Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, and their generics are among the most commonly prescribed antidepressants in the U.S. Research now suggests taking them during pregnancy may increase the chances your child will have autism.
Autism spectrum disorder—a developmental condition characterized by trouble communicating and speaking—is estimated to affect 1.5 percent to 2 percent of U.S. children, depending on how it's measured, according to the Centers for Disease Control. Meanwhile, about 11 percent of Americans over the age of 12 take antidepressants, according to the latest data from the CDC.
A study published Monday in JAMA Pediatrics lends insight into one factor that may influence rising rates of autism spectrum disorder, including Asperger syndrome. Only a few other studies have examined links to antidepressants and pregnancy—the latest from the University of Montreal is the largest of its kind....
Title: If vaccines don't cause brain damage, why is GlaxoSmithKline paying out $63 Million to vaccine victims?
"About 80 percent of those affected have been children, but GSK continually turned a blind eye. Even when a study came out showing that vaccinated children where 13 times more likely to develop narcolepsy, the company didn’t admit any link."
You know, that is so sad. Most of the time, she is not upset with him and I never knew until that day that her son was austic. It seems he watched something he was warned not to, but was somehow caught doing and I didn't ask for details, I felt so helpless because I couldn't understand really. How sad.
Dolores wrote: I just got a glimpse into what having an austic child was like.
yes you have sister.
that's part of it.
another is suffering some endure, such as horrible headaches that don't go away. these things often start after "the visit" and that night they go into symptoms that show brain inflammation. such as screaming, arching back, convulsions, blacking out, high fever.
then over a number of days they can lose cognitive function. can't speak anymore. can't walk.
with the gardsl its guillane barre type stuff, so by morning they can't walk, lose muscle function, that's the link I was showing from Denmark showed their stories. its forbidden in US for these stories to be told on MSM, but foreign countries are on it, and their nations will respond when many children injured in a campaign. here, no response.
so parents are left day and night to deal with it.
and so it goes on.
and families that deny medical issues, wow, that can get awful. so kid stops eating because they are sick, instead of dealing with it, go to a "behaviorist" who calls it "anorexia", and before you know it they are on a feeding tube.
Be sweet, that was a really interesting comment you posted and I agree. That's something I try to watch and to just comment and leave it there for others who might be interested. Striving to wait, wonderful comment. The salon I go to has a woman that works there with an austic boy. Went in one time and she looked so bad, hair messy, no make up and acting strange, not her usual self. I finally asked her if she was ok and she started crying and said her son had had a melt down because she took his ipad as punishment for not obeying her. He proceeded to cuss her and spit on her and her mother took up the fight against her which made things even worse. We let her know that we cared with our hugs and all. Didn't call her names or tell her she did the wrong thing, just listened and gave her hugs. I just got a glimpse into what having an austic child was like.
b. sweet, how dare you introduce logic Don't introduce facts! we already know what we think
Oh, well, women, they might as well figure if they want healthy babies they are going to be miserable through their pregnancy. In fact there might even be doubt about coffee! This is why a woman should be married when having kids, she can have a hubby to distract her, until she delivers the bundle of joy.
By the way, a good book for Christians on logic,]]http://www.amazon.com/Come-Let-Us-Reason-Introduction/dp/0801038367 (Come, Let Us Reason: An Introduction to Logical Thinking) The writers are Christian, which is not the case with almost all secular logic books. (that's not including functional cases of neurological/brain damage) and the statistic is growing exponentially. there are families that regularly post here on SA that have autistic children, are they ever asked how it affects their lives? just not real for those not taking care of children. the docs just drug them up. they are used to being drugged up as a generation. I've seen families get their kids back through other kinds of care. my conscience is clear.
Many family, friend, church interactions with autism (on wide range) diet, patience, prayer , non-med type treatments have worked in my experience.
We can learn from the family of faith: don't want to miss a blessing.
Mt.12:47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. 12:48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? 12:49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother."

Description: Attacking the person making the argument, rather than the argument itself, when the attack on the person is completely irrelevant to the argument the person is making.
Person 1 is claiming Y.
Person 1 is a moron.
Therefore, Y is not true.
My opponent suggests that lowering taxes will be a good idea -- this is coming from a woman who eats a pint of Ben and Jerry’s each night!
Explanation: The fact that the woman loves her ice cream, has nothing to do with the lowering of taxes, and therefore, is irrelevant to the argument. Ad hominem attacks are usually made out of desperation when one cannot find a decent counter argument. ----

And we should listen to pennned, Pennnelope because................? John UK accuses some of the sisters on here of taking to Internet chat rooms to teach theology to the poor dabs...looks like we got one trying to diagnose all of our diseases, look for commies behind every bush, and let's not forget Benghazi...

autism is quack science? only confirmation. parents have been silent too long.
here's the proper response to a generation of children being poisoned....
mayor declares state of emergency when they discover lead in the water and test it in children's blood.
"According to the World Health Organization, “lead affects children’s brain development resulting in reduced intelligence quotient (IQ), behavioral changes such as shortening of attention span and increased antisocial behavior, and reduced educational attainment. Lead exposure also causes anemia, hypertension, renal impairment, immunotoxicity and toxicity to the reproductive organs. The neurological and behavioral effects of lead are believed to be irreversible.”

and denying this epidemic and the suffering is "compassion"?
ignorance has its effects, denial certainly does and it must be challenged.
if these children are not ill, then when Joey is screaming from headaches, with all the signs of brain swelling, starts drooling and his eyes lose focus after his shot from "imaginary autism", then its really a behavior problem?
and the parents are judged.
and they are. people giving them dirty looks, why can't you get your screaming kid with his headaches and poisoing of the brain under better behavior?
I figure, if these parents are going to be judged harshly, then so we can also judge the judgers.

pretty pathetic, but admittedly common among our elder generation.
leads to the ostracation of parents in great need.
Dolores, interesting, I had no idea how trendy radiation was! Wow, then they moved into antibiotics with the same fervor and we are now in the age of superbugs, so today its steroids for everything. you know steroids lowers the immune system? not good if people have infections, course they like to call everything "genetic" -- and then get their eugenics research money. what a racket, there are parents and professionals that are saving these autistic kids, but mainstream would have to change everything they do, finding "cause" is not within their parameters.

I remember a time in the 1950s when radiation was used to treat acne and later in years it caused cancer of the throat and thyroid. They used it for every thing from acne to bad tonsils. I remember having severe acne but no radiation for it and being so thankful because of these reported cancers maybe coming from these treatments in their teen years.
