Sweden's Pentecostal Megapastor Converts to Catholicism
The founder of a 3,300-member megachurch in one of Sweden's largest cities announced yesterday [Sunday, March 9] his decision to leave his charismatic congregation and join the Roman Catholic Church.
Ulf Ekman, who introduced Sweden to the prosperity-emphasizing Word of Faith movement when he founded Word of Life Ministries and Word of Life Church, had stepped down from the pastorate at the Uppsala church last spring.
"I have come to realize that the movement I for the last 30 years have represented, despite successes and much good that has occurred on various mission fields, is part of the ongoing Protestant fragmentation of Christendom," Ekman wrote in an op-ed for Swedish newspaper Daegens Nyheter....
Going from one false religious house to another is no big deal. Pentecostal charismatic religious pandemonium, babble and heresies such as salvation by works is not a huge step away from the papal antichrist and his confused and gullible religious ideologies. So it is no great loss to any serious Biblical Christian church that this guy crosses over to the popish idolatries.
"In joining the Catholic church, Ekman, founder of Scandinavia's largest Bible school, said he plans to pursue unity among Christian movements and denominations."
Well, it's amazing to me that a man who knows so much about the Word of God, really knows so little, if that makes sense. I'm always dumbfounded when those with the knowledge turn away from clear bible doctrines, precepts, and theology; taking up arms against God while believing they had some sort of an epiphany which has set them apart from the rest in knowledge and holiness. The man, who must know better after all these years, has joined the ecumenical; siding with a pope who declared that we all worship the same God but just have different ways of doing it, different ways of getting to Heaven.

Pentecostal Churches are not dead churches. I have a Nephew and Niece In-Law who reside in Tulare, California and they are Pentecostals and their church First Church of God of Tulare, California is a Bible believing church that preaches the biblical doctrine of salvation.
