We will be speaking on the role technology plays in our lives and how to evaluate our interaction with and through it in a talk at Teach Them Diligently in Atlanta, GA on April 9th at 3:30. Teach Them Diligently has been a ministry partner with us for several years and we are delighted to have this opportunity to speak there.
We will be addressing just three areas in regards to how our technology is shaping us, the way we recreate (or our entertainments), the way we communicate, and the way we congregate (or our worship). These will be considered in the hope that it will help us to think not only about them, but all of life in this technological age.
We have tools at our disposal that the generations before us could hardly imagine, and some that they could not have even dreamed of. The way we communicate, the way we work, the way we play, even the way we worship is being swept along by a torrent of new devices, new technologies, but where is it taking us? And do we want to go there? Things in every sphere of life are developing at a pace that is truly mind boggling, but are we are even noticing anymore?
If you or someone you know will be attending the convention we would encourage you stop by for our session "Face to Face With A Digital World" in the Renaissance Brayton room. Also, please stop by our table and say hello.
