Shooter Kills TV News Crew on Live TV
A gunman believed to have shot and killed a WDBJ-TV 7 journalist and cameraman during their live broadcast at Bridgewater Plaza in Moneta, Virginia, on Wednesday morning reportedly shot himself along Interstate 66, while fleeing police. He died at about 1:30 p.m. at a hospital of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Franklin County Sheriff Bill Overton told reporters.

ABC News reported that it received a fax containing a 23-page manifesto from someone named Bryce Williams, according to a tweet. The document was handed over to investigators, ABC said. The network posted a short story reporting some of the manifesto’s contents. They show Flanagan alleging that he had been the victim of bullying and discrimination because he is gay and black.

He also said that he was compelled to respond to Dylann Roof’s massacre at a Charleston, South Carolina, church in June and he was inspired by Seung Hui Cho, who ...

How about making a scourge of small cords and going into any buildng that says church?

I am sorry to interrupt the discussion (on a thread about innocent people being gunned down of all things) please forgive me.
I am in the process of doing something I haven't done in my evangelism so far, and would beg your prayers (Protection, Favor, Open doors/hearts)
I have made a small simple wooden cross that I plan on from time to time carry and walk the streets here locally alone even though it would be great/better to have someone go with me (with literature etc, on me to give away: Toda, it is a 2 page pring of AW Tozer's "The OLD Cross and the New") with the goal/desire to be able to talk with people who might otherwise be uninterested.
Please do pray for me however the Sprit leads you to, especially for my attitude and wisdom in listening to those who come up to talk.
Thank you all so much!

Oh, sounds like a big cross then, Michael. What are its dimensions? You said it was small, but doesn't sound so small.

Christopher000 if you and I lived in the same area I would be honored to have you come with me.

Just so you know, I did call a friend I used to attend Church with me to go with me. And for a first, pretty much a 'dry run' we had a good time and figured out some logistics .... Like I need a bag to carry Gospels of John, tracts and such and maybe something to pad my shoulder (this cross isn't so much heavy as a bit awkward to balance on your shoulder)
and Yes, to take the time and paint the Cross too.

Again thank you all so much for praying.
I will be going again and from time to time on a regular basis.

Thanks Mike. I think people get so stuck on this or that at times and take their militant, unwavering stance without ever allowing themselves to really think things out beyond superficial idealogy. A lot of people will fight against this or that without ever digging deep from within to see things logically and biblically, which I think borderlines hippocrisy and being disingenuous. Hippocrisy because I can't imagine one single detractor standing idly by and praying as their daughter is being raped five feet away from them, watching as their wife is about to be stabbed, or as their son is being beaten to death with a baseball bat when a hand gun happens to be laying on a table within easy reach.
Again, your child breaks and arm..do you begin praying, or do you seek medical attention? A thug is dousing your child with gasoline and striking a match...do you begin praying, or do you reach for an available weapon? Your child contracts a curable, but very deadly disease...do you begin praying as they writhe in agony, being near death, or do you give them the shot that will save their life? I can't imagine anyone not using their God given common scense when they themselves or their loved ones become the victim.

Terrorists are shooting up in broad daylight on the trains and busses, and the mentally ill, racists, and the like are on murderous missions of their own.
The world is more dangerous than ever before and nobody will ever convince me that God doesn't expect us to protect our lives with the common sense He gave us.
Well said, Christopher. There is a philosophy of fatalism which is disguised as a theology. These ones do not believe God has granted sense to people, so they do not expect them to use it.

The question is: Why are the script writers intentionally making all these hoaxes so obvious?

Surely they have time, money, knowledge, and technology to create realistic events.

Maybe its simply for poops and giggles?

Kinda like "Trading Places" with Eddie Murphy. Going through all that just for some bet. And for how much?

A dollar.

$1.00

Don't underestimate Satan.

[Oh, and executive producer Aaron Russo of "Trading Places" and the more recent "From Freedom to Fascism" died in 2007 supposedly of bladder cancer]

Solutions, I take it that means you have no locks on your doors, you leave you keys in your car, and if your loved was about to step into danger (like the path of an oncoming vehicle) you wouldn't do anything because it would show your lack of trust in God.

These simple arguments are always the most pointed and always go unanswered. I don't believe that any man or woman, Christian or not, would not pick up a firearm sitting on a counter and shoot the thugs who bust into their home threatening to rape, torture, murder their family, and burn their house down. I can pretty much guarantee that they'd wish they had one. It's so easy for those who live in such safety to judge those who don't. I just believe God expects us to use our common sense and protect ourselves from harm. When a child of one of these breaks an arm, do they simply pray, or rush them to a hospital?

The last funeral I attended was for a couple who had been stabbed to death. I don't see how it would have been worse if the weapon had been a firearm. Quite the opposite, a shooting might have seemed less violent.

Don't pretend that murder and violence would suddenly stop if guns were gone.

Also, it seems that when the Israelites turned from God, part of His punishment was to disarm them.

1Samuel 13:19 Now there was no smith found throughout all the land of Israel: for the Philistines said, Lest the Hebrews make them swords or spears:

Judges 5:8 They chose new gods; then was war in the gates: was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel?

Living the dream. With a gun shop on every corner, it just don't get any better.

Oh, btw....... since you singled out assault rifles; did you know that more people have been killed with hammers than with rifles the past few years? We've just got to do something about all those hammers in the hands of crazies.
