One day a man who loved antiques was in a little store and he saw a painting that caught his eye. He didn‚Äôt know much about it but it was only $35. He liked it so he bought it. He cleaned it up a bit and repaired the frame. A few weeks later a friend came to visit. As he was sitting down talking in the living room he said, ‚ÄúDo you know what you have here? I think it is a painting by the Spanish artist El Greco!‚ÄĚ It turns it out this $35 painting was actually worth $35,000!
In general, the value we put on something is determined by the author, creator, or designer of something. In this case, The paint and canvass wasn’t worth much, but because of the skill, expertise and reputation of El Greco, it became worth thousands of dollars.
Scripture is invaluable and totally adequate because of the creator and writer of it‚ÄĒGod Almighty! (2 Timothy 3:16). SermonAudio features thousands of broadcasters faithfully proclaiming God‚Äôs truth. Here is what they have been telling us about their partnership with us!
SermonAudio is proud to be a partner with FAME as we co-produce a weekly 'audio journal podcast' called Five Minutes of FAME taken from a first-person perspective.
But first, some other encouragements!
As we finish out 2016, we want to wish you a very Happy New Year from our SermonAudio Staff to you! Pray for us as we launch into a new year. Pray that our focus stays right. And pray that a great and effectual door is opened to us (1 Cor 16:9).
We had the great privilege of having Alan Dunlop join us for this year's Christmas Dinner and he delivered a brief word of encouragement to our staff. Enjoy it!
Encouraging broadcaster feedback..
Below is some of the feedback from broadcasters we've received just this past week. We encourage you to contact them and tell them that you saw them here!
Bill Pike, Deacon, Copperfield Bible Church www.sermonaudio.com/copperfieldbc"It is very nice to be able to get the monthly download reports. It’s interesting to us to be able to see the various places where people are accessing our online sermons. People in our church use SermonAudio to catch up on sermons they missed. People out of state supplement what they are getting from their local churches. There are some in our area who attend other churches but who also like to hear our sermons as well. Finally, we have a significant amount of downloads in countries in Africa and in some Muslim countries. It’s great to see the reach around the world. We have no complaints. The site is easily accessible and works well for us."
Kurt Settles, Cookeville Primitive Baptist Church www.sermonaudio.com/cookevillepbc"We are appreciative of all that SermonAudio is doing to spread the gospel across the world. Our congregation is very small, but SermonAudio allows us to reach beyond our doors in a way that would not be possible otherwise. The monthly updates showing us that our messages are being listened to in the U.S. as well as other countries are very encouraging."
Andrew Davenport, Cornerstone Presbyterian Church www.sermonaudio.com/cpc-mebane"We are a small work that has just recently called our first full-time minister. We joined SermonAudio so people might know about us in our area. God has blessed and a few people have found us and joined with us. When Dr. John Carrick, our current pulpit supply, was unavailable at times, we would watch a SermonAudio church broadcast. We have called Dr. Gavin Beers as our new pastor and hope to increase our presence on the site. We will continue to pray for SermonAudio as you promulgate the gospel of Jesus Christ through this means."
Rick Vis, Covenant Fellowship of Moneta www.sermonaudio.com/covfellowship"It is a pleasure being on SermonAudio. We find our partnership with you to be a mutually beneficial experience. The greatest benefit to us is the opportunity to preach the Word more broadly. The longer we are on, the more countries tune in. This is a great tool in the 21st century to propagate the gospel. I'm so grateful for this positive use of modern technology. We are also thankful for some people who have come into the life of our church through hearing us on SermonAudio."
We would encourage you to read through more testimonials we've received over the years from both listeners and broadcasters alike.
