Scientists Find Evidence of Genesis Flood and Noah's Ark

Mysterious metal lumps discovered along the ocean floor queued up scientific minds in a puzzle that's amounted to nothing more than guessing games—until now.

"These metallic pellets provide strong evidence that most seafloor sediments were deposited rapidly, not slowly and gradually over millions of years. Are these nodules evidence of the Genesis Flood?" writes creation scientist Jake Hebert.

Though other nodules have been discovered in the past, none were in such a concentrated area.

Evolutionary scientists are perplexed. ...

Yes indeed, I think we should promote the Bible regularly as God's revelation to mankind. With God's word and his Spirit we can work wonders wherever we go.

The Lord Jesus Christ who speaks to us though our Bibles, quoted the account of Noah and the Flood as an example of God's judgment in history.

its no surprise that there's evidence, still think its neat though. the skies show God's glory too. nature shows a great Designer. there is so much evidence of God, our very breath was given to us. we have the dead sea scrolls and other documents that prove the veracity of the scriptures and prove their first century authorship (in regards to the NT). even with homosexuality, it is an obvious rebellion against how one was made.

Oh, the teachings of the scriptures are a sure foundation! What of all the ancient cultures speaking of a flood and a man with a family who was saved in a boat? If they all weren't singing that tune the evolutionists would say, "hey, if there was a flood wouldn't ancient cultures have a collective memory of it?" -- well they do. I have a friend who came to Christ after realizing the reliability of the scriptures. I do believe there is room for scholarship in the realm of the advance of the Kingdom of Christ, Christians should excel in all things of God. The four gospels are built on the concept of journalism. The eyewitness accounts are what have given them validity. Josephus is another one to read.

What a good speech, Penny. Amen to that.

Now I have been in a debate with this fellow I used to work with regarding the difference between believing in an Old Earth versus a young earth. He believes in an OEC and would also argue a local flood versus a global flood. Anyway, the group he follows is led by a fellow named Dr. Hugh Ross from a site called Reasons to Believe. I think it would astound many as to how many famous theologians actually adhere to this OEC. I, and I'm sure most here are strongly in favor of the opposite; a YEC.

Now for my main thought. I should not care what any scientist says about Genesis or about God's creation. I am not a scientist and most who post here aren't, so to support the scientific findings of a YEC scientist is the same as others supporting an OEC scientist. I don't understand the scientific conclusion they reach, so I ignore both sides. It not then it becomes having itching ears or something like that.

Now, am I happy that science concurs with scripture when it does; yes. Do I use their evidence to support Genesis; yes I do that sometimes. Does it really matter if these scientists agree with Genesis; absolutely not. Should I be using their evidence to support my thought; probably NOT. I am not a scientist, so I don't have a clue if their reasoning is correct or not.

It's hard to see to take the splinter out of another's eye when we may have a beam in ours blocking the view.

My thoughts exactly, John Uk, when I read that I thought, I don't need "proof" from scientist to prove anyhing that's in God's Holy Word. All these religious people that now say it's ok for homosexuals to marry and be accepted into their church has just said, " I don't believe God's word is true". God never changes. He is the same yesterday as He is today and tomorrow. Sin is wrong in God's eyes even though the world's morals say it's acceptable.
Yes indeed, Dolores. The word of God is just what it says. These words are God's words. In the Bible he speaks. This is why we can trust all of God's promises found in scripture. He means what he says, and says what he means. We can be very thankful for his care of his own word, scrupulously maintained by the Jewish nation and carefully copied over the centuries, and skilfully translated into our native tongue, that we might hear about Jesus, who saves all that call upon him, redeeming them by the blood of the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world, and putting his Spirit within them, that they might comprehend how great is the love of God for them that trust in him. Amen.
