Franklin Graham Slams NY Daily's Claim: 'God Isn't Fixing This'
The Rev. Franklin Graham has slammed The New York Daily News' front cover declaring that "God isn't fixing this" in the wake of Wednesday's mass shooting in California, and argued that prayer is "direct access" to God.

"They have the audacity to criticize politicians who had publicly offered prayers and asked for God's comfort following the killings, calling them 'cowards who could truly end gun scourge.' Shame on them!" Graham posted on his Facebook page Thursday night.

"I hope New Yorkers stop buying that paper! It's evident that this group is bashing the importance of prayer in order to promote their own gun control agenda. Here's some 'news' for the NY Daily News — prayers are not 'meaningless platitudes' as they say on their cover," he added.

"Prayer is direct access to Almighty God and is the most powerful tool a Christian has. Prayer does make a difference in heartbreaking situations ...

Well that statement above does not apply to everybody. I have not gone back to believing the unscriptural Catholic doctrines and the unscriptural parts to the Mass since embracing Jesus as Savior and Lord and I never will go back to believing the unscriptural Catholic doctrines and the unscriptural parts to the Mass.

sc, Of course I am aware the church is not a man made building but are those who are saved in Jesus.

God’s instruction to those who find themselves in apostate churches teaching a false gospel is to get out.

Come out of her, my people, that you may not participate in her sins and that you may not receive of her plagues; for her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. —Revelation 18:4-5

For anyone, therefore, to advise a born-again Catholic to remain in the Church and try to change it is to exhibit an appalling lack of understanding of the commands of God, the nature of the Roman Catholic Church, and the needs of a new believer. Newly born-again Christians need nurturing and the "pure milk of the word" (1 Peter 2:2), not the half-truths, lies, and the confusion of Roman Catholicism. They need the fellowship of like-minded believers. They need to be part of a church in which they can worship God free of idolatry and false sacrifice.

excerpt from, ]]Staying in Hope of Changing the Church

John, it is plain that you are not interested in changing the Roman Church - - but you are misleading others by staying in it, and that is a sin also.

There is a flaw in your statement that we are who we associate and align ourselves with because I totally reject and repudiate the unscriptural Catholic doctrines and the unscriptural parts to the Mass. I agree that since there are some unscriptural Catholic doctrines and some unscriptural parts to the Mass that the Catholic Church is partially deceived by Satan. But that does not mean it is a synagogue of Satan.
sc, I am saved because I embraced Jesus as my Savior and Lord during an Altar Call at my brother's Non Denominational Church and I trust entirely in Jesus alone for salvation. I don't oppose Evangelical Protestants because I embrace the Evangelical Protestant doctrine of salvation that salvation comes only through trusting in Jesus alone for salvation. Just because I don't attend an Evangelical Church doesn't mean I oppose.

I know, SC, but I feel like I need to keep at it, for now anyway. I get the impression that some things just aren't clicking, through no fault of his own. For all I know, I could also be being taken for a ride. I fully understand the other side with the troll, etc, comments, but I'm trying not to take that route just yet.

Therein lies one of my major issues and arguments, GS. Nobody can possibly believe that unless there's something else going on that's keeping them from understanding. Seems to me that somewhere along the line, John either misunderstood someone or someone he trusts gave him bad information that he hasn't been able to break free from.
I can't think of any reason for him not to listen to others though, especially when they use God's own Word as their guide to refute and/or prove this and that.
I don't know. I'm not sure where I'm at with all this...

There are many Baptist Ministers who correctly preach the RCC is a synagogue of satan. According to John's convoluted logic, he would have to agree, but he wont. He will come up with some more convoluted logic as to how all Baptist preachers are perfect in doctrine, but not when they preach against Catholicism.

Nice try,Christopher.I think that it might be falling on deaf ears.Maybe this guy gets some kind of perks for having so many responses...or maybe he's only a "test". I'm sure that many on here would probably testify to him trying their patience,at the very least.
Maybe it would help John out to qualify terms. Those who are saved in Christ are the church. It's not a man made building.
If John was saved,he wouldn't oppose evangelicals.

Thanks John, I understand that, but the entire issue rests upon doctrine For instance, if I visited or regularly attended a Baptist church, for example, and what they taught didn't fall in line with God's Word, I couldn't, in good conscience, remain there or ever return. Now, I understand that there will be minor nuances from church to church with none of them being perfect, but we're talking about fatal doctrines here; doctines which are diametrically opposed to and in serious conflict with what God very clearly teaches. From these churches, no matter what the denomination, or whatever, I would run.and never look back.

Christopher, Nowhere in the Bible is church attendance in any church let alone an Evangelical Protestant Church mentioned as being required for salvation. So even if a Catholic who has embraced Jesus as their Savior and Lord and trusts in Him alone for salvation does not leave the Catholic Church and does not unite with an Evangelical Protestant Church they will still enter Heaven because they fulfilled the only requirement for salvation and that is they trust in Jesus alone for salvation. I call myself a Catholic and a Christian because I attend the Catholic Church.

John, your incessant trumpeting for, and defense of the Roman Catholic religious machine speaks volumes given all you know about all of the "one true churches" many fatal doctrines which have led, are leading, and will lead multitudes to their destruction. No truly born again Christian, especially with the knowledge you have, could possibly remain within such a diabolical, anti-God, anti-Christ system unless something was very, very wrong. To topit all off, you proudly call youself Roman Catholic, identifying yourself with the false, spiritually destructive system, and constantly defend them be cause they believe in the God of the bible.

John Yurich.

[14] Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? [15] And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? [16] And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in [them]; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. [17] Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you, [18] And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. (2Co 6:14-18)

Well parrot, for starters the above verse 18 is dependent on verses 14-17; especially verses 16 and 17.

Now, since you attend the RCC, according to your own testimony, you are not a son of the most high. That is your testimony and I only posted this for the occasional viewer who "might" be confused by your comment.

Now since you are also defending someone who believes that the Muslim god is also our God, then that simply adds another aspect to your apostasy.

You should ponder this comment very carefully

Now let’s see, we have someone who states that his God is the God of the RCC and of course the RCC believes that since there is only one God, then their God is the same God that Islam worships. So we have someone who probably isn’t saved and who worships a false God criticizing others who don’t acknowledge the real God of scripture. Do I have this wrong? This is of course a rhetorical question.
The doctrinal issues that surround FG are not minor or inconsequential. They are the basis of the Christian faith. My Lord and Savior is of the same essence as my heavenly Father so what these people are doing is saying my Lord and Savior is somehow connected to these false Gods.
I know I probably shouldn't have raised this issue, but I did it solely for the casual reader who stops by or for those who are confused and post on these threads. And besides, truth is always loving and gracious.
Graham is an ordained Baptist minister who has always preached the biblical doctrine of salvation that salvation comes only through trusting in Jesus alone for salvation. So Graham's doctrinal beliefs are biblical. The RCC has always worshiped Jesus as God and therefore has always worshiped the God of the Bible.

Did Franklin Graham say anything when the Pope visited and gave speeches to Congress and the UN calling for a new world order for the preservation of our ecological system? (I.E. UN Agenda 21 or modern day equivalent)? Don't think I heard him say anything about that.
