House votes to topple Obamacare, defund Planned Parenthood

The U.S. House voted Thursday to adopt the American Health Care Act, a replacement for Obamacare that would pull down some of the pillars of the law described by Republicans as failing and which many insurers are fleeing.

The bill now goes to the Senate, where it likely will be amended and sent to a conference committee and another House vote.

The House passed the plan Thursday by a narrow 217-213.

President Trump, who campaigned to get rid of Obamacare, said the new bill will cut costs and cut deductibles. ...

I don't know if I'll bother to read the article again, and I seriously doubt that Sander's plan is going to cost a trillion dollars as the authoress said. If I remember correctly she said it would be hard to get past a Republican Congress. I will point out something of a confusing article --bottom line someone's tax is going to be increased and one would hope it is the plutocrats'

Clare Foran is a millennial. If you didn't know it, you could tell because, due to her lack of real world experience and understanding, she actually thinks more government involvement in healthcare could make it more efficient, and "could bring down overall cost.." Like government involvement is more efficient and brings down costs in other areas it gets involved in.

A majority of Americans, at 58 percent, said the government has a responsibility to provide health coverage, according to a June survey by the Pew Research Center. But as my colleague Olga Khazan has reported, support for single payer decreased when people were told their taxes would go up. Republicans, meanwhile, have already started to attack single payer as an exorbitantly expensive idea.

There isn't a bit of difference between political parties, they BOTH are greedy....just look at the Clintons and Obamas. Now, those with discernment know politics is filled with greedy, power hungry unregenerate sinners who desire to push their own agendas. Neither party has the interest of the American people at heart, as has been proven time and time again.

We are to pray for our leaders, those who are truly born again by God do NOT let politics consume them. We know we are pilgrims here and care little about the greed of others. The wicked will continue to be wicked.

Greedy Old Party lining at their pockets, as usual, at the expense of others.

From your link-
"An account owned by Conaway’s wife made two purchases of UnitedHealth stock, worth as much as $30,000, on March 24th, the day the legislation advanced in the House Rules Committee, according to disclosures"

How awful, especially in that United Healthcare dropped out of the obamcare exchanges over a year ago, well before a Trump administration. A wise move on their part. Maybe investing in them is a good idea. But who cares about details when points are to be made?

I agree with you sister. Jim tries to find a possible exception to a rule and then uses that exception to tear down the rule/truth. IOW, the exception, proven or not, becomes the new rule. It is called itching ears or eisegesis. What you said below is perfect!

Hey sister!

You can usually tell who is seeking truth and who isn’t. Those who are not don’t address the scriptural arguments presented to them, but simply resort to their usual rants. Why someone would turn their heads from the truth is a very telling thing. Jim does that with the life of the mother silliness and other liberal agendas. The trolls on this forum will normally just proceed with their goals and ignore God’s word.

Jim attacking your gender “without cause” is a sure sign that you touched a nerve. Good for you.

When compared to other types of evidence, anecdotal evidence is generally regarded as limited in value due to a number of potential weaknesses, but may be considered within the scope of scientific method as some anecdotal evidence can be both empirical and verifiable, e.g. in the use of case studies in medicine. Other anecdotal evidence, however, does not qualify as scientific evidence, because its nature prevents it from being investigated by the scientific method.

Where only one or a few anecdotes are presented, there is a larger chance that they may be unreliable due to cherry-picked or otherwise non-representative samples of typical cases...

Here's a testimony about Planned Parenthood...
"Anderson was hired by the facility in 2010. Her job was to provide patients with “conscious sedation,” which consisted of providing intravenous sedatives and anesthesia to women who were about to have their abortions.
She reveals that the Planned Parenthood facility injured a number of women while she worked there:
Several times, there were difficulties with abortions while I worked there, where they had to call the hospital to come pick the woman up. … A lot of the cases we had were from excessive bleeding or reactions to the sedation. One was particularly serious:
One girl almost bled out. She was passing clots, [and] her blood pressure was dropping.
The workers were instructed not to mention the word “abortion” when they called for an ambulance.
When we had to call 911 for an ambulance, we were told never to say the word “abortion” because they don’t want that broadcast. They knew that the calls were recorded, and could be made public. In another case, facility workers were instructed to transport injured women to the hospital in their cars instead of calling for an ambulance."from https://www.liveaction.org/news/former-planned-parenthood-nurse-now-speaks-out-for-life/

And only those who are of their father, the devil, make excuses for killing babies- spewing out lies like 'life of the mother, rape, blah blah blah' - Hitler had the same mentality as you do Jim - he wanted to kill all Jews. You desire to kill the most innocent of life - babies. You then seek to justify your murderous agenda with 'links', as though they trump God's word - 'thou shalt not kill'. You are in big trouble on the day of judgment. Remember, you must be born again.

BTW, you slithered back sooner than I predicted. Take note, from Rev. 21:8 "But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
