Cancer is the best way to die and we should stop trying to cure it, says doctor

Cancer is the best way to die because it gives people the chance to come to terms with their own mortality, the former editor of the British Medical Journal has claimed.

Dr Richard Smith, an honorary professor at the University of Warwick, said that a protracted death allowed time to say goodbye to loved ones, listen to favourite pieces or music or poetry and leave final messages.

He claimed that any pain of dying could be made bearable through ‘love, morphine, and whisky.’

However Cancer Research UK claimed his comments were ‘nihilistic’ and gave little thought to young people whose lives are cut short by the disease. ...

The secret thing belong to the Lord. What he gives to mankind belongs to us and our children. We should not read into the providence of God but only be thankful. GOD in his wisdom has given us the cure for some types of cancer and many people.have survived cancer. God uses these things to bring people unto a greater knowledge of him self towards his people.

Joe, if possible, do check in with us. we will be praying. I would encourage you also to not feel pressured, but as you are able to do some research of your own, when hundreds of people are singing the same tune, there's something there, answers may not come quickly because there is so much suppression of them, but people do talk.

add on: thermography is a non invasive very helpful tool that measures heat levels in the body. this is not a service offered by mainstream.

Thank all of you for your prayers. I'm 58 and have been getting healthy. Having lost 80 lbs. I competed in Powerlifting contests, and was going to be in a fitness contest. Then, I gained 8 inches in my waist in two weeks. Ascites. My liver and heart checked out good. Now the only thing left top check for is Colon cancer. I will have to have a needle inserted to drain the water off first.
So. thank you aging for your prayers.

Joe, cancer can be caught in early stage and you especially need to have yourself checked as often as your doctor thinks is necessary. My friend already had symptons when she finally had the check-up. They gave her light doses of chemo for a year. We both have been cancer free for 10 yrs and her even longer. Prayer got us through it all. Will keep you in our prayers.

I will do the same Joe. Of course you realize that many more will do it as well, but they may not post their decision.

Chelver. Who are you disagreeing with? I think the point I was making was we should leave that thing up to God because He may have additionaly things for us to do. He is truly sovereign in that area. Paul clearly said it would be better to die and go to heaven, but he also said it would be better for his brethren for him to remain here with them. No, he was not playing God or telling God something He didn't already know or even telling God that He couldn't do it without him. He was just stating a fact.

Your question about shunning heaven was rhetorical I guess because no one even hinted at that that I am aware of.

great story, there are humane ways to raise animals and they are healthier, and so are we then, we reap what we sow!

if you have the time you might be interested in seeing this:

"FRONTLINE investigates the widespread use of antibiotics in food animals and whether it is fueling the growing crisis of antibiotic resistance in people. Plus an exclusive interview with the family of a young man who died in a superbug outbreak that swept through a hospital at the National Institutes of Health."

the food supply is critical to health. even the darwinists know that. as the abortionist said to me, "they'll be moved to cities, put on gm's and then chronically sick and on meds" -- is that really want we want?

(1) Praying to saints is pure idolatry and rejection of God. No real Christian would ever waste his/her time praying to a carcass. Only ignorant reprobates (the RCC) do stuff like that.
(2) Very nice of Paul to say so.
However the point he makes is one that I hope all true Christians receive. That is Heaven - Being with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is supremely exceptionally uniquely wonderfully and incredibly much much more desirable by the Christian than being in a sinful evil state and fallen world.

BTW isn't it the sign of the reprobate to shun heaven and want to live in this sinful world??

"stay in good health" ~ Is the providence of God.
God is sovereign over length of life and length of stay here.

Again you are putting far too much emphasis upon the "power" of man rather than the grace of God.
You sure you are not Arminian Jim?
Arminians are "Independents" politically since they don't trust in Romans 13. Isn't that true Jim?

Yes, death is such a gain for us, so I don't disagree with your premise. But, we should allow the Lord to determine when that happens and I'm sure you would agree. Let's look at the verses that followed yours. Paul wanted what was best for Christ's church; not him.

24. Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.
25. And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;

I have used your verses to argue against praying to RC saints. Paul said he would be more help to his followers if he remained; not die, go to heaven, and then intercede for them from there.

Agree again, penned. Girls are maturing much ealier and you wonder why, hormone in the food? Cancer can be cured and it's not always a death sentence. I have a friend that had colon cancer 2nd stage and she is still alive and that's been 15 yrs ago. You are the most aware of this type stuff going on than any of us on here it seems. So much more cancer it seems and again you wonder why?

Jim is refering to the Catholic concept of redemptive suffering, being united w/Christ by suffering. Its a concept more Biblical than his dispensational fantasies of making other peoples suffer for his gratification.
Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
However, its doesnt mean Catholics like suffering or seek it out
Well, I’m sure your statement about catholics desiring suffering is true as a whole. But you are aware that pope John Paul II used to self flagellate? And there are still large numbers of catholics in the world who do this. It is like their entire soteriology; they have to earn their way - period.

Whereas, my bible says that we are justified and declared righteous solely through what my Lord and Savior did. It is indeed finished.

You have to move on, Jim. Get beyond the denial stage. Obamacare is junk healthcare.
