Women should dress modestly or expect to ‘entice a rapist’ – claims singer Chrissie Hynde
Women who walk around drunk and provocatively dressed should expect to be sexually assaulted, Chrissie Hynde, the lead singer of the Pretenders, has suggested.

The former chart topper claimed in a Sunday newspaper interview that scantily clad women were likely to “entice a rapist” and that it is their “fault” if they are attacked.

She discloses in a new memoir how she was abducted and sexually assaulted by a motorcycle gang in Ohio in the early 1970s – but concludes it was “all my doing” because of the way she was dressed and the fact that she was under the influence of drugs.

She also claimed that pop stars who call themselves feminists but use their sex appeal to sell records were effectively just “prostitutes”. ...

The rude language and tone from others is generally speaking, and the homebirth haters did not rail on me here because I never mentioned it. But outside of SA it is common for such rudeness and fearmongering toward anyone who refuses a religious State-run hospital birth. Plenty of inappropriate rudeness about the satanic vaccines and drugs on SA though, especially from psycho's like Jim Lincoln. And plenty of mockery too about anything that's not pro-State religion or politically correct, just look below at the quack statement. It's normal to call healers quacks, but when I call your typical Allopath a quack, then I'm mean and a bad guy and always negative blah blah. Some will say breastfeeding is sexual abuse or indecent, so why can't I accuse the formula feeders of abuse and neglect and threaten to call "CPS"? If home schoolers are called terrorists, why can't I call State schoolers terrorists?

So basically, I simply use the same language against those who use such language against me and others who don't conform to their strange religious beliefs. Get it?

Subjects like this one become controversial when people refuse to take responsibility for their own actions. This particular subject is especially controversial because it is PC charged from the start.

"from a man"...wrong!
I would have phrased the sentence the same way if I was referring to either gender or any age group...sorry that you find it necessary to read more into it.
I already gave the reason why I like to limit personal information on such a forum.
And I don't feel that women are inferior.

your wording did you in. If you had said, I would think that a woman would be uncomfortable, or if I were a woman I would not be comfortable or even just, woman walking in the mall wouldn't be comfortable, then you could claim that you did not give your gender away.

But you said, I...as a woman.

No man would use those words, except a transgender and no one thinks you are a transgender.

Also, no is fooled into not realizing you are a woman, see Lurker's comment. Paul used the words as a child because he had been one not because he imagined being one.

The question would then arise, why are you not comfortable posting as a woman? It is clear from your posts that you are one. Lots of woman post here and are highly respected. The only one that thinks what you say is diminished because you are a woman is you.

Good comment, SF. People seem to tend to choose one side or the other, all in or all out. Whatever side they choose to fight alongside with becomes the be all and end all of everything they believe as everything on the opposite side, no matter what it is, becomes hoaxified in their minds. Like you inferred, there is a middle ground where many times, both sides are just plain wrong, the one you fight against happens to be right, etc. There is so much disinformation, so much quackery, and just plain lies from all ends at any given time that we really have to be fair in doing our due diligence. I think that too often, people are given over to believe certain things they hear or read, and go with it because it sounds convincing without ever doing any honest research. This isn't really about milk, but a general observation.

well, brilliant one, keep on posting from the money changers that promote abortion, evolution and the chemical model. it shows the contrast. yet we have brother here that provides the biblical model of what Adam is to provide so that Eve can raise her children... that should be commended. it is families like these that are keeping the birthrate up as the rest fall to low birth numbers due to the fallout of modernism (nanny state) and an economy based on filthy lucre and not the land. gates openly says he wants to bring down world population as close to zero as possible.... through reproductive services and shots. anyone with a brain (I do not recommend snopes users for this task) should look at the antifertility connections to the shots, this is open information now. I wonder why the modern world keeps dying off but the muslems are having so many kids? probably just our own judgment.

well, its a whole litany of things. but hey, depleted uranium, "ok", raw milk to be cultured with nutrional levels higher than the processed due to keeping of enzymes and the health of the animal??? anathema!! "evil" come on mothers, give them the hormone milk so that the girls go into puberty in the single digits! that is health?? and there isn't a war on motherhood, eh?

If it walks like a duck, really? Raw milk is bad and unsafe? Yes I'm sure the land flowing with milk and honey was flowing with pasteurized milk. And um a cow standing in a field in it's own feces.....that, my friend, is commercial farming. That article needed a little more discernment. before posting as truth. You have quacks and greedy folks on both sides of the coin.

Thanks for the explanation. Would you be so kind as to show any comment in any thread here where anybody accused you and your wife of endangering your child by having a simple birth at home? Maybe even more general, any comments where people condemned anybody's choice to have a birth at home?

thank you sister SF for your valuable information. I've heard that the social groups that are in "danger" of hep b are drug users and prostitutes. great way to start things off, eh? (and if they aspired to be such when they grow up, they'd have to get the regiment all over again -- ridiculous!)

The language and tone I used here and at other times is exactly the same language and tone that is used against myself, other believers, and unbelievers who go against the grain and do not conform to certain religious beliefs. It's ok to dish it out, but when I and others strike back with the bold truth in the same manner then we get all this hissy fit, boo-hoo nonsense!

It happens every day: cowards out there anonymously calling "CPS" on people who:

homebirth, homeschool, unschool, don't vaccinate, don't circumcise, refuse pharmaceuticals, drink raw milk, eat healthy food, don't watch tv, live off grid, live simple, object to Statism, etc.

People who believe and live like this are considered by the conformists to be bad and a threat to their precious "society" (the world in scripture) and are mocked and called all sorts of names. Many are simply destroyed in various ways, imprisoned, and have their children stolen.

If people, mostly so-called Christians, want to accuse me and my wife of endangering the lives of mom and baby for having simple births at home like it used to be and like it's done all over the earth, then I equally have the right to accuse others of the same who birth in a hospital. Mourner, off topic and totally the parents choice but it is untrue that they only recieve the vitamin k shot (which is unnecessary). Newborns recieve gel on their eyes to prevent blindness from stds....all mothers, regardless of being positive or negative for std, are treated the same with the gel on their babies eyes. Hep B shot is also given and sometimes antibiotics if the mother tested positive for the bacteria strep b regardless if baby shows signs of having strep b pnemuia. Of course opting out of these is an option but can cause problems.

US, it is best to refrain from a reply. I too was tempted. To the best of my knowledge a healthy new born receives only Vitamin K in the hospital as the blood clotting mechanisms take 8 days to be established and that is why the Scripture commanded circumcision of males on the 8th day in the OT.

How frail is all life. Truly whether any believe it or not, it is only in Christ we all live and move and have our being.

Psalm 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Desiring the desire of all the godly upon their posterity, I have found the following series of sermons very helpful and commend then to you all. It is a series on the 10 Commandments and it has been quite heart searching and helpful.

I will never forget the night that God spared the life of my 20 year old son. While in the surgical waiting room with a large group of family and friends; after one of the young men read from Ecclesiastes chapter 7; the 5th Commandment and its violations were confessed in prayer. There was none of us, young or old that it did not concern.

In the best interest of all families I submit a sample from the series http://www.sermonaudio.com/playpopup.asp?SID=513141240465 concerning the 5th Commandment.

See 1 Tim 2:8-15 as it is related to the article and this commandment.
