Sex diseases in US surge to record high
Sexually transmitted diseases surged to a record high in the United States last year, with more than two million cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis nationwide, officials said Tuesday.

This was "the highest number ever," said the annual Sexually Transmitted Disease Surveillance Report released today by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Most of the new cases -- 1.6 million in 2016 -- involved chlamydia, a bacterial infection that affects both men and women.

Really john??..........Jesus forgives sin, but we still have consequences to deal with... Remarriage is always sin unless your partner is dead. S
When one becomes a Christian then Jesus forgives all of their sins from the past, present and future. And that includes divorce and remarriage that took place before one became a Christian. However divorce and remarriage is prohibited once one becomes a Christian. And I made a mistake. That man from that Baptist Church I attend on Sunday mornings is not an Elder but is a Deacon.

Interesting comment on a couple of things, John. Correct on Hugh Hefner, in fact I believe Huey was a son of a pastor, it didn't seem to make an impression on him then.
Hmm, your elder is in an iffy position, It's great to show a person can be forgiven, it would be impossible for him to be an elder/pastor if this divorce happened after he became a Christian

S*x diseases...yuck. of course, there are many to choose from, including little critters that infest...triple yuck, but the article immediately made me think of the AIDS epidemic, which, thanks to this politically correct atmosphere, you'd think it was a thing of the past. Sodomy and this transgender nonsense is being condoned, encouraged, and even celebrated, but we never hwar a peep anymore concerning the almost certain death at some point, and a horrible one at that. Reminded me of the primary care physician who warned his patient that his lifestyle could kill him, should he contract the virus. The patient was offended and upset that the doctor put this fear into his head, complained to the hospital, and the hospital put the doctor on notice for causing emotional trauma to the patient. Crazy days.

Some Think King David had a std, ¿syphilis?
Here are just some of the Scriptures that indicate that-
Psalms 38:5-7My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.
I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.
For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.11 My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.

His enemies sought his life in his terminal, Syphilis condition?

Ps38:12 They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.
Ps41:5-8 Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?
And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.
An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more."
Gill& Henry see more figurative reading- but Both takes are possible as language portrays our "wounds" manifest in the flesh with a stink that illustrates Loathsome repurcussions.

Many paying price of listening to profligates-a slow "wasting" death

Well, fortunately, he will get his wish and spend all eternity with the filth he represented. Unfortunately, for him, it will be in hell, being tormented by an angry God.

The Biggest Loser: Marriage

Long before the term gay marriage was coined, traditional marriage was faltering. Of the sexual revolution’s fallout, marriage—God’s first institution, society’s building block and a living metaphor for the Gospel union of Christ and the church—got the worst of it.

In the 1970s, divorce rates rose steeply—fueled by greater acceptance of adultery and the passage of no-fault divorce laws. [Thank Hugh Hefner! ] Eventually, the divorce culture hit the church, much like it did the wider culture.

“If the people sitting in the pews are fornicators and adulterers, the church will destroy marriages much more quickly than those outside the church,” actor and Christian apologist Kirk Cameron told The Birmingham News in an interview last year.

As [Cal] Thomas noted: “Throughout history a stable, two-parent home has been essential for stabilizing societies and rearing children in ways that promote their own stability. The damage caused to heterosexual marriage, from without by same-sex ‘marriage’ as well as within from divorce and cohabitation, is partly responsible for the societal chaos we now face.”

This is the horrible consequence of the diabolical lies of self-identity and transgender politics. The end game is fornication with any one and every one of any gender and age. The young people in colleges, universities, high schools, and sadly in elementary schools who are taught to deny their natural God-given sexual identities are reaping the whirlwind. Society and government are demanding that everyone celebrate and encourage their delusion.

These dramatic increases happened in one year! This means that if society doesn't come to its senses then every corner of American culture will be physically and psychological infected without remedy. I fear that something worse than HIV is lurking in the shadows.

It reminds me of the plagues that God visited upon the heathen who despised His holiness:

1 Samuel 6:5-6 KJV  Wherefore ye shall make images of your emerods, and images of your mice that mar the land; and ye shall give glory unto the God of Israel: peradventure he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land.  (6)  Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? when he had wrought wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed?

Hebrews 13:4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

Romans 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

God has told us throughout scripture to save sex until marriage and then to be faithful to your spouse and marriage should only be with the opposite sex. Our society ridicules that thought and sexually transmitted diseases are simply the fruit of that behavior. It is getting worse, because our morals are becoming worse.

Come quickly Lord Jesus, come quickly!

"Most cases of syphilis occur among men -- mainly gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men."

Really? This report is from a federal agency, but the participants in self-destruction say their lifestyle is nobody's business but their own. Bet they want government to take care of it, though.

Ps38:4For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me. 5My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness. 6I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long. 7For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh. 8I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart. 9Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee. 10My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.
--
Gal 6:5For every man shall bear his own burden. 6Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. 7Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
