Born gay? Not necessarily, U.K. psychiatrists say

The main professional psychiatry organization in the U.K. says same-sex attraction is not always cemented at birth and can change.

The Royal College of Psychiatrists, a London-based organization that represents over 15,000 psychiatrists, recently released a position statement reversing previous assertions that sexual orientation is determined only by biology, before birth.

The statement said the College, “considers that sexual orientation is determined by a combination of biological and postnatal environmental factors.” The three studies cited as evidence for this conclusion were published at least eight years ago, from 2000, 2005, and 2006. The statement goes on to assert sexual orientation may change: “It is not the case that sexual orientation is immutable or might not vary at some extent in a person’s life.” ...

Faith is "the gift of God" . . .

Ephesians 2:8-10 KJV
[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. [10] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

the psychiatrists build their truth on consensus. has nothing to do with reality in most cases. changes every few years anyway, and they think man is just a bunch of chemical reactions, so what do they really have to say? not much.

Saving faith comes only from God.
It is not a faculty possessed by man.
There are many who think they have faith but do not, for example Roman Catholics, JW's, Liberals and Arminians. Yet they are quite convinced by sin that they have faith and are saved. Jesus refers to people such as these in Matthew 7:21-23. This is the reason why so many false churches exist today.

The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:14 ESV)
For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. (Romans 8:7-8 ESV)
Our heart is dead on arrival, disabled for obedience. Or better said, separated from God.
The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:14 ESV)
God’s changing of the heart enables obedience. Or better said, union with God through Jesus Christ.
No amount of intellectual learning can perform what is by design (so that no man can boast.) the work of our soveriegn God.

Ha! Man, you're so funny!

What shall I say? I tell you what, try to explain away the phrase "I lay down my life for the sheep". The words "lay down my life" are talking about the cross, where the beloved Lord Jesus died a sacrifice for sin. The words "for the sheep" show clearly for whom he was doing this awful work - for the sheep! It's so simple, even a child could understand it, so where's your problem?

One thing I ought to point out, which you are totally oblivious to, is that the Lord does not keep repeating himself concerning certain doctrines. Indeed, he remains largely silent on the matter of the extent of the atonement, so that if you want to be Christlike, it behoves you to do the same.

For instance, you keep repeating that "faith is the gift of God", but there is very little scripture about that, so God does not intend you to make a big thing of it.

Far better to keep a balance, lest you fall over and break your neck. I am seeking to be a whole Bible man, and you are seeking to wreck that thinking, and make me a clone. Won't work! Christ has made me free, and I intend to stay that way.

Now John try and grasp the Biblical reality of the Limited Atonement which excludes all who are reprobated by God to hell. Thus these psychiatrists cannot perceive this truth and the iniquity destroying the life of these sodomites and all sinners.
"The Lord hath made all things for Himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil." (Prov. 16:4). That the Lord made all, perhaps every reader of this book will allow: that He made all for Himself is not so widely believed. That God made us, not for our own sakes, but for Himself; not for our own happiness, but for His glory; is, nevertheless, repeatedly affirmed in Scripture—Revelation 4:11. But Proverbs 16:4 goes even farther: it expressly declares that the Lord made the wicked for the Day of Evil: that was His design in giving them being. But why? Does not Romans 9:17 tell us, "For the Scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew My power in thee, and that My name might be declared throughout all the earth"! God has made the wicked that, at the end, He may demonstrate "His power"—demonstrate it by showing what an easy matter it is for Him to subdue the stoutest rebel and to overthrow His mightiest enemy." Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Lets give ALL the glory to God.
And nothing to mankind who are all unworthy of salvation.

Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

Born sinner? Yes.
Thus born to sin? Yes.
Thus born to do evil things? Yes.

The human being is the most evil hearted being on earth and is worthy only of hell and damnation.

So when we identify a sin in a person such as murder, rape, paedophilia, homosexuality, theft, adultery, abuse,
"19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." Gal 5.

Then it is no surprise to Christians because we have been forewarned about man's evil heart by God Himself.

Jesus teaches
"19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:" Matthew 15.

What the ignorant reprobates do not know in their darkness is what sin is and how evil they are. (Eph 4:18)

Come Lord Jesus, Come soon. Amen.

Thanks, S Taylor...good thing we're grounded, but it all reminds me if the wheat, chaff, and the rocky soil, etc, parable which serves to tell who is who. I know I'm not alone when I say that I have, and will remain unmovable and unshakable, no matter what the world of science, medicine, or whoever and whatever may concoct and no matter how convincing it all may be.

Christopher, anyone who is exposed to the mass media propaganda is going to find himself sooner or later questioning his long held beliefs. Hitler once said, "if you speak a lie long enough and loud enough, people will believe anything"

"...As this last statement reveals, that assumption is false. … Ideologically driven bias in this debate is damaging people’s lives and freedoms."

Argh! I hate this "we were born this way" nonscense that the Sodomite community has adopted to plea their case and justify the sin.
I've never researched it but I have often heard that the bulk of homosexuals were abused as children, who in many cases, also go on to abuse as well to some degree. I had a conversation with my Aunt a month ago and she said she hasn't closed the door on some being born that way. Being a very long time born again Christian, attending Moody, going to Moody bible college, and knowing the Bible from cover to cover, I was shocked that she questioned this, knowing what God has to say about it all.
