Anglicans Fearing Permanent Split Over Gay Marriage

The issue of gay marriage is threatening to split apart the Anglican Communion ahead of an important summit in Canterbury in England next week, with African and Asian leaders threatening to walk out on Archbishop Justin Welby.

Mail Online reported that Welby is preparing for a "make of break" effort at the summit in order to keep the Anglican churches together despite disagreements over homosexuality.

Although Welby and the Church of England have remained opposed to the legalization of gay marriage, a number of bishops within the Anglican Communion, including American church leaders as part of the Episcopal tradition, have backed the practice. ...

The episcopal church in the United States had its candle was blown out decades ago. It is only appropriate that the mother church of Great Britain own flickering flame do the same.

The Church of England and the Anglican communion have long since given up the Word of God and the obedience of God's people. Sodom and Gomorrah have taken over the Anglicans and brought them to a worldly heart and reprobate mind. Just as God's Holy Spirit and grace no longer fills their pews and pulpits the true believer finds no communion with these perverse Liberals. Roman Catholics took the road bound for hell and the Anglicans have followed suit.

Anglicans prove that Liberalism is a poison to all authority, doctrines and obedience, by abandoning the Bible and seeking to be men-pleasers they reject God and His Son. Apparently they would prefer to appease sinners of the abomination than serve God. The choice is theirs and hell awaits the foolish.

Jude 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. 8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

The publication claimed that insiders believe eight to 12 conservative archbishops are even planning to walk out of the meeting, unless their most liberal counterparts agree to "repent" for their support of gay marriage.

Well it would appear that these conservative Anglicans simply want someone to mouth words so they can keep everyone marching to the same drumbeat. If a person thinks that it is even possible for a Christian to support homosexual conduct then they cannot be saved, so why would someone ask an unsaved person to repent? Does everyone realize just how RCC that is? Repenting must be unto the Lord to have merit; not simply to keep the peace. This is a good example of what a dummied down gospel is where behavior trumps doctrine. I would denounce and separate from anyone who even entertained this thought process. My opinion is these Anglicans, the conservative and liberals noted should repent of all their sins and throw themselves at the mercy of the cross for forgiveness.

My thoughts also turned to scripture that talks about a great falling away and the love of many will grow cold. The song, " The Midnight Cry" came to mind also. So to the wheat and sheep in God's fold this is prophecy being fulfilled and the reality of Jesus's soon coming.
I did jump boat when I sensed the errors of one liberal chuches'sr beliefs..pastor that defied Mary as being a virgin but because that's what the Jews were watching for it had to said she was. What kind of faith building church would allow scripture to be twisted and the miracles explained away. So true, John, without a vision the people perish, is a scripture that came to mind. Those wonderful men of God gives us faith and hope and blessings that's not always heard in today's churches.

They've got no John Ryle, George Whitefield or John and Charles Wesley to keep the boat from sinking. I should think that any evangelical believer would have jumped ship by now. It's going down.

The true church,members of the
Body of Christ will be hopefully separating themselves from any denomination that does against God , divorce was acceptable many years ago in mainstream churchs. The revival began with the reformation and I believed ended in the early 20th cent.
I truly believe we're experiencing a falling away, an apostate time in the so called Christianeese church, look up,
