Pakistan Acquits All 115 Suspects in Burning of Christians' Homes

A court in Pakistan on Saturday cited lack of evidence to acquit all 115 suspects in the burning of more than 150 houses of Christians in 2013 over alleged blasphemy of the Prophet Muhammad.

Chaudhry Muhammad Azam, Lahore's anti-terrorism court judge, said the prosecutors failed to produce sufficient evidence against the accused, who had been charged under various laws, including the Anti-Terrorism Act, attempted murder, robbery, arson and terrorism, according to The Indian Express.

In the US, it's often as little as cable TV, Starbucks and restaurants. I really think as long as you keep those things engaging the public, they would roll over and let themselves be led into whatever abominiation de jur.
Thanks sister! And the verses you quoted are two of my favorites. We are on the same page on this issue!

"A prosecution lawyer, however, disputed the judge's conclusion and was quoted as saying, "This incident not only spread a wave of terrorism in Lahore but also brought a bad to name to Pakistan.""

Yes I don't think anybody in the civilised section of the world believes the judge. Muslims literally get away with murder in the muslim dominated countries.

Whereas Christians are penalised and convicted of crimes they did not commit.

Muslim nation political correctness is - Muslims cannot do crimes, sin or evil.

But as God states about iniquity in these countries ....
"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Isaiah 5:20.

that's right! and he isn't banning muslems there's 40 some countries that are moslem still open? just vetting where there's instability. I guess the protests and computer problems caused major problems in airports, there's no need for all this.

anyway if these people really cared about Syrian refugees they'd be here with me everyday calling to stop aiding and abetting ISIS!

And in this country the loud minority rant, and they scream, and they cry and they throw out the most vile, angry, hateful rhetoric... It reminds me of when God would give the Isrealites "one more chance" and they would scream and cry for their idols, meat pots and slavery. The absurdity and insanity of these blinded people almost takes my breath away - leaves me speechless. Praise God He has written the script and even if I don't get it, we're all playing His tune. He is always and forever in absolute control.
Very well said stranger and why is the wild west more civilized now? I believe that God often exposes sin and hypocrisy through prosperity. The Israelite history is a prime example of that. If our faith is based on prosperity, it will in time fail. Christians often become jealous of those who have material possessions; notice Asaph in Psalms 73 and there are many more examples.

Yes our Lord is all loving and all sovereign in the way He rules in this evil and sinful world, but very mysterious like you said. Our faith and trust in our Lord should not be based on our circumstances, but solely in Him and His word.

Good seeing you posting again.

Now Trump has an opportunity to send a different human rights message with sanctions and by adding a Pakistani border ban temporarily for non U.S. citizens. The ruling is too sweeping to be credible on 115 suspects who were taken to court for some reason.

Yes, indeed, this is the "joys" of sharia law. A jealous Muslim neighbour can get rid of his Christian neighbour just by saying the magic word "blasphemy", starting a riot and the Christian has to be arrested for his own protection and then charged with this capital offence, and woe betide any judge or lawyer who acquits or defends him.

However, the Muslim neighbour can also attack his neighbour's house, his business, or lynch his neighbour, or he can seize the neighbour's daughter, rape, forcefully marry and "convert" her by force to Islam, threaten her family if they resist this wickedness, and produce a religious certificate of marriage, and of course the police will do absolutely nothing, and any fair minded prosecutor, judge or governor who dares to intervene on behalf of the Christian family will be threatened, pressured or even murdered to drop the case.

Yet secular Western liberals demand that we allow and permit sharia law in our countries, initially to run alongside our national law. Sharia law has no interest in running alongside our law. Islam demands that it becomes the sole law.

The Christian Post wrote:
he blasphemy law, embedded in Sections 295 and 298 of the Pakistan Penal Code, is frequently misused to target religious minorities – Christians, Shi'as, Ahmadiyyas and Hindus – and allows Islamists and others to justify killings. Extremist Islamists believe that killing a "blasphemous" person earns a heavenly reward.

Just an accusation under the controversial law is enough to have a person arrested, and there is no provision to punish a false accuser or a false witness of blasphemy.
