The director of a large Bible institute was speaking in a church when a woman who attended the school shared with him how one particular professor‚Äôs teaching was really changing her life. When the director called the professor the next morning to relay this woman‚Äôs appreciation, he heard ‚Äúsilence‚ÄĚ on the other end and then a sincere, ‚ÄúThank you. I really needed that.‚ÄĚ The director responded, ‚ÄúWell, I want you to know I appreciate you also. Thank you for your faithfulness.‚ÄĚ Subsequently, the director learned that in all the years of this professor‚Äôs teaching this was the first time he had ever received positive feedback from one of his superiors.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 reminds us, ‚ÄúEdify one another, even as also ye do.‚ÄĚ A word of praise, thanks or appreciation has often kept someone on his feet. Take a moment today to sincerely encourage someone, perhaps your pastor who feeds your soul each week! At SermonAudio, we often receive encouragement from broadcasters and we enjoy sharing some of this with you so you can rejoice with us over God‚Äôs work through His Word. Here‚Äôs a few recent conversations.
SermonAudio is proud to be a partner with FAME as we co-produce a weekly 'audio journal podcast' called Five Minutes of FAME taken from a first-person perspective by Field Leader, Rodney Davidson. Learn more about how to support the work!
But first, some other encouragements!
In a recent staff meeting, Dr. Joel Beeke paid us a visit and shared with us a short but encouraging word to endure. We've received some heart-warming feedback from some listeners in connection with that challenge:
Recently I listened to a special talk by Dr. Joel Beeke which he gave to the SermonAudio staff. What a fantastic encouragement for you all at SA and for every Christian! Indeed, I can only imagine how many souls SA is a blessing to! Personally, I use it EVERY day as I wait on God’s timing for seminary. SA is my personal chapel and I can't imagine trying to find solid teaching and preaching without it. You guys are an unspeakable blessing and I say along with Dr. Beeke that one day you'll see an innumerable host of souls that your ministry has blessed by the preaching of God's Word. Thank you. Words don't do my gratitude justice, but thank you so much for this great resource for spiritual growth! -- A Listener
Just a quick note of thanks for what you are doing. This morning as I started to go on my morning run a "thought" came to me - why not run on the track instead of on the road and listen to a sermon on "SermonAudio". I picked one of your "Staff Picks" - "Encouragement To Endure" - little did I know that it was about "running" and "enduring" which I was presently doing. Then I listened to Dr. Ken Ham, "...be prepared in season and out of season to give an answer..." - part of what I'm preaching on in Acts when Paul was asked to give his "defense" in front of Governor Festus. Anyway, thank you for your obedience to the Lord's calling on your life. May the Lord continue to bless you as you do His work. -- Darin, Pastor, Junction City, Oregon
Encouraging broadcaster feedback..
Below is some of the feedback from broadcasters we've received just this past week. We encourage you to contact them and tell them that you saw them here!
Henry Dixon, Poplar Baptist Church www.sermonaudio.com/poplarbaptist"We were blessed with a lady who came to us after she was wonderfully converted by listening to a sermon on SermonAudio! As she listened to a reading of sermon by Charles Spurgeon on SermonAudio, she called on Christ to save her. She started to attend our church and died about two or three years later due to the effects of her drug-addiction prior to coming to Christ. She was a very ordinary woman who came to love the Puritans and had a whole stack of their books she had read in her home She died peacefully in the Lord! A number of people have visited our church after first listening to our preaching on SermonAudio. It’s so encouraging to have a worldwide outreach through this site. We just learned that we can upload PDF transcripts of our sermons on the site so we plan to start that soon as well! May God bless your ministry!"
Pastor Jeff Arthur, Sr., Elizabeth Baptist Church www.sermonaudio.com/elizabethbaptist"Sermon Audio has been a great blessing to our Church we have had visitors to our little town from New Jersey, California, Louisiana,North Carolina, etc. and have heard from folks from all over the world via email. We also have seen several people saved through this means. It is the very best place to store your sermons because it makes them available to such a large audience. Thanks much for your labors!"
Pastor Nicholas Smiley, Faith Bible Church www.sermonaudio.com/faithbiblenc"I have nothing but positive to say about SermonAudio. I have been acquainted with the site long before I became a pastor. I used to listen to sermons frequently at that time. When I became a pastor, I knew we needed to be on SermonAudio. It’s a great tool for outreach and letting people know who you are. It’s also just a great place to store your past sermons for your people and others who want to see the larger picture of your teaching and preaching. We are a small church that frankly doesn’t get much traffic on our own church website, but on SermonAudio we get much more exposure. I really am thankful you all opened it up so we can upload unlimited sermons now. I also just installed your widget that makes it easy to upload our weekly messages to one place but it appears on both your site and on our website! Keep up the good work!"
Steve Richardson, Faith Presbyterian Church www.sermonaudio.com/faithtillsonburg"We always find it encouraging and a bit surprising at times when we find out where people are listening to sermons from all over the world. We are a small church and this site provides us with a much broader outreach. Recently I did a sermon series that was picked up from some in the US. One minister and I corresponded and have developed a friendship through this connection. Of course our own people enjoy the benefit of listening to a sermon they missed. We really appreciate the articles of faith that broadcasters must sign. People who are looking for sound churches often find them through SermonAudio because your site is well-known and has such a large presence on the internet."
We would encourage you to read through more testimonials we've received over the years from both listeners and broadcasters alike.
