Zales New Commercial Features Lesbian Couple

Popular jewelry store Zales is making waves with its new commercial which features a lesbian couple on their wedding day.

The Christian Examiner reports that the commercial drew the attention of the family-oriented group One Million Moms which says that with the ad, Zales has “crossed a line” by attempting to “normalize sin.”

One Million Moms is a subgroup of the American Family Association and describes its mission as follows: “to give moms an impact with the decision-makers and let them know we are upset with the messages they are sending our children and the values (or lack of them) they are pushing.” ...

See what you mean. Thanks for taking time to clarify
This Scripture warning seems not in vain,
“Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin” Ec 5:6

1. Surely this Forum might not be merely infested by liberalism, as some may suspect, but mainly by the *works of the flesh* of participants.
However, we know that by the works of the flesh no good shall prevail, because the flesh cannot perform the works of God according to His own nature, but according to our corrupted self:

“... the flesh cannot please God.” Rm 8:8

“ we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh ...” Rm 8

2. Yes, the deceitfulness of sin in us may endear such predicament quite often.
This is why to forbear without malice and with patience should be the recommended rule of thumb

It is never healthy when 'knowledge', outgrows charity/grace so that we cannot give time and thought to understand each others words.

Rather, grace and knowledge go hand in hand:
"grow in *grace*, and in the *knowledge* of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ" 2Pe 3:18

Thank you for your kindness

Some how whenever a woman posts comments which cannot be contested then she is seen as a feminist with an agenda when she may just be very well versed in Scripture.
There is a difference between presenting/defending Scripture and usurping authority, especially on a forum such as this.
Let me guess. That is your authoritative opinion and therefore everyone should bow to it. lol

If I asked my boss today if he would advertise to that demographic, he would say no. But I betcha if he thought it would increase business by 30%, he would. Lucky for us, I doubt it would help business

But the local store employees here in town wont serve transgenders. I guarantee you, if you offered those $12/hr people a job with transgender colleagues in silicon valley making $300k/yr, they would move in a heartbeat

I got so lost there for a little while SC. I think it's because I use the app and not the website? So maybe my posting wasn't clear. Regardless, you are correct..it is a little foolish isn't it? But if we boycott every company that has those views... I wouldn't have a job with my ultra left wing fortune 50 company!!

This sermon was a blessing to me this morning:

Paul Washer: Signs of a true Christian

It convicted me of my own error and was a blessing to me this morning.

God bless everyone and I hope you all have a great day.

BM I know all our comments contain sin in them and also our reading of them. This is more of what I was talking about. I know it is easy to read into a comment as well. I'm sure you must agree with this as well. Thanks.

Brother Jeremy, I have read Sister BMCs comments long enough to know she is no deceiver, was surprised someone is ready to suggest such, most of us here would've never even thought such a thing. Good day to you.

However, Jeremy was describing realistic scenarios based on common/ possible dysfunctional church behaviour

2. Please, consider the response of Jeremy | Usofa to yours and this will suffice.
Prudence advises against some actions in some particular circumstances as this. As Jeremy explains the Holy Spirit is at work, it is for people to respond to his conviction or to resist Him.

3. Please, reconsider the meaning of this word in the light of what is happening here. This is an open Forum in which personal opinion is shared.

'Out people by name'...are you in the mafia? If you were convicted about what I wrote maybe you should repent. I have no need to 'out ' anybody. If you are a Christian, you have the 3rd member of the trinity abiding in you do you not? One of His jobs is to convict the believer of sin..are you convicted? Maybe you should repent, buy some Gospel tracts, give them out, watch God work, and stop being a busybody.
You're also B McCausland?

Kev, thank you for your kindness.
Some quick answers to yours here.

1. The meaning intended for this phrase is to courteously suggest a possibility/ idea, instead of imposing it on SC.

2. This is a Scriptural given. See Jh 15:20

3. No question about this, yet basic Christian manners failed, and malice, spite, resentment, slander and insult prevailed violating basic Christian ethos

4. Surely misunderstandings may happen in the use of written language, hence clarification may be sought with kindness. However, such allowances have not been sought in a spirit of love, but rather attack and derision have been preferred and practiced, giving plenty of room to ponder about personal agendas or motivations

5. This is an open forum in which one can present an answer, or his/her personal take, about any matter presented. You may observe that this has not happened, rather the automatic pilot of detraction and derision upon assumptions has been in place instead

Trust you perceive that dialogue is welcome

Thanks again

Please, in case you have missed, observe that scorn has been in your side, not mine. Regretfully this has been your lot.
The wise will love any bringing reproof, but scorners bring out blot against such.
"He that reproves a scorner gets to himself shame: and he that rebukes a wicked man gets himself a blot. Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee." Pr 9
May the thermostats of love excel and prevail
So the following was not scornful?

"There are many busybodies on these threads, who in a church setting would more than likely back bite you than employing Matthew 18.. If approached about it alone, they would quickly, find another church.
The reality is that some do not have churches at all, but are addicted to this type of Social media as a substitute"

At least Paul had the guts to out people by name. You just take cheap shots at folk and make snide remarks. Look closely in the mirror, and you might just spot a Feminazi.
