Often as I speak with pastors who broadcast on SermonAudio, they tell me that they are praying for this ministry and for those who work hard to make it possible. I am so humbled when I hear such words. Recently a friend texted me simply to say, ‚ÄúPraying for you, my brother!‚ÄĚ Simple, but impacting! Often the letters of the apostle Paul begin with a reminder that he and others faithfully were praying for the recipients of the letter. Paul implored others, ‚ÄúBrethren, pray for us‚ÄĚ (1 Thessalonians 5:25).
Pastor Joel Beeke describes a prayer-less person as ‚Äúungrateful, because he doesn‚Äôt thank God. He‚Äôs self-righteous because he doesn‚Äôt confess his sin. He‚Äôs self-centered because he doesn‚Äôt ask God to bless other people.‚ÄĚ
Indeed it is a great blessing to have others pray for you and it is a great privilege to pray for others. We ask you to join us in praying for those broadcasters who sermons impact your life. Pray for them that they may bold in their proclamation of God’s Word. Here’s some of the feedback broadcasters have shared with us recently.
SermonAudio is proud to be a partner with FAME as we co-produce a weekly 'audio journal podcast' called Five Minutes of FAME taken from a first-person perspective.
But first, some other encouragements!
A listener on the site wrote in with this encouraging feedback: "Thanks for having such a great site. I have really enjoyed Harvest Baptist Church in Orland, California. I live in Lehigh Acres, Florida and I love the way I can search for churches and topics. I am totally blind and have been since birth. I love hearing from churches and other ministries."
The following photo was sent to us by a missionary in Mexico of a prisoner (in a hospital bed) reading one of our Gospel of John booklets (Spanish Edition). www.sermonaudio.com/goj
Encouraging broadcaster feedback..
Below is some of the feedback from broadcasters we've received just this past week. We encourage you to contact them and tell them that you saw them here!
Dorian Johnson, Worship Leader, Christian Fellowship Church www.sermonaudio.com/cfcnb"Ever since I was introduced to the doctrines of grace approximately 10 years ago during my bus commute while working in NYC, SermonAudio has been an indispensable resource for my spiritual growth and health and my family‚Äôs as well. It was on SermonAudio that I heard Voddie Baucham‚Äôs sermon ‚ÄúThe Centrality of the Home in the Evangelism and Discipleship of the Next Generation‚ÄĚ which was where the ‚Äúrubber hit the road‚ÄĚ for my personal reform in understanding how the sufficiency of Scripture is displayed in the church and in understanding my God-given responsibility to lead my family in worship. It was from the teaching of Dr. Joel Beeke found on SermonAudio that I learned how to conduct family worship as our family life was revolutionized. (One of the personal highlights of the Foundations Conference was my opportunity to personally thank Dr. Beeke for his ministry in this area.) It was through SermonAudio‚Äôs Church Finder tool that we were able to find our church, Christian Fellowship Church in North Brunswick, NJ, as we transitioned from our old church. And it is this same Church Finder tool that helps us to find sound churches when we travel to different parts of the country.
Finally, SermonAudio continues to be a source of encouragement to me as well as a resource in assisting in Sunday School lesson and sermon preparations through the search function that allows sermon searches by the Bible. Thank you and the rest of the team for all of your work which is indeed edifying to the body of Christ and glorifying to God."
Denis Lyle, Lurgan Baptist Church www.sermonaudio.com/lurganbaptist"SermonAudio has been a going very well for our church. It is a big benefit to us as people from our church and around the world can listen to or watch our service. We have people from all around the world contact us as a result of our presence on the site. I am soon to retire from pastoring the church but our church will continue to broadcast on the site. Every blessing to you!"
Ken Jones, Glendale Missionary Baptist Church www.sermonaudio.com/glendalembc"We appreciate SermonAudio as an avenue for our people and others who know us to be able to quickly and easily access our sermons. I like the way the site is organized. Our people love the Word of God, and we pray that those who love the Word of God going forth in a way that honors Christ will use this site frequently!"
Paul Gibson, Knox Church Perth www.sermonaudio.com/knoxchurchperth"If John Piper is right that the purpose of Facebook is to prove on judgement day that our prayerlessness was not due to a lack of time, then the purpose of SermonAudio will prove that a lack of faith in Christ was not because there wasn’t the opportunity to hear the gospel. It is a gigantic electronic library containing solid reformed sermons on every subject and book of the bible, accessible at any time from virtually anywhere.
As a church we have used sermon audio for about four years and it has allowed us to proclaim God’s word to to more than 30 countries where we would otherwise have no access. During this period we’ve experienced over 30,000 downloads - some by members of our church wanting to listen for a second time, or because they missed a service, and many by people who we may never meet this side of eternity. It is a great encouragement to know that long after a sermon was first preached, there may be just one person in some remote corner of the world who is brought to faith or helped in some way, because they have stumbled upon SermonAudio.
We live in a day where there is much error and falsehood in the name of Christianity and so it is all the more powerful to be able to direct people to a site like SermonAudio, where we can be confident that its editors will not allow an erroneous message to go unchecked.
We have found the site very easy to upload to and navigate and would highly recommend it to all Gospel-centred, Bible-honouring, reformed churches throughout the world.‚ÄĚ"
We would encourage you to read through more testimonials we've received over the years from both listeners and broadcasters alike.
