Limbaugh erupts: GOP is 'corrupt, reprehensible'

If you think conservative juggernaut Rush Limbaugh is a champion for the Republican Party, think again.

The nation’s top-rated radio host just launched a blistering attack on the GOP establishment, calling it “corrupt” and “reprehensible” for aligning with Democrats to defeat a tea-party Republican in a Senate primary runoff.

On Tuesday night, six-term Sen. Thad Cochrane held off state Sen. Chris McDaniel by a narrow margin of 50.8 percent of the votes to 49.2 percent.

On Limbaugh’s Wednesday program, the host flayed the Republican Party’s tactics, holding up a flyer featuring photos of both candidates he said was indicative of the GOP’s efforts. ...

1) Magnanimous of you Jim. I'm sure UPS is grateful.

2) How about a list in your own words?

3) Maybe you're the one disconnected from Nebraska heritage. Ever considered moving to my State? You'd likely be more comfortable, what with our economics in the tank, 3 million fewer residents than 10 years ago, and perpetual liberalism, which led to people leaving, and the tanking. We have lots of people left though, the "intelligent" ones as you interpret it. They're so intelligent, they keep reelecting the same butthead liberals.

The message I put up before this one states my thoughts quite well, but I did run across this commentary which in passing mentions radio commentators of the right-wing variety. I hope I have pointed out, I'm glad to see Southerners of UPS intelligence, and not all Southerners are extremists. Being a Christian, I can agree with some of the platforms of the Republican Party. Being a Northerner from a family of Northerners there are practices I abhor of the ]]http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/12/08/the-south-has-indeed-risen-again-and-it-s-called-the-tea-party.html. This idea is totally obnoxious to me. The author isn't correct in some ways, because states that were settled by Union veterans and their families have surrendered to neo-Confederate ideas. There are no doubt quite a few Southerners who don't like the Tea Party --and I don't mean just Black ones either I can be harder on my own state of Nebraska for giving up its heritage and becoming traitors to it, than I can on some Southern states.

R.K., you're right! It's neo-Confedracy attitude is dangerous. Now that's a good term for it, sorry I didn't think of it myself. It's as accurate as most terms, and perhaps, not so nasty. I see more sensible Repubs are trying to reclaim the party-- ]]http://online.wsj.com/articles/tea-partys-poll-setbacks-dont-limit-its-washington-clout-1403743322?mod=WSJ_article_EditorsPicks (Ihope that works WSJ has a way of making their articles, quickly unavailable )

Why, Michael how can you call what I said a sign of superiority? I automatically assume 99% or more commenters have more than a 5th grade education! Sorry if I stepped on anyone toes. Oh, and again, ]]Left & Right Voices in Talk Radio & TV

Ah, how can I bring up specifics on his tirades, when I haven't listened since before Clinton was President? Oh, I could point out his repeated attacks on Clinton, which was stupid (ah not sane, rational?) because. Because in both these cases, 'Tell a lie often enough, especially a whopper, people will believe it' or remember the story about the boy who cried wolf? Even when Rushie finally tells the truth, people of good sense won't listen to him. But since I have more than a 5th grade education, I don't listen to him at all. If I hear him on; I'll turn him off.

Say, perhaps this explains why John Y routinely posts the same comments all time, or why Jim Lincoln cant help bringing up Bush and the Greedy Old Party.

what did Limbaugh ever care about the constitution as his party build dhs around us like an iron grid and sent our best to wores that were meant to be perpetual? now today we hear of some little county in FL getting an MRAP armored vehicle... most are so fluoridated today, they wouldn't even know the significance of it.

I doubt that Jim is going to respond with specifics because there aren't any. It's much easier to throw out his usual blanket tarring-and-feathering of anyone who supports the Constitution, especially if they are in the GOP. Chris McDaniel, like many in the Tea Party Movement, are not nuts. They are simply concerned Americans, many of them Christians, who are tired of elected officials in the two major political parties who constantly violate the law and their duty to the U.S. Constitution and their constituents.

Agreed William, and those who try to stamp out this so called tea party movement which is a grass roots movement, not a political party, will find it's like nailing jello to the wall, to use an old expression. The left can't compete in the area of ideas and principles, so there is nothing for them to do but to smear and name-call, and like pigs, root around in the dirt hoping for anything they can use to fill their greedy stomachs.

I'm amazed at the times I live in where people who support lower taxes, liberty, freedom, personal property rights, immigration control, the Constitution and the bill of rights are "nuts"

The opposite of those things is suffocating taxation, bondage and tyranny, being literally invaded by foreigners summed up,national suicide...and these people have the nerve to call others names.

This nation is committing suicide on a scale that causes one to think it was and is both planned and orchestrated.....and despite all the complaining the people are doing nothing to stop it,concerned at the present about some stupid Soccer game thousands of miles away.

I listened to Rush's entire program that day, not something I normally do, as well as to several other programs both local and national and they all agreed that what happened in that race was a betrayal and an outrage. Constitutionalists will not give up until this kind of treachery is rooted out.

As usual, Jim, you seem unable to stay on track. I ask again what comment did Rush make, concerning the Mississippi farce in this article, that you found insane? You're the one responded to it by saying who said you were "hoping that Limbaugh was going to make a sane commentary."

As you well know, the article was not about Kevin McCarthy whatsoever. But I admire your dancing away from the dance floor.
