Man dies after three-day internet gaming binge

A Taiwanese man has died after a three-day gaming binge at an internet cafe in the island's south, the second such case this year.

The 32-year-old, identified by his family name Hsieh, was found slumped in his chair in the cafe in Kaohsiung city.

Other patrons initially thought he was sleeping, but when an employee realised he was not breathing he was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the Taipei Times reported.

Doctors confirmed he had suffered cardiac failure, ruling it a "sudden death" from prolonged computer gaming, the report said. ...

Thanks for clearing that up becuse the personal attacks is what is wrong for me and that is what bothered me and I got caught up in it also. I understand what he meant by saying what he did but since I have been inspired by him and Ruth for probably since I was in my 20s. Not once did I hear of any adultry, theft of the money, any rumors that you hear from other Mega preachers. Him and Ruth lived in a log house in the mountains of North Carolina. He believes that Jesus is the only way to God period. He is not like the Olseens or Benny Hinn. He has feet of clay, like we all do but like David he is a man of God. Satan would love to see his ministry destroyed. If I debate at all it's because of the unfair attacks on others or something that's important to me but I don't fall out with people over it. Usually they fall out with me because I refuse to change my belief. So glad you weren't one of those and I am not anything you said.

Sorry if I offended you, Dolores. I'm actually not against him quite to the degree many others are, but am against things he has said in the past. I'll stop there because I don't really care to get any more involved in the discussion, but just wanted to say this so you know I wasn't attacking you. I meant to go on yesterday, but time was limited.

Amen pennnnelope, my thoughts exactly. I have nothing to add just agreement in what you said.
Christropher, I will not defend myself in things I said but will defend myself in why I got involved. The Grahams are not in this for the money. Their money helps people when thete is a disaster somewhere and they send teams out to comfort and help others. Technology can be good and bad. My grandson has played video games all his life with some pretty violent stuff on and my husband and I always kinda worred about it. But here he is out of school and leaving for the Maries in a few weeks and none the worse for the games. It's when you let anything become an addition to the harm of your body. You can make an idol out of anything..even your religious beliefs. So I'll carry on here and as the Lord leads. Have a blessed wonderful day.

jules, well I'll chime in here and say that I think we have a window of opportunity right now with the web to find out the truth about a lot of lies that were spoonfed us, so that we may come out of our idols (Babylon) and have pure hearts before the Lord.

but I believe that at some point the free exchange, as limited as it is now will be shut down. you might be interested to know that the makers of the most recent film has passed away along with his wife and young child. you might look into hastings and breibart as well.

this new technology is being used to database everyone and consolidate power and control the very way we relate to everyone.

our mainstream churches have leaned towards modernism and intellectualism, it will be a hard thing to pull them from this end time flow, but the good Lord can do this, even if He has to send persecution along the way to get us back on path!

Oh, and hi, Dolores. I've read your comments but always seem to run out of time before being able to respond. Glad tou have stuck around. Personally, I don't see where you have caused any trouble. I'm assuming you are talking about the Billy Grahm threads which I have steered clear of, but I wouldn't call that making trouble. All I will say about that is that no matter what we may think of any one person, we always need to do our due diligece and vet any information, positive or negative, and then evaluate, or re-evaluate in this particular case. have a nice day...

Hi Jules, I believe that technology is from God, nit unlike the medical sciences, etc. Now, I'm not talking about anything soecific like smart bombs, pulse weapons, or anything else used for nefarious purposes, but I do believe that technology will, and is playing an enormous role for the ushering in of the end times. For example, the mark of the beast, the murder of the two witnesses being broadcast for the world to see, etc, etc

Proverbs 13:11
Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it.

1 Timothy 6:9-10
But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

Hebrews 13:5
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Matthew 6:24
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
