Montel Williams Implores Christians to Accept LGBT Community
Following television personality Montel Williams’ address to a conservative LGBT brunch, Colorado Attorney Gen. Cynthia Coffman said she felt like she was at church.
Coffman’s speculation wasn’t far off. As Williams addressed the brunch held to promote inclusion of the LGBT community among the Republican Party less than a mile from the GOP convention, he admonished Christians to repel discrimination against anyone — especially discrimination based on a person’s sexual orientation.
“Too often we hear religious liberty used as a justification for legislative ideas that marginalize the LGBT community,” Williams, an ardent opponent of the so-called bathroom bills, said.
Williams recited Galatians 3:26-28 which declares:
Shouldn't an "LGBT community" exist as an actual entity before discussion of its acceptance as an actual entity takes place? Tell us about this community, Montel. How does a number of completely "me" oriented people get along in community? Where does this community live? What are the principles by which its members work day by day? What are the goals laid out by which its members can better their lives? I hear crickets, Montel.
Reminds me of Dr Phil who has said publicly on his show at least once that he has accepted Christ into his life, having been born again. "Accepted" isn't the issue right now, but his justification of dirty deeds is. He will be discussing homosexuality on the show and come against family members or whoever, that express how sad and troubled they are over their son or daughters lifestyle. The son or ddaughter wil be crying, saying they only want to be accepted as Dr Phil reads obscure, unrelated passages in an attempt to prove that the family members have their ideals all messed up and should be accepting of the sin and just love them instead of being bigots, etc. I just think it's astonishing how people who claim to have a relationship with God can also be so deceived, or like Montel, have Sylvia Brown on as a regular, express his bigotry, and lean so heavily towards the metaphysical while leading the ignorant down dark paths.
People are not lost because they are homosexual. They are homosexual because they are lost. I am not singling out homosexuality as worse than other sins (though the earthly consequences certainly often are). Unrepentant heterosexual fornicators and unrepentant liars, thieves, etc. will go to Hell as well. We witness to homosexuals the same way in which we witness to anyone else – by sharing the Gospel.” Justin Peters
The Gospel is the only the only answer & power from above alone, by which Christ, has chosen to save. Any from His ultimate, eternal, divine justified wrath to come on those who die in their unregenerate state of sure-pressing His truths,in acts of unrighteousness.
May the Lord remove the Vail off others to see & taste the sweet satisfying necator of Christ goodness, through the act of saving repentance in Christ alone amen.
Mr. Williams, you have no credibility in telling Christians to accept sodomite's behavior as normal and to cast aside our salvation for political expediency. The Trump train will first try to sooth our misunderstanding of sodomite behavior, with " can't we all just get along ". As Christians, our failure is equating the Christian faith as a political party and selling it to the masses as an alternative to the DNC. So, that's why we have this lecture from a pagan on how to accept sodmite behavior. Mr. Williams go work for Isis they know how to get Christians in line, and how to toss a 9 year old "sodomite" boy off a building.
The title should read "Montel Williams Implores Christians to Help the "lgbt" community to continue on their path to death" The irony is that it is the real Christians who truly care about those engaging in the sin of sodomy. True friends will tell you the truth. The enemy will let you continue on a path which leads to destruction for the sake of appearing to be "loving". Who "benefits" from Montel's speech? Montel.
SteveR, I was being sarcastic and basically calling out what was behind his statement. He is twisting scripture because he hates it. Scripture is blatantly plain about homosex. He knows that. He is just trying to trip up people.
Be careful what you quote Mr Williams....for truly all are equal in God's eyes. We are a all sin-ridden shriveled up souls deservinging NOTHING from God but His wrath.. Now, Galations was written to baptized repentant Christians. Who are still equal in God's eyes except that because they repented of their sins and believed in the Lord Jeaus as their Savior....God sees His Son covering those sun sickened souls. But one has to have both of those key ingredients to become a Christian....acknowledgement that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of your soul AND repentance of your sins. (Where repent means to turn around and do the opposite not just ask for forgiveness). Now Mr. Williams you also have to separate the LGBT individual from their sinful behavior. True Christine's do not exclude LGBT ( or divorced , or those who had abortions) from anything ... Where we draw the line is when we are asked to participate, and therefor ordain or validate, sinful behavior like same-sex marriage (the same for divorce proceedings and going to get an abortion) God says it is wrong so we don't have a choice...we can not condone it. Sorry but please get over it....or repent!!!!

He isn't even that clever. He just used the same misunderstanding of Scripture that Churches who ordain women for leadership roles and applied to the LGBT community
I read the article. First, homosexuals have rights. To throw that term around is dishonest and shows that they are not being sincere in what they are seeking. Mr. Williams has basically admitted in the article that he has come up with his own religion based on his interpretation of a few bible verses and now he is going to shepherd the rest of us. He has claimed some superiority and wisdom that no one in the last 2000yrs of Christianity has come up with. Next, why don't he go to share is interpretation and superior bible interpretation to Africa, China, India, and our friends in the Middle East. Let's see how much they embrace his revelations. I must also say that Glen Beck is for gay marriage and that is because Mormons are down with polygamy. I do think that it was practice for them to marry young girls. Correct me if I am wrong. The Blaze is Glen's publication and he wants some credibility. I only read this article since it was posted here at SA. I avoid Glen and the Kate Daly show out of Utah. She has a huge following of "Conservatives". I think the RNC this past week has clearly shown us what "Conservatism" is and it is hostile to biblical Christianity.
Yes, Nosey...one in the same. That fraud was a regular on his show, and then he went on to comercial land to endorse and hawk some really questionable products, not to mention his racial bias, etc. Unfortunately, too many so called Christians are doing just that...accepting the nonscense going on for various reasons, even pastors, church leaders, have bought into the mass deception and woe to them for deceiving even one.

Connor, it's always good to be reminded of Lot's wife. Even Jesus told us to remember her.
I believe her heart was in Sodom. She didn't want to leave it. She also did not want to obey God, who told them all not to look back. It must have been a great temptation, hearing the firebombs raining down on the city, the shrieks, the panic of the ungodly as God smashed their city to pieces, turning it to dust and ashes.
That's not loving to accept them in there sin and don't warn them of the severity of their problem. They got this all twisted. I remember something in the bible about not calling something bad good and good bad. Guess Montel missed that verse.
