Miami judge weds gays and lesbians after ruling against ban
Lesbian and gay couples were married in Miami on Monday by the same judge who earlier in the day said she saw no reason why they couldn't immediately get their licenses.
The judgeâ€™s ruling jump-started the celebrations and made Florida the 36th state where same-sex marriage is legal.
Same-sex couples in Florida' other 66 counties, however, must wait until 12:01 a.m. In Central Florida, Tuesday will be a day of weddings and celebrations for same-sex couples. At 12:01 a.m., Osceola Court Clerk Armando Ramirez was expected to begin handing out marriage licenses....
