KS judge: Homeschoolers prepped for life in the 15th century
After a recent custody battle in Kansas, a lower court judge made some overtly denigrating comments about homeschoolers — in so many words saying that they are unsocialized introverts fit only for a centuries-past society.
Socialization and interaction with other students, which are important … cannot be achieved by homeschooling,” the lower court judge said in the lawsuit’s ruling. “[Home education prepares children] for life in the 15th century.”
Disturbed by the anti-homeschool rhetoric used in the ruling, attorneys with the Homeschool Legal Defense Association brought the biased language before the Kansas Court of Appeals, which recently agreed with the Christian legal group, stating that the judge’s comments were “suspect” and “unsupported.”...

Now we see what our Lord was up against in the days of his flesh. He lived against counter-culture thoughts and influence. It is sad that we have slipped so low in America as to call good evil and evil good. The world, more and more, is trying to squeeze us into the mold of degeneracy; programming our children to live mindlessly. This video is an eyeopener. I found it on point; especially after being glued to the computer monitor for four or more days; watching news. It was mind boggling. I felt robbed of something I can't explain. But WATCH this video and back away from TV. Fellowship with the household of faith.
However, while introverts are a minority group in society, they form the majority of gifted people. Moreover, it appears that introversion increases with intelligence so that more than 75% of people with an IQ above 160 are introverted.
I've seen homeschooling done well, and I've seen homeschooling done very very very wrong. The problem is it is the extreme that makes the impression on unbelievers. They will always point out the uneducated child whose parents "homeschooled" to keep them away fromevil influence
Here's my experience--I can visit the public library across the street from a public junior high (middle)school and, when school lets out at 3pm, the kids come over to the library. You can watch them spend their time doing nothing with the library books, newspapers, magazines, computers, or their own books. What do they do? All the time is spent with their smartphones and chatting about what they see on them. Best yet: this is a Magnet School, not your run-of-the-mill public school!
Nevermind the fact kids can take online courses to fit their learning "style" at home. A judge bases his remarks off unadulterated bias is indicative of the "schooling" of public schools. Kangaroo court.
the homeschoolers in Nebraska, in other words just the state north of this fellow, seem to be socializing quite well. ]]NET: Home School Nebraska.
