aid, and Affirmative Action for improving the conditions of the disadvantaged. Stemming from egalitarian values (and what Jesus Himself said), adherents of the Christian left consider it part of their religious duty to take actions on behalf of the oppressed.

The Christian Left holds that social justice, renunciation of power, humility, forgiveness, and private observation of prayer (as opposed to publicly mandated prayer), are mandated by the Gospel (Matthew 6:5-6). The Bible contains accounts of Jesus repeatedly advocating for the poor and outcast over the wealthy, powerful, and religious. The Christian Left maintains that such a stance is relevant and important. Adhering to the standard of “turning the other cheek,” which they believe supersedes the Old Testament law of “an eye for an eye,” the Christian Left often hearkens towards pacifism ..

1Ki2:8So she wrote letters in Ahab's name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, dwelling with Naboth.
9And she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people:
10And set two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear witness against him, saying, Thou didst blaspheme God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die.
11And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who were the inhabitants in his city,
did as Jezebel had sent unto them, and as it was written in the letters which she had sent unto them.
12They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people.13And there came in two men,
children of Belial,
and sat before him: and the men of Belial witnessed against him,
even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying,
Naboth did blaspheme God and the king.
Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died.
14Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth is stoned, and is dead.

- In Reconstructionism, the main thrust shifts from the salvaging of lost souls in a doomed society to the reconstruction of a Christian world. The Great Commission is thus either lowered to the status of a co-equal with the cultural mandate or merged with it, confusing its real identity. "Christian" Reconstructionism is a religious kin to the "two" gospel theory (spiritual gospel/social gospel) promoted by new-evangelicals [ http://tinyurl.com/y8g2ux3 ], and has links to the secular gospel (social gospel) promulgated by the religious apostates. [God's mandate for believers in this age, however, is not the restoration of cultural dominion over the earth, but the carrying out of the Great Commission. The Scriptures predict great spiritual and moral decline, not the reverse, for the "latter days" and "last times" of this dispensation (I Timothy 4:1-2, II Timothy 3:1-6). The Biblical course of action is the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) (Sep-Oct '93, Fundamentalist Digest).]
