Evangelicals reveal 'unprecedented' levels of access in Trump White House

Evangelicals have 'unprecedented' levels of influence and access into Donald Trump's White House, meeting foreign ambassadors and influencing high-level decisions from choosing senior personnel to consulting on policy, one adviser is claiming.

Amid ongoing criticism about Christians leaders' reluctance to denounce Trump after his handling of the Charlottesville tragedy, Johnnie Moore, a senior member of the president's evangelical advisory council, told Christian Today they have a duty to stick with him. ...

Sorry, I cannot reproduce the whole article. It's a rather long one--PolitiFact, but still plenty short---http://tinyurl.com/y9hov9xl (A look at the data on domestic terrorism and who’s behind it).

If memory serves it doesn't include the bombing in Oklahoma city either. So Muslim terrorism move and the numbers game ahead with the Orlando bar killings.

There is nothing miniscule about the number of killings by white terrorists.

Politifact? The usual sleight of hand, Jim? "since 9/11" means we don't count that date. Never mind that 3000 dead. Doesn't fit the promo. The real evidence is jihadists kill way more people, period. White supremacists can only dream of such.

As for New America, formerly known as the New America Foundation, it is Soros and Gates funded, and anti-Israel. Nice promotion.

Until the Orlando nightclub shooting, "the number of deaths caused by far-right-wing attacks outnumbered those caused by jihadism-related attacks," Ford said.

It's really a pity that President Trump no longer has the benefit of any Christian council, they all quit or their councils disbanded.

Of course I'm talking about the businessmen, not the apparent racist "evangelicals" who traipsing in and out the White House,

When you look at these from an earlier message, http://tinyurl.com/h9w3v3k (Who’s Who of Trump’s ‘Tremendous’ Faith Advisers) one is hard-pressed to find a Christian among them.

One would hope that people who have access to the President are passing along what Russell Moore is saying.
You would think Mr. Moore would be as concerned about Islamic supremacy, or black supremacy, or any supremacy, as he is about white supremacy. Especially as the white supremacists are a miniscule lot compared to others. But some people feel guilty because they are white. Too bad, it makes them as racist as much as those they decry, regardless of how they couch it in Christianese.

Phil Johnson wrote:
...America's moral decline has accelerated dramatically since evangelicals became politically aggressive in the late 1970s....

Worst of all, during that same period of time, the evangelical movement has completely lost its spiritual influence, because the evangelical segment of the church has grown increasingly worldly. Evangelicals have become accustomed to compromise. They have abandoned (or else are in the process of abandoning) virtually all the doctrinal distinctives that made them distinct from Roman Catholics and nominal Christians whose faith amounts to a kind of civil religion. Evangelicals have pretty much forfeited whatever real moral and spiritual authority their movement ever had.

excerpt from http://tinyurl.com/hbtgqek (Politically Incorrect?)

It would be great if some of these so-called religious advisors passed along some of the comments of Dr. Moore in my previous message. I have a feeling this won't happen since Phil Johnson has had a good handle on the evangical political activity for some years now and he put it quite accurately in his commentary.

Dr. Russell Moore wrote:
This is important for us right now because many of those advocating for white supremacy claim to do so in the name of Jesus Christ. Some of them speak of “Christendom” — by which they mean white European cultural domination — and not of Christianity. But many others are members of churches bearing the name of Jesus Christ. Nothing could be further from the gospel....

“Blood and soil” ethnic nationalism is not just a deviant social movement. It is the same old idolatry of the flesh, the human being seeking to deify his own flesh and blood as God. The Scripture defines this attempt at human self-exaltation with a number: 666. White supremacy does not merely attack our society (though it does) and the ideals of our nation (though it does); white supremacy attacks the image of Jesus Christ himself. White supremacy exalts the creature over the Creator, and the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against it.

the President is under unprecedented [email protected] from a media that is aiding antifa who are [email protected] americans on the streets!

if evangelicals are too cowardly, when invited to speak up and tell the truth, then we are already defeated.

just hand the church keys over to your masters..... for whoever you fear more than God, is your master.

and if that fear binds your mouth to the truth and your heart from clarity and discernment....then that is your master.

the PResident has mentioned overturning Johnson Amendment -- that was the 501c3 corporation status, a trap set by Johnson.

and you could hear crickets.

either megapastors too afraid to admit that their mouths or bound, or too comfortable having their mouths bound.

either way, it seems increasingly difficult to see how the 501c3 pulpit, which is bound to the same antidiscrimination code that antifa pronounces on the streets (ie no gender distinctions, etc) -- to be anything but the false image of the true and living Body of Christ.... that is called to "discriminate" or "discern" between that which is biblical and not.

and so waves of liberalism hit the churches like a tsunami. as long as Russell Moore is directing ethics, he who used to work for the dems.... Baptists are being driven away from scripture.

"Yes, a grotesque waste of my money, and your money, but how quickly people forget Obama's reign of waste when they said...oh, what was it now..oh yeah, now I remember...nothing."

I normally never, ever respond to political comments on social media, but was in a mood yesterday. The above was my response to a thread of people going wild on Trump for his expenditures to date. Needless to say, I became quite popular on both sides. I responded to the hate for a while with some great points, examples of their double standards, and selective blindness, but it went nowhere. I finished with telling them that they all see and hear based solely upon their political views and who they like/dislike. They really are impossible to reason with.

Evangelical type outreach? The Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., has published a new Bible reading plan for Psalms featuring notes from Elvis Presley’s personal Bible. Called “Rockin’ Through the Psalms with the ‘King,’” the plan is designed for the YouVersion Bible app. That’s a great name for a Bible for the “me” generation, and no one represents that generation better than Elvis. As the “king of rock & roll,” he was one of the fathers of the music that has done more to destroy biblical morality in modern society than any other one thing. Journalist David Halberstam observed: “In cultural terms, [Elvis’s] coming was nothing less than the start of a revolution” (The Fifties). Elvis biographer Peter Harry Brown observed, “Elvis Presley didn’t just represent a new type of music; he represented sexual liberation” (Down at the End of Lonely Street) Elvis stood for everything rock & roll stands for: sexual license, rebellion against authority, self-fulfillment, moral debauchery, all glossed over with a thin veneer of humanistic spirituality. In a television interview last week in memory of the 40th anniversary of Elvis’s death, his adultery & drugging was noted.

There is a huge difference between the two. One is pleasing or at least tolerable to the world and the other isn't. One is seeker friendly and will bow to the flow of society and the other will not.

The world can tell the difference even if we can't.

Maybe that'll diminish SHOUTs before the Trump.

The Trump of Doom.
