Pope Francis Calls for 'Legitimate Redistribution' of Wealth

Pope Francis told U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Friday that the world body must do more to help the poor and should encourage the "legitimate redistribution" of wealth.

Francis, who since his election last year has often called for significant changes to economic systems, made his comments in an address to Ban and heads of many U.N. agencies meeting in Rome.

"In the case of global political and economic organization, much more needs to be achieved, since an important part of humanity does not share in the benefits of progress and is in fact relegated to the status of second-class citizens," Francis said. ...

The pope does not practice what he preaches!
Some idea of the real estate and other forms of wealth controlled by the [Roman] Catholic Church may be gathered by the remark of a member of the New York Catholic Conference, namely ‘that his church probably ranks second only to the United States government in total annual purchase’. Another statement, made by a nationally syndicated Catholic priest, perhaps is even more telling. ‘The Catholic Church’, he said, ‘must be the biggest corporation in the United States. We have a branch office in every neighborhood. Our assets and real estate holdings must exceed those of Standard Oil, A.T. &T., and U.S. Steel combined. And our roster of dues-paying members must be second only to the tax rolls of the United States government.’
The [Roman] Catholic Church, once all her assets have been put together, is the most formidable stockbroker in the world. …The Wall Street Journal said that the Vatican’s financial deals in the U.S. alone were so big that very often it sold or bought gold in lots of a million or more dollars at one time.

Calls to mind that familiar maxim and the unholy RC's version of the "golden rule"

"It is impossible to calculate the wealth of the Roman Catholic Church. In truth, the church itself likely could not answer that question, even if it wished to.

Its investments and spending are kept secret. Its real estate and art have not been properly evaluated, since the church would never sell them.

There is no doubt, however, that between the church’s priceless art, land, gold and investments across the globe, it is one of the wealthiest institutions on Earth.

Since 313 A.D., when Catholicism became the official religion of the Roman Empire, its power has been in near-constant growth.

The church was able to acquire land, most notably the Papal States surrounding Rome, convert pagan temples and claim relics for itself. Over 300 years, it became one of Europe’s largest landowners.

For the next thousand years, tithes and tributes flowed in from all over Europe. Non-Christians and even fellow Christians were killed and their property confiscated." (

“for we are not ignorant of his (Satan's) devices.” II Cor. 2:11
A far more sinister agenda is behind this pope's call for “Redistribution of Wealth”, namely the aspiration shared by all popes to rule the world. In his article entitled: 'The Pope of Rome Calls for a WORLD GOVERNMENT', .Shaun Willcock, Biblical Apologist, examines Catholic social doctrine in the context of biblical prophecy and the ulterior motives that lie behind it!
The hypocrisy of this Papal call for a redistribution of the world’s wealth is astounding. As the leader of the richest institution on the face of the earth,i Benedict should practice what he preaches! As he professes to be so concerned about the world’s poor, and as he professes to be the head of the “one true Church” on earth, he should immediately put into practice the words of the Lord Jesus to the rich young man: “Go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor” (Matt. 19:21). He should immediately instruct his priests worldwide to sell the “Church” of Rome’s vast treasures, its cathedrals and church buildings, its priceless artworks, its stocks in innumerable corporations, its factories and other businesses, its real estate, and all the other things that have made it so astoundingly wealthy. But this he would never do.

Few passing London tourists would ever guess that the premises of Bulgari, the upmarket jewellers in New Bond Street, had anything to do with the pope. Nor indeed the nearby headquarters of the wealthy investment bank Altium Capital, on the corner of St James's Square and Pall Mall.

But these office blocks in one of London's most expensive districts are part of a surprising secret commercial property empire owned by the Vatican."

The methodology the RC church (not to be confused with Christ's church) has employed over the centuries of her existence to “redistribute the wealth” has been to loot and pillage the riches of others in order to amass wealth unto themselves.
The ruthless character of both the Crusades and the Inquisition provide compelling evidence that violence / murder / and the unlawful confiscation of the goods of others was sanctioned by the avaricious pontiffs of the unholy RC “church”, who enriched themselves at the expense of others, whose blood is on their hands!
God's Word testifies against them.
“Thou shalt not kill.” (Ex. 20:13) Thou shalt not steal.” (Ex. 20:15)
The popes of Rome are nothing but contemptible robber barons who hide behind a pretense of holiness! What a mockery these imposters have of the religion of Christ! What dishonour they have brought to His Name!
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked.” (Gal. 6:7)
As Christ said . . “Ye shall know them by their fruits.” (Matt. 7:16)
Roman Catholicism is not Christ's church!
Christ is the Head of His Church. Ephesians 5:23:
"For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church; and he is the saviour of the body."

