Evangelical Alliance: Parents - not the state - responsible for child's education
Parents – not the state – should be the ultimate authority regarding a child's education, according to the Evangelical Alliance.

"As the tax-paying funders of education, it is parents who are primarily responsible for the way that children are educated," said Dr David Landrum, director of advocacy for the EA and the author of a new resource released today.

"It's important to remember that the state is only there to maintain our school system," he said.

The report, 'You're not alone: a guide for the Christian family in education,' observed that churches need to do far more in helping parents engage with their children's education. ...

Maybe if it was sung real slow and each instrument did a long solo?

I don't know about the stoveless/ovenless rental units, telling people they must grill outside if they want to eat, but with the money coming in from probably sold out tours and number one albums and singles, I guess it won't matter if they take time to be rented out.
G'day Christopher,
John only has one song written thus far, and he's been singing it to us for almost a decade. All together now....

Jesus won't look at which church one attended.....
Say what you will I'll not be offended....

To do a tour, you need at least 90 minutes of material.

Very good idea; something that even public schools might say, but in reality, the parents will say, 'I'm so busy working and keeping up things around the house--who has time to do all this!'

Reality Check: very few parents home school their children, so this is not a Big Issue.

Besides, when those kids go to college, they will find professors who are 99 percent liberals, and will be instilled with the liberal views dominant today.

Remember--there are more liberals in the US than conservatives, more Democrats than Republicans. Thus, so many Republican party leaders have been saying, how can we get a candidate that will get liberal voters or independent voters to vote for us?

Thus, the same people say, let's not oppose the President on Obamacare/etc because it will offend those liberal voters who we hope to get to vote for us one day.

UPS, I think he also wanted to marry a nurse -- she'll have to be more than 18 to do that.

Many of Unprofitable Servant's comments to John were right on target, pity John Y., you didn't pay attention to what he said.

Old commie, so you want no control of child abuse? Now that's not surprising. You want children not even able to read the Bible? Now that's not surprising either. You want children to be completely immoral, still not surprising. It's not surprising the state wants functional citizens at least, and that is just about all the article that I put up argues for.

Home schooling can be very good and I have said so in the past, ]]http://tinyurl.com/zay3gto (Meet the 'Brainy Bunch,' family with 7 kids in college by age 12) Children have rights old commie, but then only unborn children have rights according to you, and after they are born they have none

G'day John yurich, hope your well mate, do you play in a country gospel band? If so I would love to hear some of your music. God bless
Dave, trying to do this from memory.

Unless something has changed, John Yurich, not his real name, is an unemployed mid 50 year old man. He is very shy, so he would not sing in the band, just play an instrument. This band, which is not formed yet, will bypass the standard way in which musicians make the big stage (submitting recordings, having an agent, paying fees, getting play time on the radio) and thus make John a multi-millionaire. His band will always give the gospel and have an invitation at the end of the concert. He will take his funds and by a large ranch (I think that was in Colorado, but could be wrong) where he will marry an eighteen year old Catholic girl, in a Catholic wedding and they will have 10 kids, who he will raise as Catholic. John will make additional money by selling or renting houses with no stove or range because people should cook outside on the grill.
Someone, with a better memory than mine (not hard to have) could probably fill in more details, and JY can correct what he wishes as it is his dream.

When I get married and have children the children will be homeschooled in the one room schoolhouse on the farm or in the tour bus when the Country Music/Country Gospel Band goes on the road touring around the United States.

homeschooling is still an option here, although there's always many wanting to end it.

right now the controversy is that HSLDA seems to be backing Cruz's bill for accounts for homeschooling kids and all children.

as one mother points out in the article below, this would mean that common core regulations would be applied to the child instead of the school and would then be applied to ALL children and would follow there wherever may be. in other words Jim's dream here of state ownership of children wherever they go.

so the homeschool community itself needs to have a discussion on how these things are being implemented because there seems to be some disagreement on this.

Title: Ted Cruz, Common Core, Homeschooling and Proposed S-306 Bill

http://www.newswithviews.com/Hoge/anita124.htm

"His Scary Federal Education “Choice” as a Civil Right, His Fake Repeal of Common Core, and His Phony Support of Homeschools Revealed."

(course Trump simply says bring control out of feds, ie common core, back to local level, as he might have power to do, and the point is that homeschool just left alone, and this is the constitional approach because dep of ed was never constitutional)

Your link is not issued from a State. There is no proper international interest in children's rights, since most of the international "community" sees them as chattel. You do not see the contradiction for the UN, which is composed primarily of looneys who have no interest in rights at all, to put forth a document about the rights of children?

Not sure what ya mean Jim?
Sure the state needs to uphold basic human rights. But as you know, all to often that governance and power is abused and used against citizens that are say trying to educate against homosexuality , feminism, and hire long before it's basically state endorsed religion having to be taught in homes?
Lord bless mate

Barbara Bennett Woodhouse wrote:
Defining Children’s Rights Within the Family
Before attempting to resolve this puzzle, let me address a threshold question. What do we mean by “children’s rights within the family?” The United Nations Convention on the Right s of the Child provides some guidance. Children’s rights within the family are a variation on the theme of children’s basic rights under the Convention. Children have a right to have their basic needs met – including their needs for food, clothing, medical care and housing. They have a right to be educated and trained for independent citizenship. They have a right to a name and family identity and to preservation of family ties. They have a right to freedom of thought. They have a right to develop a religious life. They have a right to bodily integrity and to be protected from harsh treatment and exploitation. Government and the family share in the duty of assuring that these and other rights are respected and fulfilled.

Amen to that, I say let's pray for the system to be overhauled.
It seems so much more difficult to homeschool in the usa.?
Kids should be taught to pray and sings psalms to the Lord the minute they start talking.
Lord bless.
