Vatican Defrocked 848 Priests, Sanctioned 2,572 Others

A Vatican official revealed during a U.N. Committee hearing on Tuesday that the Roman Catholic Church defrocked 848 priests who raped or molested children and sanctioned another 2,572 others since 2004. Figures show that it has also paid $ 2.5 billion in compensation to victims in the U.S. alone.

"While the Holy See does not have the competency or the ability to initiate criminal proceedings against crimes that are committed in territories outside Vatican City State, it makes every effort to conduct ecclesiastical proceedings against clerics against whom credible accusations of sexual abuse of minors have been presented," the Holy See representative to Geneva, Archbishop Silvano Tomasi, told Vatican Radio following the hearing. ...

JuneAnnette, we miss your useful information on some of the other threads. Something new on Satan's Church, ]]UN Committee against Torture critical of Vatican's refusal to assist investigations into child sex abuse excerpt from this URL, "he UN's torture watchdog has criticised the Vatican for its reported refusal to provide information to authorities, including a NSW inquiry into child sex abuse."

Yes, M for MATURE; X for X-RATED! Yet . . this is the true face of the unholy Roman Catholic "church"!
"And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them."
Eph. 5:11

It seems implausible to me that otherwise intelligent people are willing to ignore the abundant and compelling evidence regarding the abuse of children across the globe by the spiritual rulers in the Roman Catholic “church” that unarguably and categorically proves the “church” of which they are members is not guided by the Holy Spirit, neither the “one true church” built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, of which Jesus Christ is the chief cornerstone and only head.(Eph. 2:20; Eph. 5:23)

Sadly, many are so blinded by their institutional loyalty they find themselves unable to act rationally in the face of the painful realities with which they are now confronted which compels them to leave, but choose instead to remain tethered to a "church" that is utterly devoid of any
moral or spiritual credibility.

Parents who are genuinely interested in the well-being and welfare of their children, as well as providing a safe and wholesome environment that both instills and mirrors the traditional family values they hold and cherish must LEAVE!

JuneAnnette, that was one reason, I have put up the URL, ]]Secrets of the Vatican (video), on occasion.I have to say your reference to ]]Why Are Sodomites Attracted to the Priesthood?, could possibly be rated "M" as indeed the PBS URL that I put up. But both no doubt valuable to mature audiences.

The unholy Roman Catholic "church" has been outed as a gay closeted community, and the evidence affirms it will remain so!

"the Roman Catholic Church defrocked 848 priests who raped or molested children and sanctioned another 2,572 others since 2004"

So who is the papal antichrist trying to impress with these figures? Defrocked for raping or molesting children? - That's a punishment is it? Meanwhile back at Vatican ranch they've hired another 2572 idolatrous blasphemous practitioners who are sent out under the same dark cloud of evil to potentially commit the same heinous crimes among children. Satan must be rubbing his hands in glee at the future of this his worldly religious syndicate, at what evil acts he can continue to make happen in the name of Roman Catholic.

2Thes 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

The foundations of the self-proclaimed “one true church of Jesus Christ” are crumbling / collapsing under the insupportable weight of the rot & corruption that lurks beneath the surface of its’ pretentious pious exterior. In the words of former RC priest, Victim of RC Clergy Abuse, & Head of Road to Recovery Victim's Advocacy Group Bob Hoatson . . “the Catholic Church has been corrupted to its core."
The RC clergy abuse SCANDAL brought to light in our day by the providence and mercy of God. has since morphed into the MOTHER OF ALL COVER-UPS and the SCANDAL of the CENTURY. What a mockery Roman Catholicism has made of true Christianity. That's the real SHAME! That's the real SCANDAL!
The Roman Catholic priests & the "so-called princes of the church", those who presumptuously call themselves "Christ's Representatives" on earth have given the religion of Christ a bad name! How fitting then that the Roman Catholic “church” which has so greatly dishonoured the name of Jesus Christ and brought His doctrine and His cause into such disrepute is now being exposed & SHAMED in such a public way for the reproach they have laid upon Christ!
“For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; nor hid, that shall not be known.” (Luke 12:2)
Roman Catholicsm is not Christ's Church!

Over 3000 REPORTED cases of abuse since 2004 and an average of 400 new cases REPORTED annualy since 2010. Reported cases and only since 2004. How many more victims are out there and how long has this been going on, this secret little club, that is.
I can't quote verbatim but the church of Rome states that if a priest isn't right with God, has ongoing, unconfessed, etc, sin in his life, the mass he performs along with the eucharist are both of non effect.
Anyway, I don't get how there can be any defense of this system. Period. The one true church hid theae pedophiles from the top on down for who knows for how long and only came clean after years of resistance because of public outcry. They wouldn't cooperate with detectives, and they moved the pedophiles around to contain their secret, allowing them to find new children to hunt and abuse and now they act as if they care, like they are so outraged and won't tolerate such sin when they knew about the abuse the whole time and condoned it by not taking action until they had no choice. I think the outrage is over their loss of massive amounts of money...not the children who have been molested, raped, and damaged for life.
