Franklin Graham, Russell Moore Deportation of Iraqi Christians: 'It's a Death Sentence'

Franklin Graham says he finds it "very disturbing" that immigration authorities have arrested many Iraqi Christians for possible deportation and urged President Donald Trump to give "great consideration to the threat to lives of Christians in countries like Iraq."

Graham is not the only Christian leader to condemn the arrests; Russell Moore, president of the Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, tweeted: "This is wrong, wrong, wrong. A death sentence for those we should be protecting."

The Washington Post notes that the arrests came after a deal the United States made with Iraq, which sought to be removed from Trump's travel ban on seven Muslim-majority countries and agreed to accept deported Iraqis. ...

It is high time that the pastors preached this faithfully, and the Christian ladies returned to this Biblical mandate.
Yes, amen Chris GP. And the symbolism must also be understood and accepted, otherwise the wearing of a covering becomes a hypocritical act. But when a woman plays her role of submission, and wears a head covering to signify that, it becomes a most beautiful thing in which God is well pleased.

1. Significant

2. The rise of feminism coincides with the abandoning of a practice denoting identity and adherence to biblical principle and gender role

3. It is very sad to hear often here at SA some 'solid' Evangelical preachers of great renown acceptance, that when preaching through I Corinthians 11 they twist meaning skirting around the issue in an accommodating mode,
to avoid disturbing the modern-minded audience occupying their pews

It leads to very odd decisions by the British Home Office, as also by Obama's US administration, where 3 Syrian Orthodox archbishops and bishops from Syria and Iraq, were denied visas to come to the consecration of their new expatriate cathedral in North West London, but radical Islamic preachers are allowed in, supported by public welfare, and allowed to set up their whole infrastructure with multiple wives, many children and extended families, while the idiotic "multiculturalists" and liberals practice abortion, contraception and euthanasia!!!

As to head coverings for women during worship, I do believe that the Evangelical Protestant churches should

1stly, while it is true that Latin Roman Catholic, Eastern Catholic, (several groups who generally use Eastern Orthodox liturgy, appoint their own bishops, but are under Rome), Chaldeans, and Eastern Orthodox have wrong theology, and are not Christians in the Biblical sense, though there may be some individuals, who have come to saving faith, but not yet left these churches, they are still regarded as Christians and "Crusaders" by ISIS, Al Qaeda, Taliban and so on, and are subject in their countries to the rigours of Sharia Law.

2bd, amongst all these Catholic and Orthodox churches, there are some small Evangelical Protestant Churches, and these again have great persecution and are subject to Sharia Law.

3rdly, and most scandalously, the Liberal Secular Humanist governments of the West, aided by the cabal of liberal Bible denying mainstream "Protestant", "Catholic" and other "churchmen" and clergy to make an unholy politically correct alliance with Islam, to keep these embarrassing "Christians" out, who are being persecuted, whether they are saved Christians or not, and let the Islamic immigrants in with their mosques, madrassahs, Sharia Law, and their radical preachers.

The Chaldean religion is no more a Biblcal Christian assembly than it's harlot sister roman catholicism.

The elect of God will come out of these false religions when taught by the Spirit of the Lord.

SteveR, I would recommend the above about head covering. Apparently the Russian Orthodox Church and others of that ilk, ignore the above Bible verses. Were you thinking about the incident below?
read on....The long hair as a headcovering excuse for women falls apart

1 Corinthians 11:6   For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

My church also has fallen victim to that Biblical illiteracy. So now we have a Church full of uncovered women, many with short hair but not shorn.

One thing I learned here on SA, backbiters can influence Church policy. And its clear they have influenced this. But it doesn't mean we men shouldn't respect Mideastern women and their obedience to Biblical mandates...even if the wicked have changed that policy here

I just read another story about a Muslim woman being harassed because of her head covering. Why are these men picking on women with physical intimidation? Newsflash bigots: Christian women from the Mideast wear headcoverings too. Why? Because its Biblical.

Chaldean Christians really have the deck stacked against them in this country. If it isn't their headcoverings, its their skin color, being mistaken for a muslim, some liberal wants to deport them because they are Christian, if not those items then some callous reprobate might not consider them Christian enough to support

they destabilize the east, bring them here and destabilize us.

so no Christians should not be sent back.

but why are they bringing sunni here?

and why is Russell moore aligning himself with legal defense funds that force a city to take a mosque?

has he interviewed arab Chrsitians in America and what they face here as we import the problems there?

would they even trust him?

Graham, Moore, and Trump aren't being Marxist. They just think that these illegals are on a different level than your garden variety illegal. Jews feeling Germany during WW2, or runaway slaves fleeing cruel masters during the Civil War had more than just economic reasons to enter illegally. Chaldean Christians are running out of places to hide in the Mideast

So how did they come to the United States? Who brought them here? Meaning, how did the Chaldean Christians come to US? Was it by legal means If they are here illegally, then , they can be removed. Even if they were smuggled here by a church organization, someone would have hid them in a church basement. Otherwise, they go back home.

Both Graham and Moore Push Marxist doctrine. Christians need to study the entire scripture, before they accept anything these two men say. They always preach race and immigration. In the 1920's the Frankfurt School in Germany developed a number of ideas to advance Marxist Doctrine on the United States. one was the creation of racism offences. Continual change to create confusion. Teach sex and homosexuality. Huge immigration to destroy identity. Study these men and what they push compare it to Gods word.

Hmm, there shouldn't be any rush to deport these people unless they have been convicted of recent crimes.
author of the SA article wrote:
Arabo noted that last year, his foundation was able to convince then-U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to declare that ISIS was committing genocide against Christians and other ancient minority groups in the Middle East.

"I do not understand how anyone could send a Christian to a genocide zone," he said. "Donald Trump has promised to combat ISIS, but what he's doing is emboldening them by sending them Christians to kill. He's giving ISIS exactly what they want."
