Only Two Prominent Evangelicals Break with Trump

Many evangelical leaders are choosing to stand by Donald Trump even after a video of Trump was released in which the presidential candidate talks about groping and kissing women.

James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family and one of Trump’s religious advisors, said the comments were “deplorable,” but he chooses Trump over Hillary Clinton.

“I also find Hillary Clinton’s support of partial birth abortion criminal and her opinion of evangelicals to be bigoted,” he said. “There really is only one difference between the two. Mr. Trump promises to support religious liberty and the dignity of the unborn. Mrs. Clinton promises she will not.”

Robert Jeffress, senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Dallas also said the comments were “lewd,” but not enough “to make me vote for Hillary Clinton.” ...

While I sincerely hope that the allegations are false, some of this mess is Trump’s own fault. His bragging about walking in on women, what he felt he could get away with, the ways he has reffered to women, and praising and hanging out with a child molestor, all help make those alleged behaviors believeable.

I’m noticing an interesting trend in both MSM titles and private comments. The Dems are refferring to Clinton’s alleged victims as “accusers” and Trump’s alleged victims just as “victims”. The exact inverse is being done by Republicans. If it never went to trial, then the only fair thing on both sides is to view it as just an allegation, not a fact.

Christian compromises in the Church, Political, and Private spheres have brought us to this point.
It’s a sorry mess all the way around.

Ignominious, I don't think Hilary will be the "communist dictator" I do think that she will make some laws that will make our lives harder, but it will give us wisdom to prepare for rough times ahead.

I think Hillary will make the laws, plus it gives time for there to be an increasing issue, ISIS, that will attack during Hilary Clinton's term (in the USA), the true communist dictator will promise peace, prosperity, relief from trouble, bigger police control to handle the criminals and ISIS, to protect the people.

Thus creating more jobs, then said communist will will, have all the laws what Hilary made, and have the power to do lot's of damage.

My theory, but it's clearly hypothetical.

the news stories against trump are blatantly false last few days "he was a perfect gentleman" and the rape victims of bill are fearful for their lives. the church better wake up, this candidate has most votes of any republican candidate ever, still filling stadiums multiple times a day, with sound, courageous speeches.

he has used his own money, not funded by the bankers who created TPP, open borders, take down of west.

lets not forget what was done to scalia.

this election matters, and that is why the globalists mean to demoralize the evangelicals who they see as easily manipulated.

RNC spent:
2008/McCain $53 million

2012/Romney $42 million

2016/Trump $.3mill pre-candidate, $0 million after candidate

this is outrageous! going against their own candidate! unprecedented!

McCain helped create ISIS, freedom fighters, Romney ran on globalist agenda.

Trump runs on returning American sovereignty. He has challenged the system and Christians should be praying for his protection instead of lazily believing fables.

the world awaits americans getting a back bone again.

Nov 8 is America's brexit.

Each generation is more dumb and morally bankrupt than the last. Progressives control the education system, media, entertainment industry, ect, insuring legions of dumbed down liberal sycophants for years to come. Parents invest little time in their kids to offset this overdose of liberal propaganda if they dont believe it themselves. Whats this country gonna look like when millennials are running the show? It aint gonna be pretty. Unless the Lord has mercy on this country and blesses this nation with spiritual awakening, I don't see things getting better in the long run.
Amen, GS. But we need remember there is no inevitability. Every awakening begins with prayer, and previous awakenings came when the nation was at low and spiritually dark times. The Lord isn't waiting for atheists to turn from their wicked ways.

To the brethren in the U.S of A,
Donald or Hellary, um Hitlery, um Hillary,
It may not matter ,one is old and the other is old and sick, neither may see out their term if elected, look to their running mates, you may just have a man with a bible in his hands sitting in the Oval Office sooner than later...
Vote Mike Pence!!!
Proverbs1:5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:=Donald
Proverbs 1:25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:= Hellary
At least with Donald there is hope that the word of God can still guide him,
Praise the Lord

What a shame, it takes a secular source to point out the hypocrisy of some evangelicals!

Rich Lowry wrote:
Lanny Davis must be dizzy from the déjà vu.

Davis was a famously stalwart defender of Bill Clinton during the scandals of the 1990s. Little did he know that the excuses and rationalizations made for Clinton then would be repurposed by some of Clinton's harshest and most moralistic critics for a Republican presidential nominee.

Such are the gymnastics that Donald Trump requires of his most loyal evangelical backers. One day, historians will puzzle over how a man representing the mores of a debased celebrity culture became not just the nominee of the Republican Party, but the candidate of the religious right.

Falwell endorsed Trump in the primaries, apparently on the counterintuitive theory that the man with the lowest character in the field who had the least genuine conviction on social-conservative issues would best serve the interests of the religious right.

GS Montana, you said "The problem is that even if Trump is elected, we might get a short respite from the liberal madness of the last eight years, but in long run he'll only slow down the inevitable. Excellent, amen! Why should God give America anything other than what is deserving? So many want to blame the political parties or 'complacent Christians', when in fact, the blame lies on the people of this nation. Sin is rampant in America, the family is in meltdown mode, addiction is rampant as is immoral behavior. Greed and selfishness are the rule of the day. And people think Trump or Clinton can fix this? It's spiritual folks, it isn't political. Until we {generally speaking} realize this, we will continue to spin our wheels and waste time over who is the 'better' candidate. Both are equally evil!

New one, Mike, ]]http://tinyurl.com/hhwrfkr (Donald Trump Threatens to Sue The Times Over Article on Unwanted Advances), from which,
NY Times wrote:
The Times stood by the article on Thursday. ”We stand by the story, which falls clearly into the realm of public service journalism,” Eileen Murphy, a spokeswoman for The Times, said in a statement.

David McCraw, vice president and assistant general counsel of The New York Times, followed up in a letter to Mr. Kasowitz and said that the article would not be retracted.

“The women quoted in our story spoke out on an issue of national importance - indeed, an issue that Mr. Trump himself discussed with the whole nation watching during Sunday night’s presidential debate,” Mr. McCraw wrote. “It would have been a disservice not just to our readers but to democracy itself to silence their voices.”

(2Tim 3:16) @Jim Lincoln Before I denounce your opinion that America has never been a Christian nation, would you mind defining what you would consider a Christian nation to be. Just to make this painfully clear the Hillary supporters are at least as wrong and for the same reasons. Part of applying your Christian ethics to every area of life is not voting for candidates in favour of mass murder ie. abortion.
