Where Have All the Babies Gone?

How's this for a snapshot of the effects of the recession and slugglish recovery on the American family?

In 2011, the United States reached a record-low birth rate. Pew researchers hypothesize that when people don't feel confident about the economy, they don't have children. But it is also possible that women are having fewer children because of larger cultural changes. Researchers expect that when the economy improves, so will the birth rates. But if they don't tick up, the effect could ripple across the decades as there will be proportionally fewer and fewer young people to support an aging population.

While the birth rates have fallen basically across the board, the decreases have hit the poorest states the hardest. According to a Pew report on the matter, "states experiencing the largest economic declines in 2007 and 2008 were most likely to experience relatively large fertility declines ...

Maybe you should read the resolution to see exactly who the SBC calls "alt-right":

"WHEREAS, Racism and white supremacy are, sadly, not extinct but present all over the world in various white supremacist movements, sometimes known as “white nationalism” or “alt-right”; now, therefore, be it"
RESOLVED, That the messengers to the Southern Baptist Convention, meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, June 13–14, 2017, decry every form of racism, including alt-right white supremacy, as antithetical to the Gospel of Jesus Christ; and be it further
RESOLVED, That we denounce and repudiate white supremacy and every form of racial and ethnic hatred as of the devil; and be it further
RESOLVED, That we acknowledge that we still must make progress in rooting out any remaining forms of intentional or unintentional racism in our midst..."

Out of space, but you get the gist.

You could be right, that might be a concern to Christians who worry about what lost people think of them.

A couple of Headline Quotes:-

"The typical working-age household saw an income decline of $2,700 from 2007 to 2009. Furthermore, given that this recession came on the heels of one of the worst business cycles (2000-07) on record in terms of job creation, the typical working-age household brought in roughly $5,000 less in 2009 than it did in the year 2000."

"Half a century after President Lyndon B. Johnson declared a war on poverty, the number of Americans living in slums is rising at an extraordinary pace.

The number of people living in high-poverty areas—defined as census tracts where 40 percent or more of families have income levels below the federal poverty threshold—nearly doubled between 2000 and 2013, to 13.8 million from 7.2 million,"

= Poor people cannot afford families in America.
Especially the cost of medical care being what it is.

personally I have to laugh when I see Jim L post proverbs about the wise avoiding talking to fools. I have thought often of these scriptures when I see his posts... course the reason to respond would be to cover over the deception.

Title: Amish man slapped with six-year prison sentence for growing and selling his own herbal remedies

have any considered here how this works? if multiple people are cured of cancer, for instance, the people who are selling the product cannot share that information with the consumer. many products that are working lose out because they cannot relay what it does. God has left us with much, our forebearers called Him Providence.

Fighting for the poor and weak like the unborn is very worthwhile and important. I wouldn't waste time talking to JimL though.

Yes, I waste too much time at times with J. Lincoln. However, I don't consider it a waste of time or arguing when it comes to defending the lives of the unborn. As for politics, arguing over that is pointless isn't it?

As the Apostle said...
Rom 7:18  For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Rom 7:19  For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Rom 7:20  Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:24  O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Rom 7:25  I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Thank you for reminding me country boy. In the future, I will refrain from commenting on Lincoln's drivel, the exception being the slaughter of babies.

the poor who want jobs and to revitalize the "middle class" instead of money pulling to a few elite who control fake news while the people on mainstreet face sterility and the autistic generations... while the SBC calls them the "altright" and passes resolutions to condemn them after being called deplorables by Hillary after their organization kept something like 95% of money given to help Haiti recover from the hurricane, and the lady went to investigatethe child trafficking there in Haiti never made it back alive to states.

this is what this generation is up against.

might as well blame the Russians.

meanwhile SBC funds to bring in mosques to city that rejected the mosque by vote in New Jersey?

if we are to genocide the west, there has to be a replacement demographic after all...

Pr29:7"The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.

8 Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath.
9 If a wise man contendeth with a foolish
whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.
10 The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.
11 A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards."

Sanger-Targeted the poor-which is PP plan- note lack of kids in poor areas- eugenics, which means well born, was coined in 1883 by Sir Francis Galton, a cousin of Charles Darwin. Positive eugenics was a movement that attempted to “improve” the human population by encouraging “fit” people to reproduce. Negative eugenics, conversely, attempted to “improve” the human population by discouraging “unfit” people from reproducing. The “unfit” people included the poor, the sick, the disabled, and the “feeble-minded,” the “idiots,” the “morons,” and the “insane.” And “discouragement” from reproducing included the use of force.

And you cannot cover up the fact that you come here to push your liberal agenda and deliberately go down rabbit trails and use your diversion tactic. . You quote a verse here and there, now and then, albeit out of context because you are void of the Spirit and new birth. You exalt yourself by thinking you are the 'wise man', then call me a fool, when the fact is you are the fool. Blinded by your own love of politics, which is your god, and thinking your roman road will lead you to heaven. Disguising yourself as something you aren't, then belittling those who expose you for what you are.

Who is the real fool? The one who thinks they are saved.....
