"The Holy Spirit who inspired the Scriptures will also expect obedience to the Scriptures. If we do not obey the Scriptures, we quench Him." "Everybody is as full as he wants to be. Everybody has as much of God as he desires to have." "The desire to be filled must become all absorbing in your life. If there is anything bigger in your life than your desire to be a Spirit-filled Christian, then you will never be a Spirit-filled Christian til that is cured...never!" "When you reach that place of despair, when there is nobody can help you, when you have gone to the last person, you've written the last editor, followed the last evangelist around, hunted up the last fellow to counsel with him, when nobody can help you anymore and you are in a state of inward despair, that's when you should never despair because you are near the kingdom.
That's getting close. You are getting near the place where God can do something for you. But there comes that despair with self, that emptying out of you. That inner loneliness.
It is part of my belief, and I think it is from the Scriptures, that God wants to get us to a place where if we only had Him we would still be happy. We don't need God and something else. It's God plus something else that's the trouble with us." Tozer

S. Taylor, a Christian worldview is a little more deeper than that. Something that even Wikipedia recognizes. ]]http://tinyurl.com/zfwrlpd (Christian worldview). Unfortunately Wikipedia doesn't know exactly what a Christian is. So the worldview of focus on the family is different from that of John MacArthur. Good choice,Adriel, on the Romans 11:5.

This establishes our view of the argument on Election in Ro 9:1-29, as not being an election of Gentiles in the place of Jews, and merely to religious advantages, but a sovereign choice of some of Israel itself, from among others, to believe and be saved.
""Huge Gap Between Number Of Americans Claiming To Be Christian And Number Living Biblically""
The Remnant has always been a small number in the churches - as well as in the nations.
Romans 9:27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:"
Romans 11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. 6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work."
We know it's a little flock and many will name the name of Christ saying Lord Lord but many don't follow His word. It's just like in Matthew 7 where they say Lord Lord and He says depart from me I never knew you.
It's amazing how fitting and timeless the Bible is.

Good thought sister! And let me add a couple more. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, then it is probably a duck.
Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
lets get back to the full counsel of the Word of God! the Bible has answers for all aspects of life. too much shame of the gospel and its effects on society. Creationism has answers for us, biblical natural law.

"It has nothing at all to do with belief. Indeed it accepts the affirmations of theism. It has reference wholly to the mode of life. It is to live as though there was no God.
"It takes the form often of complete indifference to the claims of the Divine Being or again of outbroken and defiant wickedness (Psalms 14:1). That this form of atheism is widely prevalent is well known. It is accompanied in many cases with some form of unbelief or prejudice or false opinion of the church or Christianity. Dogmatic atheism is no longer a menace or even a hindrance to the progress of Christianity, but practical atheism is widespread in its influence and a dangerous element in our modern life (compare Isaiah 31:1 Jeremiah 2:13 Jeremiah 2:17-18 Jeremiah 18:13-15).... [Any type of Atheism] is always a system of negation and as such tears down and destroys. It destroys the faith upon which all human relations are built. Since there is no God, there is no right nor wrong, and human action is neither good nor bad, but convenient or inconvenient. It leaves human society without a basis for order and human government without foundation (Romans 1:10-32). All is hopeless, all is wretchedness, all is tending to the grave and the grave ends all...."--ISBE (Atheism)
R.C. Sprou wrote: What is deadly to the church is when the external forms of religion are maintained while their substance is discarded. This we call practical atheism. Practical atheism appears when we live as if there were no God. The externals continue, but man becomes the central thrust of devotion as the attention of religious concern shifts away from man‚Äôs devotion to God to man‚Äôs devotion to man, bypassing God. The ‚Äúethic‚ÄĚ of Christ continues in a superficial way, having been ripped from its supernatural, transcendent, and divine foundation.
Biblical Christianity knows nothing of a false dichotomy between devotion to God and concern for man. The Great Commandment incorporates both...
...It is possible for the church to believe all the right things and do the wrong things. It is possible also to believe the wrong things and do the right things (but not for very long). We need right faith initiating right action. Honest faith‚ÄĒjoined with honest action‚ÄĒbears witness to a real God and a real Christ.
