SPECIAL REPORT
SermonAudio Partners with RFC for the 2015 Family Conference at the Creation Museum!

Reforming Families Conference (RFC) in partnership with SermonAudio.com is pleased to announce the 2015 theme of “The Christian’s War Against the World” for the upcoming Family Conference held at the world-class Creation Museum! We invite you and your family to take a break for a few days this summer (June 11-13) and enjoy a different kind of family conference that presents a unique lineup of dynamic speakers held in a venue enjoyable for the whole family!

We've assembled an incredible roster of speakers including Joel Beeke, Al Martin, Kevin Swanson, Steve Ham, and Michael Barrett. Some of the sermons and practical sessions dealing with this subject include:

  • The Christian’s Use Without Abuse of the World
  • The World’s Allurement of the Christian’s Affections
  • The Cultural Attack Against Biblical Marriage and Gender Distinction
  • The Christian Overcoming Evil with Good
  • The Christian’s Equipment for Taking on the World
  • Roundtable Discussion with the Speaker Panel.
The purpose of the Reforming Families Conference (RFC) is based upon the Latin phrase: semper reformans, semper reformanda – “reformed, always reforming.” To that end, our desire is to challenge and encourage families to advance in their quest to glorify Christ and advance His kingdom…and to be Always Reforming.

Once again this year, SermonAudio.com is partnering with RFC to help organize, plan, sponsor, and promote this exciting family event.

SermonAudio.com was started 15 years ago with a humble purpose of magnifying the voice of the local pastor and helping the local church to extend its reach. Today, we stand in a unique position of encouragement to the scattered but faithful churches of our day. Theologically conservative churches of many different viewpoints broadcast with us, reaching a diverse audience the world over and with many we have developed special bonds of friendship and mutual encouragement.

One such friendship, with Answers in Genesis, has allowed us to acquire a world class venue for this year's conference -- the 900-seat auditorium called Legacy Hall at the Creation Museum itself. The Creation Museum in Kentucky is a state of the art facility sprawling out over 70,000 square feet. It houses 160 exhibits complete with animatronic dinosaurs, a planetarium, zip lines, camel rides, a petting zoo and much more.

Admission to the conference is only $30 per family and Museum admission will be available at a steep discount to attendees (Museum admission is not required for attendance). Space in the auditorium will be limited so we would encourage you to register your family today!

Visit the ReformingFamilies.org website for conference details including the speaker bios, schedule of events, hotel accommodations, and more!

Come and join us!

Brothers, will this Conference have translation to the Spanish? I hope that if, if so we can help with our Church in the dissemination of these exhibitions, since they will be of great value for Spanish-speaking families also.

Blessings

If you listen to such debates is the gospel preached? Isn't the idea to let the deceived followers of the atheist Goliaths, who fill the halls, or listen to the debate in their 1000's be confronted:
1) That their Champion is full of holes.
2) That their own faith in evolutionism etc. has no evidence and based on a lie and one big hole.
3) Then they are faced with the gospel?
The point is that debates will be listened to by 1000's of proud sinners faced with the truth for the very first time, facts destroying their Champion and false beliefs; and in God's purpose and providence they do also hear the gospel of Christ!
I must concede.
Parallel supporting can be drawn from the words of the apostle Paul. "Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good willPhp. 1:5). As long as the Gospel is preached.

Similarly (though not as followers) we and especially children learn more incidentally, than we do formally. It is like crumbs falling from the table for the benefit of the dogs?

Again, I concede.

The goodness of God is in the Gospel. He gave His son over to death because of us. The goodness of God leads to repentance.
Too many men are making names for themselves.
And just imagine this - debating with someone who attempts to convince us that God himself has not convinces atheists that He is. So a man, thinking himself to be wiser than God, makes the attempts.

To me this is more carnal attractions used to degrade the gospel and to fleece who ever is in the market for the same. We don't believe in creation because of scientific proof in the first place; we believe in creation because of what the scripture records. As for the men running this conference they range from eccumenists to flat out hypocrites. Where are the men of God giving up all earthly comfort and fame for the gospel of Christ? I'm sorry but this type of gathering has more the trappings of a carnival and less the scent of Christs' example of leaving the ninety and nine to go after the one lost sheep.

Wanted to go to last year's conference and was hindered. Love Pr. Martin, Dr. Cairns, Dr. Barrett and have been blessed of the Lord greatly by their laboring in the Word. Unfortunatly was hindered this year also. Will be listening online after the conference. As for those who criticize this, I wonder if they ever even so much as lifted up a voice to criticize John Piper and Gospel Coalition so-called "Passion" conferences, which take on more of the atmosphere of a Pink Floyd concert than a bible conference.

Let these last two posts be a lesson to SA and those 'ecumenists' that are sponsoring this event. NEVER schedule your Christian event to conflict with a NASCAR race

2015 theme of “The Christian’s War Against the World”

Really?

Where in Scripture are we told to wage war against the world?
We are told that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, that it is not against flesh and blood we fight (i.e. political).
We are told that Jesus'(our)kingdom is not of this world, but if it were, then we would fight. A direct implication that we are not to fight against this world.

How can they justify their dominionist ambitions by taking a few passages out of context when the Bible overwhelmingly rejects this purpose for the Church?

The Scriptures make clear the hostility of the world towards God's elect but nowhere in Scripture can it be found where the elect are supposed to wage a carnal/political war against the world.

They (the world) are coming after us, to be sure. They will overcome us and kill us but where do they find we are supposed to resist them? Jesus says otherwise.

There is NOW no fence for them to walk on in their effort to be so-called “Christian patriots”. They must admit to an other-worldly Kingdom, one that will be established ONLY by Christ Himself at His return.

Thank you, I do hope the conference is a blessing to all who attend. It might be nice to have SA provide others a chance to see and hear online.
