Australians Rally Ahead Of Same-Sex Marriage Referendum
Hundreds of supporters of same-sex marriage campaigners rallied in Australia's two largest cities on Saturday against a plan to hold a public vote on the issue, concerned it would cause an increase in anti-gay comments.

Australia's centre-right coalition government introduced legislation to parliament last month to hold a public vote in February 2017 on whether to legalise same-sex unions.

However, those rallying in Melbourne and Sydney on Saturday called for parliament to legalise same-sex marriage without a plebiscite.

Advocates of same-sex marriage are concerned public debate around the vote would prove harmful to members of the LGBTI community. ...

Ya know John,

Don't you think that it is about time to identify with the universal, catholic, Body of Christ instead of always exalting the RCC?

Either you are a Christian or not. What I say to you I say also to all denominations. Either we are one or not. The foot cannot say to the head "I have no need of thee."

Where two or three are gathered in the name (character, nature, essence) of Christ reveals that he dwells among his redeemed.

Psalm 133 says that there is a commandment of life evermore. The unsaved are brought to life according to the principles Christ taught in John 17. It is the principle of unity. The world will know who Christ is.

Or perhaps John, your intention is to see if posters pass the test of knowing scripture and the truth of salvation, and to make sure the Word of God is not polluted with false teaching of any sort.

Test questions are presented in many forms to know if the one taking it is anchored in fact

All conservative Catholics want Catholics who support abortion, homosexuality, homosexual marriage and artificial birth control to be excommunicated from the Catholic Church.

It saddens me greatly, and angers me that Pell has gotten of Scott free.
It angers and sickens me when Christian imposters would even begin to defend the actions of anything or anyone when it comes to systematic rape of LITTLE CHILDREN.
Your heart is DEAD in trespass, believe, repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus, you child molesters advocate!

I see, Dave that there is only a thin line of right-thinking politicians in Australia. Many are pushing for queer marriages. In fact it looks like this prime minister wouldn't mind having queer marriages himself except for a few Christians in his coalition. ]]Stalemate could see issue off legislative agenda for years. Let us hope this obscenity is blocked in your country for years!

Frank and Dave, what always bothers me is that their dirty little secret would still be hidden well if victims hadn't finally began coming forward, which gave hundreds of others the courage to step out of the shadows as well. I get so irritated when I hear the bishops, etc, feign public outrage when I have no doubt that this was all a well known little club, from the top on down. Kind of like the person who says they're sorry for something they've done, but they're really only sorry that they got caught. Were they really sorry before that? Doubt it. Creeps.

Well said Dave! If the RCC truly stood against homosexuality and pedophilia, they would have to cease to exist. Their priesthood is full of both of these. And yes, they go to great length to protect these false Christians by ignoring or simply transferring them whenever possible.

I think the worst thing is when one of them is exposed to the public, the public thinks they represent Christianity. That blasphemes the name of Christ even more.

It's time you joined a Christian church, John.

Mike Pence would have a hard time getting any votes from these Catholics in Indiana.

Well, John UK, the ]]Muhammadans in your country would have voted against it, but the liberal "Christians," may very well not. The same might be said of Australia which is heavily Catholic/Anglican, we couldn't be guaranteed that it wouldn't pass. It would passed in at least three of our states by public ballot.

Mark 10:2 And Pharisees came up and in order to test him asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” 3 He answered them, “What did Moses command you?” 4 They said, “Moses allowed a man to write a certificate of divorce and to send her away.” 5 And Jesus said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment. 6 But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ 7 ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, 8 and they shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. 9 What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” ---ESV

Unfortunately, Anglophones have started playing fast and loose with Scripture

Referendum, eh? Not a bad idea. Our former PM would never have done that here, as he knows it would have gone against.
