Anne Graham Lotz: 'The Rapture' Will Occur During 'My Lifetime'

In continuing with a warning she gave last week on her website that God will soon unleash his judgment upon America, Billy Graham's 66-year-old daughter, Anne Graham Lotz, further clarified on Wednesday that biblical signs are indicating that the rapture will occur during her lifetime.

Lotz, who turns 67 on Thursday, previously proclaimed by citing the book of Joel that God's judgement upon America is "going to be ugly." In a Wednesday Interview with CBN News, she explained that all the signs that the book of Joel points out as "birth pains" directly preceding the Day of the Lord have come to fruition.

"So the birth pains, the signs that Jesus gives, whether it is in the environmental world or national world, the wars, or the persecution of Christians, the persecution of Jews, when we see that ratcheting up and increasing in frequency and in intensity in the same generation that sees the Gospel ...

John Y.,m I guess I could add something of a generic nature here. I do use the Rapidnet site quite a bit because I like a lot of the material there. Like everything else, however, you have to use discernment in what you read even if you really gush over a site -- and I don't on this one -- there are things I don't agree with what is on the site, but the material on Billy and family is usually well-documented. Interestingly they did have something on Billy's daughter which you might find of note.

Not only have denominations and local churches advanced the cause of women clergy, but notable religious figures have done their part to popularize this trend as well. Anne Graham Lotz, daughter of evangelist Billy Graham, is now one of the most popular woman preachers in the world. Lotz recently told one television news program that her parents used to disapprove of her ministry until they heard her preach. "They saw that my home was clean, my children were well-behaved, my husband was happy and very supportive," she said, "And they just backed off and could see that God had called me."

It is correct that women ministers are not Biblical. That article on Billy Graham is nothing but a bunch of lies. Why would anybody accept that article on Billy Graham as being true?

The first part of your post was fine but then you allowed yourself to be baited off topic by a link in Jim Lincoln's post.

Your posts have a long track record of leading threads off topic and we're not going to permit that any longer. Stay on topic and we'll get along fine.

Watch and pray. Pray without ceasing. Always abound in the work of the Lord. Pray "Our Father ... thy will be done. All your judgments are done in righteousness, O God. Keep us from the evil one.
Judgment is necessary to bring repentance upon the wicked. What is happening today should be evidence that God is not pleased with man becoming gods unto themselves. He is removing landmarks via disasters because man is removing His; THE WORD OF GOD; THE BIBLE. Man is removing institution God has established. So God is removing ours. Our prayer should be that those caught or experiencing severe adversities will call upon Him and not curse Him.
These signs are not indicative of Christ’s return. Otherwise, it is not anticipated by a blink of the eye. The suddenness, extensiveness, frequency, and intensity supports not knowing when. We should live worthy of our calling in Christ Jesus.
With all that said; it does SEEM to be the next hour. It always has to the saints. In prayer I often feel as if I can touch the hem of his garment, Christ's return seems so nigh.
Just be careful not to make the same mistake Harold Camping did, ANNE.

I'm not , arminian, Calvinist, pre trib, post trib or whatever.
I read the scripture, I believe it is the inspired word of god, I don't see the argument, I'm not suggesting that there's a 3rd coming, and I don't believe that once our Lord returns to earth (not up in the clouds..) we get another chance for salvation of course not. Who's caught in the clouds with the dead in Christ,?
Who is to be saved from the wrath and tribulation,? Is revaluation incorrect about the 1000yr reign, who is it that rules with the lord, who are the saints. Are we that believe and are Christians not counted as saints? Rcc company excepted of course.

"Chiliasm again revived during the dark period of the Reformation. This was largely due to the degradation of the Roman church at that time and also to the bloody persecutions which the church then endured. The doctrine, as we mentioned before, was rejected by both Luther and the other reformers with such absoluteness that it never appeared in any of their confessions, (Cf. Hoekstra‚Äôs ‚ÄúBijdrage tot de Kennis en de beoordeeling van het Chiliasme‚ÄĚ pp 29). The Augsburg Confession explicitly states that they reject all those who spread the Jewish opinion, that prior to the resurrection of the dead the pious shall receive the administration of the world and then shall bring the ungodly under subjection, (Augsburg Confession, last Art.)." Chiliasm Is NOT the same as modern Premillennialist fiction.

Rapture ideology and Premillennialism is a recent invention of man.

The accurate Bible position is Amillennialism.

the purpose of Christ's second return is essential doctrine. He is coming to do away with death forever, to judge the living and the dead! the idea that people will be saved after seeing Him (all men come to Him by faith) is a heresy.

1 Thessalonians 4:14-18
If there is not going to be a ‚Äúrapture‚ÄĚ {catching up - harpazo} could someone please explain what this passage means in plain English.
p.s. I do not hold to a pre-trib rapture.
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. (?Revelation? ?20?:?4-5? KJV)

Seems to me that 1 Thessalonians 4 is talking about the first resurrection. Otherwise, there would be resurrections prior to the first resurrection, which would mean the first resurrection really isn't first.

Christians will not be saved from the Tribulation......they will go through the tribulation......but God will save them by giving them eternal life if they remain faithful.

wow, that is more than I bargained for. Just trying to show a site that was not premillinial admits the view didn't start in the 19th century as I am sure that using a pro premill site would have been disregarded by M. Doralle and others who hold his view. Apparently the guy is a Catholic pentecostal

More reliable sites that are not premillinial but show it is not a new position.

The Premill Rapture is as realistic as a Disney cartoon and probably comes from the same imagination. The idea that God has to go through all this again for a thousand years to prove something or find something out about His elect is completely unbiblical and therefore fallacy. God knows His own elect and does not need to go round again to find out or prove anything. The flying Christian rapture is pure fiction.
imo, the notmills must have more imagination than the premills. After all, over-fondness for allegory and symbol requires it. Premills just aren't very good at it.

Unprofitable Servant, I notice the author of the link you provided also has a good imagination, which fits right in with his denial of the millennium. He also denies the 6 day creation, saying:

"Since then trustworthy scientific evidence has continued to accumulate indicating that the earth is, indeed, very old and that the universe began with the big bang."

He also says there were humans before Adam and Eve. Though he does not deny that some early churchmen held to the premill view, his imagination, alas, is too great to hold that words actually do tend to mean things, whether in Genesis or Revelation.