Acts 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Acts 2:43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

Acts 2:44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

Acts 2:45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

Acts 2:46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Dorcas, I too am praying likewise. History confirms that the RC "church" has always subscribed to "redistribution of wealth". I think in pope Franny's parallel universe, he would have us sign over our paychecks to the Vatican and he would then be the papal paymaster who would dole out the funds as he sees fit. My husband Ralph thinks he would make an interesting character in the Batman series, alongside the Joker! Thankfully the mask of the NOT SO HOLY Roman Catholic “church” has slipped and she is being seen by Christians in truth for what she is . . 'MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH"! Soon . . in the fullness of time . . the imposter posing as the “bride of Christ” will receive her just reward, when perfect justice will be exacted upon her by the Righteous Judge of all the Earth who will reward her double according to her wicked works.**”Come hither; I will show unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”***(Rev. 17:1-2; Rev. 18)

". . . . Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."

I agree JuneAnnette, the antichrist is indeed trying to deflect the attention away from the rapes and molestations that have been ongoing by sodomite " priests" and to protect his vast wealth that was gotten by murder, pillaging, and the lottery system of indulgences for the dead.
Praying the Lord will tear down this abominable religion masquerading as Christian ..soon!

The pope is attempting to deflect attention away from his corrupt organization re: RC SEX ABUSE, whom the UN has accused of violations against the Int'l Treaty against Torture !
I share with the readers a noteworthy comment made by an RC at another website in connection with this news item.

"Having done volunteer work in Southern Africa immediately after the Rhodesian war ended, I worked with many well educated Marxists from Zimbabwe. They repeated the marxist tripe over and over again that “if you have two pair of shoes and your neighbor has none, then you are a criminal.” I despise Marxism with a passion. The root of Marxism and redistributionism is simply this: “they want your stuff.”

Why doesn’t the Pope or any of these liberation theologists ever refer to the Decalogue? “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

You shall not covet your neighbor’s bank account, wages, house, car, shoes, health insurance, his balanced budget, etc. If using the proven lethal, murderous, unthinking, easily corrupted force of government to take away somebody’s wages or property is not the ultimate manifestation of covetousness, then what is

Redistribution of wealth is a myth. In order to be REdistributed, the wealth has to be distributed in the first place, which it is is earned.

Strat, I don't see your point. Wealth is meaningless to God. He through Christ made everything, and everything belongs to the Trinity. This is certainly not an excuse for the An Examination of the Word-faith Movement and other ideas that we deserve health and wealth.

Being part of The Papacy would be enough condemnation for Franny. Since the Romish Church always occupies the moral low ground, what this Unholiness says is only of interest to Romists and shouldn't be to Christians.

The supposed poverty of Jesus is a myth,Jesus is God and owned and owns everything, a poor man doesn't pay his taxes by miraculously placing a coin in a Fish's mouth,a poor man doesn't feed 5000 people with a few Fish and loaves of Bread,a poor man doesn't walk on water,a poor man cannot call legions of Angels to his aid,a poor man cannot be tempeted to turn stones into bread, can a poor man command the wind and waves to be real need to continue because the point is obvious.

Can anyone name a singe time when Jesus was a victim of violence until he chose to be ? anyone of us could be shot, stabbed or run over by a train today and never see it coming.

We humans are poor,we starve, die of thirst, disease and violence,we have no command over anything,we wrestle an existence from a force called nature which would wipe us out if God did not intervene,to be truly poor is to have no hope in yourself to ever change anything,to be helpless....Jesus was never helpless but only submitted to the will of the Father,he was never poor apart from the choices he made to do what had to be done in order to save us from our sins, that is not nor has it ever been poverty of any kind.

The pope is a Socialist! That being said . .
In order to really give legitimacy to the pope's remarks, I think it only fitting that he should get the ball rolling by "redistributing the Vatican's enormous wealth" which they have amassed . . er stolen . . over the centuries of their existence.
Vatican Billions . . Two Thousand Years of Wealth / by Avro Manhattan

“Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
- Matthew 6:21

“Jesus, the founder of Christianity, was the poorest of the poor.
Roman Catholicism, which claims to be His church, is the richest of the rich, the wealthiest institution on earth. How come, that such an institution, ruling in the name of this same itinerant preacher, whose want was such that he had not even a pillow upon which to rest his head, is now so top-heavy with riches that she can rival - indeed, that she can put to shame - the combined might of the most redoubtable financial trusts, of the most potent industrial super-giants, and of the most prosperous global corporation of the world?”
Roman Catholicism is not Christ's Church!
Christ is the Head of His Church and the Saviour of the Body. (Eph. 5:23)

His Unholiess at least gave the essential wing of the GOP, the Romish wing, something to think about,
Jack Benny's wallet--a Republican's wallet.

Apparently Luke 6
29 To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer also the other; and from him who takes away your cloak, don’t withhold your coat also. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and don’t ask him who takes away your goods to give them back again.

Apparently isn't in the KJV?
