Lincoln police arrest man distributing Christian tracts
A man who was distributing religious fliers outside of Lincoln’s Pinnacle Bank Arena faces a trespassing charge, which he says he intends to fight.
Larry Ball was jailed after he approached strangers and asked if they wanted a small, green flier titled ‚ÄúHow to Know God,‚ÄĚ according to the Lincoln Journal Star (http://bit.ly/1ma13de ).
City Attorney Rod Confer said he was unfamiliar with the exact legal situation, but didn’t know of any specific city codes restricting people from handing out religious literature on the arena grounds....
If you're using the a desktop, I would recommend the Lincoln Journal Star site for a much more detailed article on what is happening to Larry, if you're on your using a mobile device, this site should give you no trouble, though the article is much, much shorter, ]]Trial held in lawsuit over Lincoln arena’s ban on leafleting.
Yes, the saga does continue. if you're using a mobile device, like I did access this article, the source may try to force an advertisement on you. Anyway, quite a lengthy article about what is happening to Larry. What Gil teaches John of UK, can be found in the sermon, ]]God Hates Sin, Hates Sinners. Remember one of the five solas pointed out to the glory of God alone. God does things first for His glory and then graciously give us grace for that reason. Sorry I didn't see your comment earlier.
Jim Lincoln wrote: John UK Psalms 11 5 The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, And the one who loves violence His soul hates. 6 Upon the wicked He will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup.---]]NASB John U.K., I would hope your pastor would not present God as an all powerful flower child, Love, love, love...
Don't be ridiculous, Jim.
It is we that need reconciling with God, not the other way round. It is we who are at enmity with God, not the other way round. It is we who hate God, not the other way round.
I hope Gil doesn't preach, "Well, sinner, God hates you, but will begrudgingly forgive your sins on Christ's account.
Actually God desires not the death of the wicked, but that he turn and live.
Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel (GOOD NEWS) to every creature. He that believeth and is baptised shall be saved, and he that believeth not shall be damned.
I rather think that God hath granted the Gentiles repentance unto life. Doesn't sound to me like he hates them.

God in his love and glory had Christ die for our sins, what more can be asked? If it isn't in the Bible you aren't going to get it.
Lot at Gil's last two sermons, both on the topic of the Christian and sin, e.g.,
Gil Rugh said or, wrote: All sin is serious as an act of rebellion against God. Sin never impacts only the sinner but all directly involved and has a ripple effect spreading far beyond what is often realized. Once sin is confessed and repented of it is completely forgiven by God. Sin forgiven does not mean there are not consequences as a result of the act of sin....

So Gi has preached a sermon entitled "God hates sin, hates sinners". I wonder how he addresses sinners, when he informs sinners about this? God hates you, but he also loves you? On the one hand hate, on the other love?
If I was still a lost sinner, I would get mighty confused.
Thankfully I heard a message which said that "While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." That "Christ died for the ungodly." That "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners."
I never knew that Jesus loved me, until the Bible told me so.
Perhaps Jim is a secret Westbro Baptist, and has banners outside his house which read in big, bold type, "God Hates Figs". It's like an evangelistic team attending a sodomite gathering and going up to them and saying, "God hates you, you're damned." Well, they might well be damned, because they are sinners, but as scripture says, "...and such were some of you..."
Am I to trust a God who hates me? Am I to call upon the name of the Lord ..... who hates me?

Sorry, it doesn't. There is no hate in these verses. Wrath and hate are not synonyms.

The first sentence is good. The rest, too mangled. You saying his grace is a function of what they do? That he hates his creation?

The Dems have only one wing, which is why they fly in circles, getting nowhere.
As for the God hates everything thing, you should cease promoting that of which you know not.
Jim Lincoln wrote: and yes, Neil, most of Americans expect a healthcare plan out of the Republicans,
Brooks didn't say that. Looks like you're playing evasive games, bringing up the distraction of an alleged Bandwagon this time. But if Americans do think this way, that's nothing to me: I say they're foolish to fall for a con like that. That's not the proper role of the Fed gov't, nor has the Fed gov't shown any evidence of competence in this field.
Since you now say "trogolodyte" instead, that's enough for me to conclude that you have no intention of repenting from your bigoted, juvenile name-calling. Bigots like to believe that whole classes of people have a monopoly on virtue (e.g. Israelis, Communist Democrats) or evil (e.g. Repubs).
Bill liberty from sin, there's nothing about political liberty in the Bible, thankfully we do have political liberty thanks to mainly Deists, Free Masons, also a few atheists and Christians. Christianity survives in other settings than one's that are actually built on self-interest, perhaps thrive in other societies, ]]Potential Pitfalls of Prosperity.
David Brooks in not Republican troglodyte, and yes, Neil, most of Americans expect a healthcare plan out of the Republicans, if they are going to replace the Republican healthcare plan that was in place by Obama.
Now, I put up this link in another thread because it was mainly about another topic --but-- near the end the topic was changed between a political battle between a normal Southern Republican and a Republican troglodyte, i.e. Tea Partyer, ]]Shields and Brooks on Bergdahl criticism, Mississippi primary politics, you can see either the video, listen to the audio, or look over the transcript. The Mississippi stuff is near the end. Anyway, interesting comments. Too bad most Republicans weren't like David Brooks, I might still be one.
Good posts Neil & Strat, David Brooks is one of those "experts" that PBS likes to have on hand along with Mark Shields to explain everything in an "objective manner", but as anyone with discernment can see their "objectivity" is not without bias. In fact, no one is really without bias. Some are biased in favor of Biblical Truth, Liberty, and the U.S. Constitutional Republic while others are biased in favor of falsehoods, Collectivism, and the Globalist New World Order of Socialism that seeks to enslave everyone under its control, except of course the oligarchy who run it.
This man who was arrested handing out tracts obviously fits into the first category while those who oppose him fit into the latter. "Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty."
