Starting tomorrow: a Christmas present for WORLD members from John R. Erickson, author of 66 Hank the Cowdog books.
We will run one chapter every day (except Sundays) through New Year’s Day from an unpublished Hank book, The Case of the Homeless Pooch. The book, which will remain online for one month, tells how Hank grew up, met cowboy Slim Chance, and found a new home as head of ranch security for Loper and Sally May.
The 66 books in the Hank series have sold more than 9 million copies worldwide and received critical acclaim. Former first lady Laura Bush said in 2013, ‚ÄúOne of my favorite memories is when George and I used to read the Hank the Cow Dog books to the girls. ‚Ķ Those books are hilarious and they are fun to read aloud.‚ÄĚ...
GS, just wondering if you knew the people who owns a Bed and Breakfast in Jefferson? Reason for asking is that I had a friend whose son own's one there if this is the same town that has a horse drawn carriage you can take rides in. His last name would be Lewis and he has a son. Beautiful town with quaint shops and all. Would love to go there sometime.
GS, I think that it's meant to be in the "spirit of giving" that is reserved for this one time of the year. They're supposed to be treating the members to a reading from it as a bonus. Then they don't have to concern themselves with ideas of generosity the rest of the year.
