Last Unchallenged U.S. State Banning Same-Sex ‘Marriage’ to Face Federal Lawsuit

The last U.S. state with laws on the books banning same-sex ‘marriage’ will soon face a federal lawsuit, reports state.

“There will be a case filed challenging North Dakota’s same-sex marriage ban,” attorney Joshua Newville of Madia Law in Minneapolis told the Washington Post.

Newville had just filed a lawsuit against officials in South Dakota on Thursday, challenging a 1996 law enshrining marriage as being between a man and a woman, as well as a state constitutional amendment passed by 52 percent of voters in 2006. ...

At the public level, the church condems it, expressing their disgust and disdain openly, but privately...well, history records a very different scenario. The mere fact that the leaders of the church, from the top on down, knew full well that children were being raped, molested, and sodomized for a very long period of time, and still are, speaks volumes to the question of whether they really are for or against sodomy. Priests were never punished, but moved around to hurt others, the church refused to cooperate with law enforcement until forced to, never had a care until the coffers began to empty and there was a public outcry, and the existance of the club was no secret considering 1/3 students entering into seminary were sodomites.

I don't which religious group support queers more, the Unitarians or the Romish Church, remember your Pope Franny said, "who am I to judge," when it comes to queers!
I am nutty? You state the RCC supports the perversion of homosexuality when that is a total fabrication. And you state it is required for salvation and entering Heaven upon ones demise that one who trusts in Jesus alone for salvation has to leave the RCC and unite with an Evangelical Protestant Church. Nowhere in the Bible is church attendance in any church let alone an Evangelical Protestant Church mentioned as being required for salvation and entering Heaven upon ones demise. The only requirement Jesus gave for salvation is to become Born Again, which according to Baptist teaching means to embrace Jesus as Savior and trust in Him alone for salvation. Well I trust in Jesus alone for salvation, therefore I am saved.

Where do you come up with this insanity that the RCC supports the perversion of being a fruitcake? The RCC is against the perversion of being a fruitcake.

Barry, as you see from the article our amendment was tested at least once, and it passed. Now, if there's a new challenge, I guess we would find out. The article written in 2013, pointed out our Unicameral had a bill or whatever to remove the ban, but it didn't go anywhere.

I'm not so sure Jim, Kentucky has an admendment to our state constitution and the federal judge iliminated our ban to acknowledge gay marriage preformed in another state.

Why do fruitcakes and those who support fruitcake marriage want to force everybody to accept fruitcake marriage? Why don't fruitcakes and those who support fruitcake marriage care about the voters wishes to ban fruitcake marriage?

They should have put in the state constitution. The state constitutional ban on queer unions still stands in Nebraska. http://journalstar.com/news/state-and-regional/supreme-court-rulings-have-no-impact-on-nebraska-s-same/article_ad843446-9a6b-5ede-81ea-8707c76024d4.html.
