Older Judges and Vacant Seats Give Trump Huge Power to Shape American Courts
In the weeks since taking office, President Trump has derided court decisions as ‚Äúridiculous‚ÄĚ and ‚Äúdisgraceful,‚ÄĚ called the legitimacy of federal judges into question and encouraged people to blame the courts in the event of another terrorist attack.
But Mr. Trump could soon find himself responsible for appointing a greater share of federal court judges than any first-term president in 40 years, in large part because of a growing number of older judges and a stack of vacancies on the federal courts....
I do wish he would just ignore all the nay sayers and get on with the job of turning all this craziness we have had to put up with for 8 years with Obama. President Trump has people that love him or hate him and that's life. We are to pray as he is the authority that the Bible tells us to pray for in order that we can live a peaceable life. For those who have prayed for me , got good news today on my repeat check up as the spot they were concerned about has dissapiated so many thanks. I feel those prayers. John U.K. Really love Grace Gems. Very helpful in my walk with Christ. You and Ladybug ūüźě MS and others have so encouraged me more than I can say. Good night, many blessings.
If Trump does provide a clear economic policy, day light as a sovereign nation with respect to our relationship with Russia and implement his plans for growth and freedom for our citizens and if the deplorables don't see more money, more jobs, better choices with the ACA, ... the Democratic Party will have Pelosi as speaker and Warren as president in 4 years. Fat boy, start being smart, get off the twitter and get to work.
From article:- ""Conservatives are itching to counter eight years of Mr. Obama’s appointments. During his two terms and despite Senate sluggishness, he appointed about 40 percent of the federal judiciary. The pace of female and minority appointments to the federal bench continued to increase, enough so that as of February of last year, white men no longer represented a majority of active federal judges.""
Hmmm. I wonder what they are implying in that statement??
In my past life, as a criminal at enmity with god's will, Trump would've been known as a Dog. A person that wheels and deals, does his bit, gets what he wants, then starts kissing up to the Law, again for personal gain. I can see parallels with this and Trump making his fortune, dodging every thing he can, gets fat and richer then comes out pointing the finger at the laws he exploited. And cries the loudest about the injustice of it all.
