Russell Moore applauds President Trump on decision to reinstate Mexico City Policy
Russell Moore, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, commended President Trump on his decision to reinstate the Mexico City Policy today, that bans funds for international organizations that perform or promote abortions..
“The usage of taxpayer money to fund abortions is and always has been morally repugnant, and I applaud President Trump's decision to reinstate the Mexico City Policy. This common sense policy protects conscience freedom and prevents taxpayer dollars from sponsoring abortions. Public funds should be used for protecting life and promoting human flourishing, not exploiting women and families. This decision will save lives, will encourage the hundreds of thousands of men and women who will march on Washington this week for the rights of unborn children, along with millions more around the country who believe that foreign aid should...
This should also please Russell since it is expands the Mexico City Plan

The resurgence of Russia makes NATO a very important organization!
The Economist wrote: Nearly a quarter-century after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the West faces a greater threat from the East than at any point during the cold war. Even during the Cuban missile crisis of 1962, Soviet leaders were constrained by the Politburo and memories of the second world war. Now, according to Russia’s chief propagandist, Dmitry Kiselev, even a decision about the use of nuclear arms “will be taken personally by Mr Putin, who has the undoubted support of the Russian people”. Bluff or not, this reflects the Russian elite’s perception of the West as a threat to the very existence of the Russian state.... Behind Russia’s confrontation with the West lies a clash of ideas. On one side are human rights, an accountable bureaucracy and democratic elections; on the other an unconstrained state that can sacrifice its citizens’ interests to further its destiny or satisfy its rulers’ greed. Both under communism and before it, the Russian state acquired religious attributes. It is this sacred state which is under threat.

Jim; I still think that it belongs to another era of history and is of little use today. For some nations (perhaps most) it is a seeming insurance policy, however they put little if any real military input into the conflicts which occur. AND even less financial investment.
Quote:- ""The end of the Cold War should have celebrated, and made final, by the dissolution of both the alliances of the era. In the event, only the Warsaw Pact was wound up. Nato survived, and has spent the best part of 30 years casting around for something else to do. There are reasons why Nato was not disbanded. Some are understandable: there was so much going on, so many uncertainties to deal with, that there was no time to take on additional distractions. Nato also offered an element of solid security in a suddenly fluid world. Other reasons are, in their way, admirable. Those countries now freed from the extinct Soviet bloc still feared Russia and sought the defensive shelter they believed Nato could provide. The mistake was less to admit them, almost a decade later, than that the alliance was still there."" http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/donald-trump-is-right-about-one-thing-nato-is-obsolete-a6973231.html
Adriel, the new Secretary of Defense, one of the Cabinet appointees, that both the Republicans and Democrats agreed upon is very pro-Nato, this short article from USAToday will point that out, ]]http://tinyurl.com/z6ahgqq (Defense Secretary Mattis emphasizes NATO commitment on first day).

Jim; President Trump is correct when he states NATO is obsolete - especially when it is always America which foots the bill. I hope he forces the nations to fulfill their commitments in the global hostilities we see developing.
I sincerely hope Pres. Trump forces the other countries to pay their share of conflicts throughout the world.
The UK is another case in point. At this time in its history the UK by Westminster defence cuts has not even got a practical, realistic military defence. The Royal Navy for example was killed by David Cameron and previous Prime Ministers.
When world war III comes in the next couple of decades Britain will have nothing left to fight with. - And in all probability America will be too busy in the Pacific side of things.

agenda 21.... reduce populations, control them under world bank economy to "save the earth".
through abortion and vaccine services and accepting sodomite marriage before they could buy and sell and trade with us.
this new world order is not going to give in, things are going to get heated.
in the meantime, what an encouragement to see businessmen meet to bring jobs back, to see union members applaud their meeting with prez and the CIA members to give him a standing ovation..... once again showing there are people who do not want to destroy this nation and even many who will do the right thing at personal cost.
This news is worth giving our God a shout of praise! The Obama Administration and others in the past used abortion to black mail poor countries (mostly African) by withholding health care, food, and funds if they refused our international abortion services as a form of population control (eugenics). The result of which is that many times as many babies of many nations, creeds, and tongues have been slaughtered by yours and mine tax dollars overseas than here in the U.S. Now we must pray for and lobby Congress that a bill be crafted and given to this president to sign that will give the unborn here the same victory here on our shores.
Don't let rocks steal the privilege that has been given to us (to YOU) of rendering praise and glory to our God when good news such as this comes our way!
