Pope Francis ‘paving way for Antichrist’

An ultra-conservative university and television network director has fallen out of grace with Colombia’s Catholic church after claiming Pope Francis is a “false prophet” who is “paving the way for the Antichrist.”

The influential but radical Jose Galat, director of the Great Colombia university and Teleamiga television network, almost spewed fire when interviewed by Blu Radio about an impending papal visit to Colombia.

The Colombian Catholic Church had urged all clergies in the country to dissuade worshipers from watching the Teleamiga network after Galat had called the pope a false prophet in his talk show, “A coffee with Galat.” ...

Thanks for posting this up, sister.
Excellent

Hardly a peep from most in these ecumenical times...wouldn't be loving ya know.
Much rather babble on about politics, commies, Disney movies, trannies, yada, yada, yada.

I think this news board section has waxed old and is ready to disappear.

Time for a break.
Blessings to you.

Controversy in religion is a hateful thing. It is hard enough to fight the devil, the world and the flesh, without private differences in our own camp. But there is one thing which is even worse than controversy, and that is false doctrine tolerated, allowed, and permitted without protest or molestation. It was controversy that won the battle of Protestant Reformation. If the views that some men hold were correct, it is plain we never ought to have had any Reformation at all! For the sake of peace, we ought to have gone on worshipping the Virgin, and bowing down to images and relics to this very day! Away with such trifling!
It is a plain Scriptural duty to ‘contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints.’ (Jude 3) “I am quite aware that the things I have said are exceedingly distasteful to many minds. I believe many are content with teaching which is not the whole truth, and fancy it will be ‘all the same’ in the end.
Three things there are which men never ought to trifle with, – a little poison, a little false doctrine, and a little sin.” J.C. Ryle

John Yurich, if you were on your deathbed, not wishing that, would you call for your local priest or Pastor Steve?
I would call for Pastor Steve.

NeedHim, I never stated that the Protestant Reformers were in agreement with the Catholic Church. I stated that they believed that the Catholic Church worships the biblical and historical Jesus as God. I have a lady friend at that Baptist Church I attend on Sunday mornings and she stated that her Catholic Father who passed away last December had surrendered his life to Jesus on his death bed. She believes that he is in Heaven. She also stated that she believes that the Catholic Church worships the biblical and historical Jesus as God. If I attend a Baptist Church on Sunday mornings and surrendered my life to Jesus and trust entirely in Him alone for salvation then I am not spiritually deceived. I am accepted by Pastor Steve and all the Elders and Deacons of that Baptist Church as being truly saved because I surrendered my life to Jesus and trust entirely in Him alone for salvation.

John Y; your truths claim statements on the Reformers in being in agreement, with Rome & Jesus, is a claim of great self-deception. Your reference that specifically backs up your claim on the Reformers?

Missing from the Roman Catholic formula for justification is the crucial word "alone." It's n't an exaggeration to say that the eye of the Reformation tornado was this one little word. The Reformers insisted that justification is by grace alone (sola gratia), by faith alone (sola fide), & through Christ alone (soli Christo). —R.C. Sproul - R. C. Sproul

In which Rome says, Athenma
Roman Catholics believe in justification by faith, but not justification by faith alone. They affirm the necessity of Christ but not the sufficiency of Christ to save us to the uttermost.

The Word clearly says that Rome Jesus doesn't know what, Justification is & how His finished works, need no helping hands ever!, amen;

Romans 3:20, 24, 28, 4:3, & 5:1.

I'll just say this:

John, have you heard of circular reasoning? You might not realize it, but you're stuck in a loop that you're either unable or unwilling to break free from. Often, pure facts mentioned concerning what Rome teaches are denied by you, and one of the reasons for denial is because your parents never taught you this or that. You're also very dependant upon Romans 10:9, John 3:16, and the opinions of others, rather than what a thorough study of God's Word will open up to you.
God despises what Rome teaches, but I get the feeling that you're often unaware of what they teach as you refer to many facts as insanity, and false statements. You may be highly intelligent, as you've said, in some areas, but simple logic isn't one of them. Another problem area is that you seem unable or unwilling to disseminate valid and critical information into your preconceived reality of what's true and false.
Bottomline is that it seems to me that you make a conscious effort to venture to the ends of the earth, looking for bits and pieces; scraps of this and that which serve to sooth your conscience and leave you feeling justified for remaining within such a system.

May Christ be gracious to you John Y, you are clearly spiritually deceived, I am no better than you, just better off than you, in my assurance of salvation & truly understanding in what that means, & how Rome deceives others. That you are still spiritually blinded in seeing that the Jesus of Rome, is incapable of saving & justifying sinner by His own doing alone, to the utter most alone. Clearly speaks volumes, that you don't know Christ in a inmate way, of pouring over the scriptures to rightly devided them, as the Word of God demands one to do, if they truly love Him & are regenerated with the newness of new spiritual life.

In what you say on here, is reflected back by your Defending of Rome, you don't have a new spiritual heart of flesh, you wouldn't willingly justify Rome like you do, if you came out of her, in which you haven't, for you still attend!

I am Facebook friends with Pastor Steve of that Baptist Church I attend on Sunday mornings. And he most likely has seen my life events information on my Facebook page where I state that I am a member of the local Catholic parish. But he has not mentioned anything about it. I am accepted as being truly saved by Pastor Steve and all the Elders and Deacons of that Baptist Church because of the fact that I surrendered my life to Jesus and trust in Him alone for salvation.

You are clueless as to what the new birth is. I cannot fathom why SA lets you come here daily and defend a religion that God hates, and cause division.

I too accept you are saved John Y. its obvious to the Elect. Its a special gift to accept all the brethren in the Church, not everyone can do that.

I only defend the scriptural aspects of the Catholic religion. Pastor Steve of that Baptist Church that I attend on Sunday mornings accepts that I am truly Born Again because I was questioned thoroughly by him when I met with him in April to arrange the Baptism. Pastor asked if I had surrendered my life to Christ and trusted in Him alone for salvation. And when I answered in the affirmative then Pastor was satisfied that I am truly Born Again and was a proper candidate for Baptism in that Baptist Church. All the Elders and Deacons of that Baptist Church also accept that I am truly Born Again. If I was not truly Born Again then I would not have been guided by God to start attending that Baptist Church faithfully every Sunday starting last September considering that I previously stated I would not attend a Baptist Church every Sunday.

Hmm....
Well Pastor Steve accepts that I am really Born Again because I was questioned thoroughly when I met with him in April to arrange the Baptism about if I had surrendered my life to Jesus and trusted in Him alone for salvation. I would have never been presented for Baptism via immersion at that Baptist Church if Pastor Steve was not satisfied that I was really Born Again. I am not a romanist troll if I attend a Baptist Church on Sunday mornings. I would have never started to attend that Baptist Church faithfully every Sunday beginning last September if I had not come under God's guidance to start attending that Baptist Church faithfully every Sunday considering that I previously stated I would never attend a Baptist Church every Sunday.
