Alabama city is now considering banning mini-skirts and short shorts
After first proposing an ordinance banning saggy pants, the Dadeville City Council is now considering banning short shorts and mini-skirts.

Dadeville City Councilwoman Stephanie Kelley said it shouldn't just be men who are singled out on their attire.

"My concern is it should be for everybody," Kelley said during Tuesday's council meeting, the Alex City Outlook reported. "I think for the girls, with these shorts up so high looking like under garments and dresses so short, I don't want us to be showing favoritism." ...

yes, pass it! Finally someone with some sense. The immoral immodesty out there has passed a dangerous point. It's not comfortable to even go out in public anymore for fear of what you might see.

Although I 100% agree to this ordinance and wish it'd be administered here in TN as well, I feel like they will be met with resistance and have a hard time passing it due to people's "rights."

Yes,Diane,people would have been arrested for wearing such.This kind of immodest apparel used to be worn by prostitutes. Now parents buy these kind of clothes for their daughters and for themselves.
It's good to see that someone is setting some standards. Now,if only churches would follow suit.

sounds good to me. Hate to be in the town if they get protest similar to what happened in NYC when they complained about more blatant indecency. I would be stunned if it passed, especially because they would have to define how short is short for skirts and shorts and then enforcement would be an issue. But I like the idea
