College socialists: We need more violence against Trump

“Get involved in the upcoming revolution!”

That’s what a Columbia University student was telling passers-by on campus Monday as he handed out flyers for a Thursday event calling for a new socialist order in response to Donald Trump’s presidency.

If the “revolution” indeed started on Thursday, it amounted to gushing over how much political violence can accomplish for socialism.

The Barnard-Columbia Socialists, which includes students from Columbia and its sibling women’s college, used Monday’s daylong campus protests and demonstrations against Trump’s executive order on immigration to promote their similar event, “The Case for Socialist Organization.” ...

You might be surprised whose conservative and find that they aren't having a fun time on an American campus not surprising.

Of course you're kidding Connor? ]]http://tinyurl.com/ypago4 "Christian" Activism?
John MacArthur wrote:
Many think this is a political problem that will not be solved without a political strategy. During the past twenty-five years, well-meaning Christians have founded a number of evangelical activist organizations and sunk millions of dollars into them in an effort to use the apparatus of politics—lobbying, legislation, demonstration, and boycott—to counteract the moral decline of American culture....

But is that a proper perspective? I believe not. America’s moral decline is a spiritual problem, not a political one, and its solution is the gospel, not partisan politics.

Typical-
For many Jewish students at the University of Michigan, celebration of the Jewish New Year was unjustly marred by feelings of pain and ostracism. On Rosh Hashanah, a campus group called “Students Allied for Freedom and Equality” (SAFE) erected a so-called “apartheid” wall and mock Israeli checkpoints on the Diag, in the center of the campus. As one Jewish student described it, the wall falsely depicted Israel as an apartheid state, and falsely painted the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces as vicious murderers.

Many Jewish students expressed how hurt, offended and marginalized they felt by SAFE’s actions. SAFE unapologetically justified the display, claiming that the group’s goal was “to start the conversation about the oppression of Palestinians under occupation.” If that were true, then SAFE would have scheduled its anti-Israel demonstration on a day when Jewish students could be part of the conversation. Instead, as SAFE undoubtedly knew, many Jewish students were observing the holiday, either on campus or elsewhere, and were thus denied the opportunity to stand up for their Jewish homeland in dialogue with others in the campus community.

SteveR the "So? Big Deal!" was tongue-in-cheek, right? I'm pretty slow on picking up on those things.

I wonder if the notice said they should wear brown shirts and come prepared with rocks to break windows of store-owners that are Jewish. It would be a repeat of Germany in the 1930s.

The old expression was that “Socialism Breeds Mediocrity, Capitalism Breeds Exceptionalism.” As the numbers above show you socialism breeds a lot more than mediocrity."

Our colleges are training our kids not only to be anarchists but mass murderers also.

Great insight. Thx.

academia is at the center of this commnst sweep, as they call out the Christian white male, this calling out being done largely by older white males!

hmmm. what is it they are trying to eradicate....?

and will millennials get tired of being used by a rogue element of the baby boomer generation while their parents, gen x seem to have disappeared off the radar? (or are they the jobless, low wage ones trying to pay the taxes to feed this madness?)

I post this from last summer to show how far the SBC has some elements that are dragging Christians into identity politics because they are not doing their due diligence....

"Are you catching the theme?  Each and every one of these folks has already made up their minds that these shootings were unjustified.  None of them has the full story and none of them have ever faced the dangers that a police officer faces every day that they lace their boots up"

"Albert Mohler, President of Southern Theological Seminary, tweeted this:
“1,000 questions must be answered, but Christians must ask if ‪#‎AltonSterling‬ & ‪#‎PhilandoCastile‬ would be alive today if they were white.”"

Hey John, the reds get out of bed around 11:30 AM so they can get their ten dollar cup of coffee and check out Facebook/Twitter at the local coffee shop. Nothing like plotting a revolution over a ten dollar cup of coffee paid by their wealthy parents or by the taxpayer.
