Australians Vote in Favor of Same-Sex ‘Marriage’ in Nationwide Postal Survey
Australia is set to legalize same-sex marriage before the end of the year after voters emphatically backed the move in a nationwide survey.

“We must respect the voice of the people,” Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said in Canberra on Wednesday after the country’s statistics office revealed 61.6 percent of respondents support marriage equality, with 38.4 percent opposed. “It is unequivocal. It is overwhelming.”

Romans 1:21-25
For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. ---ESV

Australians had overwhelmingly endorsed legalising same-sex marriage in a postal survey.

“What a moment for the country,” said Christine Forster, a Sydney councillor and the sister of former Prime Minister Tony Abbott, standing among throngs of rainbow-clad campaigners for a “Yes” vote, outside parliament with her female partner.

She said she planned to go to her brother’s house to celebrate.

Yes Dave, I've got his news letters for years and we went to Hervey Bay once so we could visit his Church. One of the few proper Pastors left. Sometimes I wish I lived in Hervey Bay. Now that Church was full of real Christians!

Dave is right. Our blessings will be removed. New Zealand has fallen quickly. First it was "Civil Union's" for legal reasons. Then they redefined marriage (while a conservative govt was in power). Now they've removed Jesus name from the pray in parliament. They want God out completely and he will take their blessings.
Australia is following suit.
They have no idea what they're doing because they won't hear us out. We get shouted down before we can speak so they make up their own morality....

Anything goes Aussie?

But the context of U.S. leadership makes this part of general decline
From some other items I was reading this PM just today-

Rep. Barbara Comstock: Member of Congress Exposed Himself to a Staffer
Rep. Barbara Comstock (R-Va.) told a congressional hearing on Tuesday that a sitting member of Congress exposed himself to a young female staffer who delivered papers to his house -- at his request.

Rep. Speier: Two Sitting Members of Congress Have Engaged in Sexual Harassment:
Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.), testifying at a congressional hearing Tuesday, said two sitting members of Congress are sexual harassers, but she did not name them

this with the last few decades' reminder from the Moore ugliness

( his stuff compared to Ted Kennedy , Clinton, etc ad nauseum)
No wonder a pornified , adulterous ,screen mesmerized West says that there are no limits.

Next thing will be pushing to get the One World low standards down to China & Phillipines 14 year old & then the Iranian vision of 9 year olds.

Toss Lev 18:20 adultery
Then 18:21 abortion
Then 18:22 abomination
¡ going to the dogs!toss 18:23 by mail poll?
As Dave notes- next? in danger that the land spue out a corrupt defiled demographic

61.6%... in favor. I really thought (wrongly) that it would have been completely the opposite. I guess a big chunk of the voters were those with 4 yr degrees.

I don't know if evangelicals actually stayed home. I believe what happened there is happening all over the world and it involves millennials. A huge chunk of them are apostate children of evangelicals. The motto "As for me my house" is no longer emphasized, thus we have a generation who don't know Jesus like those generations of Israelites after Moses and Joshua who did not know the LORD. We know how it ended at the end of Judges with the civil war which began with the perverse actions of a Levite in the territory of Benjamin (Judges 19-21). Today, will it be revival or revenge at the hand of the LORD.

innovation, did not get out and vote, that every true evangelical church did not mobilise its membership to oppose this measure, and that it was left to the apostate churches and secular activists to organise their folks, which I am sure, tragically, they did very effectively.

Australia has now gone down the same route as Britain, USA, and many places in Europe, South Africa, Argentina, and many other Western countries.

Islam, and Muslims will of course be totally exempt from these requirements, and the LGBT crowd know better than to try to force their agenda on the Muslims!!!

Tragically, Australia will soon join the club of countries where this perversion is legalised, Christians will be persecuted, and as I understand it, (perhaps Dave from Oz may know differently, but I doubt if he has heard anything different), the conniving Australian Government has deliberately as a matter of policy left out any provision of religious freedom of conscience for Christians opposed to thus, so there will no doubt be a rash of civil and criminal discrimination cases against them, for refusing to provide cakes, flowers, photographs, use of their wedding facilities etc, for such "unions", people in public and even private jobs being sacked or disciplined for opposing "gay marriage" on their private websites and social media, Christian bed and breakfasts and small family run private hotels prosecuted for not allowing "gay" couples to share a room, and so on.

Adoption agencies will be forced to adopt out and foster out children to homosexual and lesbian couples, even Christian agencies, and will be prosecuted or put out of business if they refuse.

Despite any false political promises to the contrary, even Christian evangelical ministers will be forced to conduct "gay weddings" or be prosecuted.

How tragic that every Australian who did not support this wicked i

One can sink the Catholic and the rest of the non- Christian vote for passing this obscenity. Something that American evangelicals should take note of.

Thirty years ago this year I had the pleasure of being hosted by an Australian family of Christians for Christmas. I will never forget their hospitality for the rest of my life. In spite of this horrific storm that has also overtaken their nation, my prayer will remain that they stand strong as bright lights, reflecting the glory of God, in an ever darkening world. And may their testimony be used of the Lord to call more people to Himself.
