Statistics Show for Every Christian Convert in UK, 26 Believers Abandon Their Faith

A new study has found that the United Kingdom's nonreligious population is now bigger than its combined Christian one, with 26 believers abandoning the faith for every atheist or agnostic who decides to become a Christian.

The Benedict XVI Center for Religion and Society, launched by St. Mary's University in Twickenham, released its May study based on data from the latest British Social Attitudes survey and European Social Survey, with key findings revealing the nation's growing secularization.

The researchers noted that 24.3 million people, or 48.6 percent of the British adult population, identified as "nones" in 2015 and they are predominantly young, white and male.

The nones were found to have different faith backgrounds — 38 percent of people who now say they have no religion were brought up as nones, while 25 percent were brought up as Anglicans, 25 percent as Other Christians, and 11 ...

Luke 13:24-30
Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. When once the master of the house has risen and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, open to us, then he will answer you, I do not know where you come from. Then you will begin to say, We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets. But he will say, I tell you, I do not know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of evil! In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God but you yourselves cast out. And people will come from east and west, and from north and south, and recline at table in the kingdom of God. And behold, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last. ---ESV

The Romists are right on this one. We are to spread the Gospel everywhere, but are not expected to get many people through the narrow door.

Num14:29Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me, 30Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. 31But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised. 32But as for you, your carcases, they shall fall in this wilderness. 33And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness.
Jer8:9The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?10Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them:for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.11For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.12aWere they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush:

There has NEVER in the history of the world been as frothing an atheist movement as there is today in all North America and Europe. Go anywhere online especially sites like youtube and you will see what the spirit of the age truly is. No time in the history of the world has the time of the Antichrist who will be public atheist and secret pagan been as it is today.

Well said! Yes, if someone belongs to Christ and they wonder off, He will go after them. Notice the below said He will never cast them away and He "will" raise them up.

[37] All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. [44] No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. [65] And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. (Jhn 6:37, 44, 65 KJV)

Notice verse 28 below. It doesn't say He gives them conditional eternal life. Eternal lasts forever of course.

[27] My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: [28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand. [29] My Father, which gave [them] me, is greater than all; and no [man] is able to pluck [them] out of my Father's hand. [30] I and [my] Father are one. (Jhn 10:27-30 KJV)

John you didn't read, Adriel's comment below, remember Catholics who become Christian will leave the Romish Church (Is a Catholic Christian an Oxymoron?) and (Is the One True Church Roman Catholic?). It's very logical to quit this church and others with a prelacy.

Again... (Church, Tradition or Christ?) from which,

In 1992, 12% of Americans claimed to be evangelical. That dropped to 9% in 1993, and to 7% in 1994. The polls don’t confirm the great last-days revival touted on TBN but that today’s boasted “church growth” is largely a myth; 70-80% comes from transfers between churches. Absolute truth is rejected by 71% of Americans, 64% of “born-agains,” and 40% of “evangelicals.” Most Presbyterians and Methodists and 88% of Roman Catholics active in their churches believe one enters heaven by being good enough. And 30% of “born-agains” deny the physical resurrection!

Human conviction doesn't stand the test of time.

A. Arminian Position: All who believe and are truly saved can lose their salvation.Sinners can lose their salvation by failing to keep up their faith, by falling into a state of serious sin, etc.

B. Antinomian Position: (Also known as "Easy Believism") All who make a profession of faith are eternally secure, whether or not they keep up their faith.

C. Reformed Position: All who are chosen by God, redeemed by Christ, and regenerated by the Holy Spirit are eternally saved. They are kept in Faith by the Power of Almighty God and therefore continue to persevere in faith.

"John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

"Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise"

no one considers that the Falling away has happened so long ago that it was glossed over because most that were fallen away could not tell that they were, now were nearing the End of the Time of the Gentiles

No more religious exemptions: Montreal is taxing churches

churches struggle enough to keep open what kind of outcome of this new policy and what if it spreads?

the end of the time of the Gentiles is white genocide, when they move the Capital to Jerusalem they will start to kill us

Because, John of UK, their study just recognizes facts that have already been surmise by other people for example,

Christopher Brittain wrote:
...the challenges confronting both liberal and conservative churches in Europe and the United States may be more alike than is often assumed. Douthat's article opens up a crack of acknowledgement in this direction, when he notes that the most successful churches in the United States are "theologically shallow, preaching a gospel of health and wealth rather than the full New Testament message." Similarly, Stanley Hauerwas - no friend of liberal Christianity - has accused conservative American Protestants of being unable to distinguish between their faith in God and loyalty to their country. Intriguingly, his criticism of conservative evangelicals sounds remarkably similar to Douthat's accusation against liberal Christianity: "the churches to which they go do little to challenge the secular presumptions that form their lives."
--- (Plague on both their houses: The real story of growth and decline in liberal and conservative churches)

An interesting read from a Canadian Theologian who is now based in Great Britain.

What faith did they actually abandon?

Matthew 13:18 “Hear then the parable of the sower: 19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path. 20 As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy, 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away. 22 As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. 23 As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.” ---ESV
