Ginsberg Officiates Same-Sex ‘Wedding’ as Supreme Court Deliberates National Case

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg officiated a same-sex “wedding” last weekend as the nation’s high court deliberates a monumental case that will decide states’ rights regarding the definition of marriage.

Ginsburg wore her traditional black robe and lace collar as she presided over the ceremony of Michael Kahn and Charles Mitchem. According to reports, Ginsburg put an emphasis on the word “Constitution” as she declared that she was uniting them under the “powers vested in her by the Constitution of the United States.” ...

Thx for the witness.
I was reading Ps 22 this morning:
Ps 72:was my meditation yesterday ; i like the 1st 8 vss.too:
Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son. He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment. The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness. He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor. They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations. He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth. In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth. He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.

There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth. His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed. Blessed be the Lord God!

oh, I'm definitely an outside to the Talmud. I am a follower of Jesus Christ.

and the Talmud teaches that Jesus is in hades in excrement...

I can assume culturally that it alright for many considering this is celebration time for ginsb...

"The Anti-Defamation League has a longstanding commitment to protecting civil rights, and has been a key partner in advancing Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) rights. At the federal, state, and local levels, ADL has advocated in support of anti-discrimination statutes, for strong and inclusive hate crime and bullying prevention laws, and for marriage equality"

Mourner, what a beautiful word. yes, we are one people in Christ.

Knox said the examples establish no common law. But they do wreck his foolish assertion- "And such be all women,.."
He must have been an early denier of word meanings.
If one is a denier of punctuation in sentence meaning one might stop at the comma and ignore a generic reference to man as the conclusion to logic flow by Knox.
"Man " obviously not being the same word as "men"...
What Knox has in view is design intent generically.

As in "man is designed to bear authority as see in 1 Cor 11. "

But not all men are trustworthy.

All women are designed in the providence of God to fit into God's plan for man & woman.

Sinful weak individual men led to exceptions that prove the rule.
Knox pointed this out.

As I said: the Knox treatise is long. And others have noted a modern Gunn brothers film that is filled with only women espousing Knox's treatise, based on this titled piece.

@ pennned This morning I read again as it has been a topic of recent meditation

John 11:21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. (That Christ was God he established in w

23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

Martha and her family were Jews by descent but apparently also by the faith of Abraham. John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

Hebrews 11

Two seeds; one blood

Romans 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Doesn't one have to be a member of a family to know what the head of that family requires. Wouldn't there be an equal yoking of the spirit? Like everyone knowing when the lights go off? Or when someone has broken its rules? Or is this left up to the judgment of any outsider?

Thanks for your comment. Just the mention of the link you posted earlier caused my heart to tremble. Some years ago now, I read from 'The Selected Writings of John Knox'; Presbyterian Heritage Publications 'The First Blast of the Trumpet Against the Monstrous Regiment of Women' 1588. At that time my life was in transition from leaving my profession, it therefore had a profound impact. It brought back the memories of God's loving-kindness. I lack concentration reading off a computer, I prefer books. Don't like dvd's

The reason I quoted from 1 Cor. 11 was related to my own want of the good order God intended; which is related to the impact of the world, the flesh and the devil. Living in the state where the article took place, is very difficult "and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore." The diversity of temptations tries one's faith James 1:1-7

Nevertheless, it is written: Ephesians 6:10-18 and my Captain who is greater than Joshua, as his antitype; has said.
" but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." WCF chap 25 I. IV. V. VI.

documentary detailing the effects that feminism has had on our culture. This documentary includes interviews with Phyllis Schlafly (of the Eagle Forum), Stacy McDonald (who wrote Raising Maidens of Virtue) as well as a feminist and several pro-abortion supporters.

One of the most fascinating parts of the documentary is a trip inside a Planned Parenthood event for kids and an interview with former abortion mill operator Carol Everett (of The Heidi Group) who reveals the dark secrets of the abortion industry.
...
documentary goes all out to demolish the feminist worldview. From a consistently Christian perspective, they show how feminism has had a devastating impact on the church, state, and family. Starting with the infamous 16th century essay written by the reformer John Knox against the reigning female monarch, the Gunn Brothers find plenty of application to America’s political landscape; where feminists vie for every possible office including the presidency.

Isaiah 3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths

I believe Mr.Knox was aware of Deborah and Huldah. Copied a line from the link, I think it is the answer to all women?

"We see our country set forth for a prey to foreign nations; we hear [of] the blood of our brethren, the members of Christ Jesus, most cruelly to be shed; and the monstrous empire [government] of a cruel woman (the secret counsel of God excepted) we know to be the only occasion of all those miseries; and yet with silence we pass the time, as though the matter did nothing appertain to us.

Deut.29:29 The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Men being distracted from leadership by the toils of life and women's usurpation is part of the consequence of the fall.
In my own life I've had to note the temptations to excuse clear precepts when Satan removes what was intended for good order with his limitless and tireless assaults.

1 Cor. 11 seems to address good order in descending order: the Father, the Son, men and women v.11 "Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.

12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

]]resource by Gunn brothers Ladies against feminism
In their documentary, The Monstrous Regiment of Women, Colin and Emily Gunn have produced an incredible, well-researched,articulate, and powerful expose’ of feminism, its agenda, and its far-reaching, destructive influence on society. They do not just dwell on the negative, however, but give hope by standing firmly on God’s Holy Word and revealingHis highesteem of, and plan for, women.

The Gunns do a masterfuljob of contrastingthe ugly truth behind feminism and the havoc it wreaks, with thetruthof Biblical womanhood and the joy and beauty that comes from living a life according to the standards set forth in Scripture. The stark difference between feminism (truly another word for self-worship) andBiblicalwomanhood is stunning.

The cast includesmany godly, intelligent, and influential women who are outspoken defenders of Biblicalwomanhood and lovely examples of the truth of Scripture and lives lived in joyful obedience to the Lord

understand the huge role feminism has played in seeking to destroy the traditional, Biblical family unit, homemakers, manhood, parental authority, morality, marriage,& children.

2 Kings 22:16 Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the words of the book which the king of Judah hath read:

edit: background- Everyone had forgotten the books of Moses, and Josiah the young King found the book of the law and read it. NOBODY knew what to, and the priests consulted Huldah for guidance

Recusing yourself due your own prejudice toward a pending court case is what a judge should do.
But we have flipped our constitution to elevate judges to kings and for that our nation will fall into two categories tyranny or civil war. I simply see us fading away. Not just with this court case but with the final authority being the Supreme Court . That is where our country has ended, when your voting counts as naught and a judge rules against voters decisions. May the prayers for our God in heaven be our peace.
