Responding to Pat Robertson's comments that Young Earth Creationists are "deaf, dumb and blind," Ken Ham of the Creation Museum accused the CBN host of compromising Scripture and thus serving as "one of the biggest problems we have today in the church."
"Pat Robertson illustrates one of the biggest problems we have today in the church-people like Robertson compromise the Word of God with the pagan ideas of fallible men!" Ham posted on his Facebook page on Tuesday.
"That's why a big part of the AiG ministry is to call the church and culture back to the authority of the Word. Pat Robertson is not upholding the Word of God with his ridiculous statements -- he is undermining the authority of the Word."
Robertson made his remarks on his show earlier on Tuesday, when he again clarified that he is not a Young Earth Creationist....
At the end if the day we must all agree; if you cannot believe the first 5 words of the Bible, "In the beginning, God created..." Then there is no reason for you to believe John 3:16. If you think Him a liar in one place there is no guarantee He isn't in another. I wasn't there when He created the Heavens and the earth; but He has shown us all the proof we need in nature that He did it.
Human beings a heartbeat away from eternity and these foolish arguments are the best they can do,young earth, old earth.....who cares already "in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth"....done already.
Who thinks the at a young earth will cause someone to see their need for the savior or that an old earth will....it's all meaningless nonsense....Science means nothing when you draw your last breath.
Didn't F F Bruce hold the old creation view as well stating we cannot ignore the findings of modern science???
Whoever (looking for corrections) it was, to think though that scripture passes the test of science! Really? How absurd the notion! To elevate the findings of so called science higher than scripture so that scripture must pass the test of science.
How low a view of God's word! Matt 22:31 have you not READ what was SPOKEN by God!
I commend Mr Ham, he is fighting valiantly and we need to support men like him who face this head on and encourage him under the attacks
Right J4J...I.always consider the same thoughts. No matter what one might say, do, or be able to prove beyond any doubt, the unbelief will remain and the focus will simply change to another alternative. I hear people saying how wonderful it would be to find the wreckage of Noahs ark, prove beyond doubt the Shroud of Turin, or whatever, but no matter what is found, even if Christ decended saying,"here I am", the world at large would fight against any proof and Him. I always think about how in the end times, men and women will hide and cry for rocks to fall on them rather than repent and cry out to God. I also consider how it is that man will actually take up arms against God in one last short lived battle before Satan is cast into the Lake of Fire. This speaks volumes to how hard mans heart is and how no amout of proof, experience, or even seeing with ones own eyes will be able to soften those stone cold, tempered hearts. Pretty Incredible and difficult to comprehend.
If it were proven that the world is only 6000 years old, then Darwinist would just say evolution happens alot faster than we thought. Evolution is just an excuse to not believe in a Creator. If it were proven that evolution is untrue, then people would worship another god besides the One true God. If it were proven that the God of the Bible is the One true God, then people still wouldn't worship Him in Spirit and in truth. They would pretend He is like the god of Mormonism or Jehovah Witnesses.
