Christian student expelled for opposing gay marriage
A Christian postgraduate student has been expelled from his course, effectively ending his chances of a career as a social worker, for voicing opposition to gay marriage in a Facebook discussion.
Felix Ngole, a 38-year-old father of four, expressed support for Kim Davis, the county clerk from Kentucky in the US who was jailed for refusing to issue marriage licences after the introduction of same-sex unions in September last year.
He argued that homosexual activity is against the teaching of the Bible, quoting a verse from Leviticus describing it as an "abomination"....
Dave wrote: God bless you bro John , how are you old mate? And lets not forget Philippians 2
G'day brother, old is correct, but some folks in our fellowship reckon I'm still a youngster!
Oh yea, Philippians:
Philippians 2:8-11 KJV (8) And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. (9) Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: (10) That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; (11) And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. HALLELUJAH!! And glory to God!!
Dave wrote: Love you brother John uk and God bless. I do understand your train of thought somewhat I think, By the scripture you quoted we can see that our behaviour as beloved needs to be exemplary, Not hypocritical. But the reprobate unsaved of the world are sinful and evil by nature, yes we should be living holy examples but we're not to blame for their un righteousness wouldn't you agree brother?
Think on this, Bro Dave:
Ezekiel 33:8 KJV (8) When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Ezekiel 3:18 KJV (18) When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Acts 20:26 KJV (26) Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
It is our joy and duty to tell all men and women that they should turn from their wicked ways. Isaiah 55:6-7
This is so important! But the church at large is fast asleep in Zion.

In one sense true GS, in another sense......
Romans 2:22-24 KJV (22) Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? (23) Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? (24) For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
1 Timothy 6:1 KJV (1) Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.
Titus 2:3-5 KJV (3) The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; (4) That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, (5) To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
Ladybug, you are so off the mark and are in sin to be stating such in regards to what I said when I used the word "we". Now would you like to call me a liar and try to convince me that you know better what I meant than I do?

Yes, all this seems to be the case.
Mr. Peter Masters on 'Explaining Ezekiel's River of Life' relates indirectly to the issue in question http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=225161032369
You might enjoy his presentation perhaps.
Sadly sometimes as Christians we tend to fall in similar traps as the one Christ denounced in Luk 11:42 "ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: *these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone*" Christ pointed out that both things should be taken on board, not one only.
Quite often we display 'unbalanced tendencies' emphasising a wing of the truth at the expence of the other. When this happens misunderstanding, misrepresentation, and quarrels follow, which often deviate into insult, or, sometimes, into aggresive offensive/defensive attitudes .... (Disclaimer: please, this is not personal; the statement should be taken as speaking in general terms)
Dave wrote: G'day John y, You are correct that God abhors homosexuality, and what are the first two commandments again?
First Commandment states not to have any other god besides the One True God. Second Commandment states not to bow down to or pray to graven images(It is not in violation of the Second Commandment to simply own graven images if one does not bow down to them or pray to them)
Hi brother, society needs the Christian voice in this. To go silent is to turn our backs on the lost and the innocent. Its the easy way out for the church.
It doesn't matter if we "turn the boat around" or not, we have to be a voice of truth and love in the name of Jesus Christ.
I heard a Christian recently making reference to a few atheists saying that we need a Christian perspective. I meet non Christians in different lines of work who see the socialist/humanist model failing, they live in it everyday.
If Christian leaders want to be in denial and say this is just the beginning, I will ask them this, what has my generation endured? my generation, a large portion was aborted, our children, large portion ill from effects of medicine and food, I've seen men/families in all parts of US who have lost jobs to foreigners... etc etc.
and I meet some who are sheltered, they know little of this, and why?? because Christians aren't talking.
I agree with that sister. That is the work of God. However, I see things today being the result of man being left to his own devices. Spiritual awakenings are contingent upon Gods will, so it seems to me that it just isn't his will to turn things around right now.
Judge Roy Moore has tried to support Alabama law that is traditional marriage (as he has been appointed by the people to do) and even the people of the state voted for traditional marriage, but when supreme court made edict of which they have no authority in constitution to do, Russell Moore of Ethics at SBC came up against him.
Title: Southern Baptist ethicist says Alabama judges must uphold gay marriage law or resign
it seems that when Christians actually act on their conscience, and are a power for good, even to obey the constitutional law, there's some "Christian expert" to stop them....
the irony is that Judge Moore is doing just that, obeying the law and fulfilling his obligations. does anyone wonder why God is having to go to non Christain community to speak the truth? 501c3 leaders, many are compromised.
