While those opposing mandatory vaccination for measles are widely portrayed as ignorant and even dangerous by some officials, pundits and even news media accounts, Centers for Disease Control records reveal a startling truth – while no one has died of measles in the U.S. in the last 12 years, 108 have died as a result of the adverse effects of the vaccine in that same time period.
The death statistics are recorded by Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, or VAERS, which captures only a small percentage of the actual number of deaths and other adverse reactions to the vaccine. In addition, 96 of the 108 deaths in that 12-year time period were a result of the MMR vaccine, now the preferred shot for measles immunization.
In addition, CDC statistic show measles deaths were rare in the U.S. before the vaccine became widely used....
ha! 83% of those vaccines are made in..... China! How many doggie treats get recalled? And parents are supposed to be used to kids having seizures and all the symptoms of BRAIN SWELLING after these things and just suffer??

Sorry p, I get a "did not match any documents" when googling this
Say, this might be playing on PBS station near you, but if it isn't, you can see it on the Internet. If you don't want to watch the video there's a transcript as well.

Jim brought it up again after 5 days, for the thread and its subject were already fading into limbo. Spokesmen for Ocare are all about fear.
Note to Jim: Not to worry, the next disease of the month will be along soon, and a new hype with it.
The only reason that we haven't had any measles deaths, though I would bet there were some indirectly related to the disease, is because the U.S. has demanded mandatory vaccination of children going to public school (another positive point for public schools) If we didn't have such nutty Democratic governors like Jerry Brown in Calif. loosening restrictions , we may not have had an outbreak there either See, ]]Is The Disneyland Measles Outbreak A Turning Point In The Vaccine Wars?
Dave, I agree and if you read about how penicillin was discovered and has saved many lives you would see why I would agree. If your child had some serious illness would they not hestitate to give them that medicine. I had pneumonia three times and was given sulfa drugs which was fairly new at the time, I think. It was dicovered around world war 11 and saved a lot of soldiers lives. The standard treatment for everything back then was castor oil ( ugh). I was given castor oil and the doctor came to our house with his black bag and was given shots of the sulfa drugs and did get well. The third time I had it, it was in both lungs. By that time I was on to the standard treatment of castor oil and refused to take it. Finally it was disguised in orange juice. The doctor came once more and gave me same med and this time he told my parents he had done all he could do and it was now in the hands of God. He said I would go through the "crisis" and would either live or die. I see it the same way. It is always ends up being in the hands of God and he can use any means He chooses to do the healing. We are testing God if we refuse to use what He has given us for our healing.
Our lord provides such caring and beautiful people, who discover life saving medical treatments for the betterment Of All humanity, to help stop needless suffering. The Lord created the brains , the materials and the love and compassion that is required to even move people to begin to explore what's available to humanity in half

From the CDC link: "Since 2000, when measles was declared eliminated from the U.S., the annual number of people reported to have measles ranged from a low of 37 people in 2004 to a high of 644 people in 2014. Most of these originated outside the country or were linked to a case that originated outside the country."
The direction from which the "originated outside the country" wouldn't be south, would it? Dots are available for connecting.
One of the problems with vaccinations is that it erodes your trust in your creator. Why does a healthy person feel the need to take a vaccine. I can understand if a person is sick to go and find medicine. I used to be a person like that doubting that my God can keep me and watch over me. I used to fear that if I didn't take a vaccine for my kids they would get sick. Thank God He delivered me from my fears. I used to take medicine for rheumatoid arthritis but when I found out it was patented with stem cells from murdered children and incubated upon Chinese Hamster ovaries I chose not to take it anymore. Thank God ! He delivered me from my fears. When our last child was born via an emergency cesarean, in the mayhem of the moment I gave my consent to a vitamin K jab ( I slipped up) but having read about it now it was not needed. Please don't give in to fear but trust God that He will keep you and your family safe and well.
Jim, since I'm on a mobile you'll have to paste the link into your browser. This is a link to a medical journal (so there will be no qualms about unfair journalistic reporting) regarding the CDC's handling of vaccinations and mercury, just from last year. This study was pursued through the courts by the CDC before peer evaluation was allowed to be done. The only reason the study went ahead was because a group of international doctors had already begun the study and there were several universities who would have had serious financial issues if those doctors had left. Otherwise, the CDC wanted their "findings" unchallenged. Anyway, here it is...
CDC wrote: Measles can be prevented with the MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) vaccine. In the United States, widespread use of measles vaccine has led to a greater than 99% reduction in measles cases compared with the pre-vaccine era. Since 2000, when measles was declared eliminated from the U.S., the annual number of people reported to have measles ranged from a low of 37 people in 2004 to a high of 644 people in 2014. Most of these originated outside the country or were linked to a case that originated outside the country.

I think I'll trust the CDC much more than WND when it comes to information on vaccinations. ]]Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). This of course should be used if you do know of an adverse reaction to a vaccination.
From the article: “If you believe absolutely in the benefit and protective value of vaccination, why does it matter what others do?” she asks rhetorically. “Or don’t do? If you believe you need vaccination to be healthy and protected, then by all means vaccinate your child and yourself. Why should you even be concerned what your neighbor chooses to do for his child – if vaccination works? The idea of herd immunity is still based on the idea that in individual cases vaccines actually are protective."
An interesting side note, pediatrician's now have MMRI's: measles, mumps, rubella and influenza. if you're getting a flu shot for your kido's, please double check what else might be tagging along. Better yet, do some serious research on your own and weigh the risks against the possible benefits of the flu shot or any vaccination for that matter.
